River Cottage was such a gem! The surroundings were like a jungle, the grounds were beautiful and there was fun activities like board games and kayaks. We were even able to borrow a fishing pole and caught a fish! I enjoyed walking around the farm property and river area. My favorite part was access to a lookout tower off the deck. I made my latte each morning and climbed up there to enjoy it while watching and listening to all the birds. Book this place, it's magical!

Our time at the Shearer’s cottage was absolutely magical. My husband and I stayed with our three children for three nights. We were all utterly delighted when we walked in the door - lots of excited gasps from everyone - the surroundings are gorgeous, the property is thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean… far enough from the madding crowd to feel peaceful and secluded, yet still a very convenient drive to Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. Ian and Anna were very friendly and communicative and made us feel totally welcome. Allow time to make the most of this beautiful place. The dawn chorus is glorious! Make sure you opt in for the spa by the river. We really hope we can visit again. Thank you so much Ian and Anna.

A great space with plenty of room for our weekend away of 5 ladies. comfortable beds, a bit chilly, but nicely set out and plenty of things to use for cooking your own meals

We had a fantastic stay, this house is perfectly located right in the middle of Russell, yet is quiet with green surroundings. The house is even better in person, the photos don’t do it justice! Check in was easy and our host was so helpful, even bringing over some last minute high chairs and portable cots for our baby. Thank you, if we come to Russell again we will be back!

Gorgeous! Well located, beautiful private cottage. You cannot go wrong booking with Steve, Dot and Charlie. Wish we had time to stay longer; will definitely return.

The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

Everything was easy, clean and exactly how we expected it. Booking, check in and check out was uncomplicated. Definitely a great spot if you just want to relax and enjoy! Garden, terrace and house are beautiful and the short walk to the beach is amazing. We would definitely recommend this place and come again!

We had the best time in our 5 nights at the Cow Shed. It is such a cute , delightful place with such quality equipment. Everything you could ever need. Al and Trish are the best hosts, we were completely spoiled with incredible fresh sourdough bread handmade by Al, who worked in Michelin Star restaurants. Jersey milk, thick cream, home made butter and divine ultra choc brownie made by Trish, who is a pastry chef. You will love their unique style, and lifestyle. Kerikeri is a posh and delightful place. The Rainbow falls, beautiful sight and walk, for a more muddy and slippery, but short walk, Charlies rock falls are stunning. The pillar rock formations, wow. The tropical gardens... Art Park is a lovely dog friendly walk too. Stone store and historic house and tea room, craft beer restarant next door all lovely. Loved the beach near Aroha Island too.

Jeremy & Andrea were helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for morning and evening walk One of the highlights was definitely the wood-fired pizza oven. It was such a fun we really enjoyed making pizzas and spending the evening outdoors

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. Whether you're just a couple or with a big group of friends, Gary and Debbie's place is perfect for you. Brilliant communication from area experts. We hope to be back soon 😊

A beautiful, airy house just steps away from one of the loveliest beaches in Aotearoa. A magic spot. Every facility you could want is there. Comfortable beds, nice linen, a lovely kitchen to cook in if you feel so inclined. The hosts were responsive, friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Our days started with a beautiful beach walk. An easy access via a short walkway out to the main road and beach, about 100mts from the cottage entrance. Lots to do in all directions. The night sky was so clear on the last night of our 3 day stay. Truely a star gazers heaven. Paradise. Thank you Sarah for our most restful stay.

Lovely family home with all that the description and photos promise and much more! A once in a lifetime location. We stayed here for the last days of our NZ trip and really appreciated relaxing and exploring the area and fabulous beaches north and south. A big thank you Carol!

We loved staying at Riverduck cottage. It is warm and welcoming. It is clean, well-kept and well equipped. We loved staying at their cozy pad. We would definitely love to come back and recommend it to family and friends.

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

Had an amazing stay at Lucy cottage. Felt right at home the minute we walked through the front door. The cottage was so homely and cosy, the beds were very comfortable and the cottage was situated in a beautiful garden. Felt very peaceful and private, we wished we could have stayed longer! The hosts were marvellous - very helpful, attentive but respectful, full of local knowledge and always happy for a chat. I stayed for four weeks as part of a job in Whangarei and would highly recommend to professionals who want to get out of Whangarei and enjoy the beauty of the Heads. If I'm ever up that way for work again, I will certainly be hitting up Rodgers Post.

The cottage is charming, very well equipped, immaculately clean with a peaceful rural view of sheep, and a lake over in the valley with geese flying in. The beds are extremely comfortable and Bridget and Eli are great hosts which made our stay so relaxing and comfortable.We loved it.
