Beach house holiday rentals in Palermo

We just loved this place! Valeria and her father Aldo were delightful hosts, always at the ready to help with whatever we needed. The apartment is the entire second floor (American) of a large, elegant house facing the public part of the beach at Mondello--which meant that we simply walked out the door and into the ocean, bringing only our keys and towels. The cheerful sounds of the beach float up to the balcony, where we spent many hours watching the world go by. Yet it was peaceful and quiet at night because the street between the house and beach is entirely closed to car traffic June 3 to September 30. Tons of restaurants nearby, and a 20-25 minute drive to the centers of Palermo and to Monreale. After exploring each day we came home to evening swims. Note: this is a home with personality where a family was raised, not a sterile condo. We loved its homey vibe, lived-in quality, and generous space. Beds, AC, showers, kitchen were all clean and functioned well. Hope to be back soon!

I have been using Airbnb for the past 8 years and Paolas house was the best I've ever stayed in. Communication was very easy, our flight was delayed so we arrived very late at night. Her son Stefano met us and went through all the features in the house. He also gave very good restaurant recommendations. The house is at the far end of Mondello beach it's about 7 min walk to the beach. If you want to go into Mondello town the 603 bus stop is around the corner. What makes this house special is the extra touches, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs are provided. Coffee pods, and they even arranged a supply of water which is a godsend if you don't have a car. There's a huge living room 2 x double rooms with their own bathrooms so very private. Outdoor space is spacious. Thanks Paola and family for looking after us so well

Maria is a fabulous, friendly and informative host. We arrived before official check but Maria greeted us, stored our luggage and gave us towels and umbrellas for the beach. The apartment was in a quiet location yet near to the beach. The top terrace is lovely and we spent an enjoyable late evening watching the stars. Mondello is a lovely break away from the bustle of Palermo. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s and Maria is one of the best hosts we have ever had. Thank you for making our trip so special. Maria gave us great recommendations for beaches and restaurants.

Luciana and her family were wonderful to deal with and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a building in their garden. They kindly allowed us to use their drive to park our hire car. The apartment has a beautiful roof terrace which is accessed via an outdoor spiral staircase. A great place to have a morning coffee or to enjoy a good book, the view is great and there’s even a view of the beach through the houses. The apartment is compact but with everything you could need (especially air con!). Mondello is a great place to base yourself for trips to see things on the North, west and central areas of Sicily. Luciana and Valerio spoke the same amount of English as I do Italian, ie not very much, but this didn’t hinder our communication and friendliness. Their lovely daughter Laura messaged us in English regularly so it was very easy to communicate. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to stay in Sicily.

Alessandro's place was amazing! He was a brilliant, responsive host who was attentive and caring. He was very flexible, even with our check-in that was later than expected due to a delayed flight, and gave us a tour of the home as soon as we arrived. He also gave us lots of recommendations and an overview of the local area before we arrived. Not only was he attentive, but he also gave us lots of advice - he even went out of his way by giving us a lift to a car rental place completely free of charge. The check out process was extremely relaxed, and there was brilliant communication. Overall, the host Alessandro was lovely, going above and beyond, as well as the villa being absolutely beautiful. There was a gate which allowed us to put our car there safely, there was cooking facilities, an outdoor space which was so lovely to spend time in, as well as a washing machine available. The outdoor shower was also a great bonus, which we loved using! I would definitely recommend.

We had a great time! Gisella and her son are very friendly, always available and welcoming. The apartment is simple, clean, quiet and very pleasant to live in. The terrace is ideal, especially for breakfast in the sun with a view of the peaceful sea. The location was perfect for us, central to visit the different sites of Sicily that we had planned: we were able to make a beautiful discovery every day. We rented a car to get around and it was a really ideal starting point to explore the island and its beauties,😍 some corners are heavenly. We were happy to return late in the evening to Gisella's apartment where the great environmental calm made the nights refreshing. Thank you very much for the attention you paid to us when we arrived for our birthday. It was very touching. We stayed 10 days from May 23 to June 3 and it was a wonderful discovery trip. ☀️❤️

A tranquil oasis of a place set in beautiful gardens, a fantastic pool and with very welcoming and generous hosts. We, a family of 4, spent 5 nights here in July and had a wonderful time. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance but having a car in the July heat made everything a good bit more comfortable. Highly recommend.

We were a family of seven, grandparents, parents, three very active boys (ages 6-12). The owner and his wife were gracious hosts, greeting us with Easter time treats. The house and gardens are even more impressive than the description. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchens were well-equipped. We had a mishap and the host generously helped to solve it. You must have a car. The host can recommend excellent beaches and fun things to do We would love to return.

Our host contacted us immediately after our reservation was confirmed and made it easy for us to get home. When we got home, he welcomed us and explained in detail every part of the house and all the possibilities in the house. Paolo immediately returned to our message when we needed help, even making us very happy to bring us what we needed. The house was exactly as described and had a great atmosphere where you could sleep and wake up with the sound of the waves. It was very peaceful in terms of location. It was great to go to the sea in front of the house and watch the view from the balcony. Thank you very much to our host Paolo:)

Nuccia was a wonderful host. The house is near the airport and has amazing lemon trees in the garden. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful, amazing stay! We started off our trip in Catania area and finished it here. It’s only a couple min ride from the airport which was great for us since we flew out of Palermo. The home looked just like the photos. In fact, the yard/pool even looked bigger in real life. We couldn’t use the pool because it rained a bit during our stay, but it was super clean/we still had a blast and enjoyed sitting outside when it stopped raining. We traveled with 4 young children and they absolutely loved the play area on the lawn. That was such a nice added bonus. Home was spotless and had enough space to fit our group of 12. PLENTY of extra blankets and linen. Each room had AC which was nice too. Host was very responsive and great at communicating! We didn’t have any issues finding the home and we were greeted upon arrival with some yummy pies and snacks. So grateful we found this gem.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully maintained Airbnb! The space was spotless, stylishly decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, making check-in and communication a breeze. One thing to note: the property is located next to an event center, which means you might hear music and festivities, especially on weekends or during special events. We unfortunately heard 4 nights of loud music. While even having the shades and windows closed, we still needed noise canceling airpods to still drown out the sound. We also had the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedrooms did not hear the music. It might be something to consider if you're looking for total quiet. Overall, we loved the vibrant location and the convenience of being close to local attractions. If you're looking for a clean, cozy, and well-located place with flare!

We had a wonderful time at Vito's place. He is a superb host with lots of tips about the surrounding area and is very quick to reply. It is amazing how close the house is to the city and how quiet it is! You will not regret staying at Vito's place. Everything you need is in or around the apartment. Only recommendation we have is bring your anti mosquito spray, because they are everywhere in Sicily.

This is a beautiful apartment if you want to spend time sitting on a terrace overlooking a beautiful view - this is the absolute winning part of this property! We loved the outdoor space, the cool property, the facilities to cook up breakfast and eat on the terrace. We felt very welcome on our honeymoon and would recommend this for a private holiday! Santino offers lots of recommendations and it made our stay super easy. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful week at Nino and Edy's. Impeccable accommodation, impeccably clean, modern, tastefully decorated, quiet on the heights of Castellmare with a magnificent view of the city, the sea and the mountain. Nino is an exceptional host, welcoming, very kind and generous, always ready to help (he picked us up in town when we arrived, took care of repairing my husband's broken watch, offered us figs and sweets...) Castellmare and its surroundings are beautiful, lots of places to visit. If you come to Sicily, stay with Nino and Edy, you won't regret it. Sylvie

We had a pleasant stay at Gabriele's, with a magnificent view, it is a small haven of peace. Be careful if you have a large car, because to get to the accommodation the path is very tight (we had a Jeep), however if you do not want to risk the car you can park before the path (2min walk from the house). Gabriele was very responsive to our messages and flexible, we were warmly welcomed and I recommend the address ☺️
