Cheerful & Charming Newly Renovated Cottage

NancyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a lovely home! And so nicely decorated and well laid out. There was plenty of room for our group of hikers. The location was perfect due to its proximity to the Appalachian Trail. My sister does a lot of cooking and the kitchen had just about everything we needed. We felt so at home that we will try to stay again if we get around to finishing the southern part of Shenandoah NP. Of course, the MAIN thing anyone needs while on vacation is a good night's sleep. The beds were SO comfortable and we slept very well. The big backyard was also a bonus. Definitely a 5 star stay.

Riverfront Tree House- Ski, Hot Tub, 3 Fire Pits

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Place was very new feeling and clean beds and furniture. Host was very helpful and responsive and actually cared. Overall great little home in a great little area close to nature and at the end of a very private road. My only complaint was the house next door was also an Airbnb (wife looked it up) and it is a larger one and there was a large family get together of sorts and took away from some of the private feel with their music. That was just luck though - Great please to stay if you're in that area.

THE PERFECT HIKING & WINERY COUNTRY RETREAT

AdamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Majestic Meadows. Sandy & Chris were wonderful hosts and the property was a great home away from home, with a beautiful courtyard full of colorful birds, a private pool, and a ton of flowering plants. Close enough to town to not feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but far away enough to feel secluded. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Highly recommend.

Pets? YES! Hot Tub | Fast Wi-Fi | Fire Pit

SierraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
My husband and I had a great stay here with our dog. The house was beautiful and very clean and our dog loved the fenced in yard. Dolly had so many recommendations for local restaurants, breweries/wineries, and things to do. You can definitely hear the train going by but it really didn’t bother us at all it’s not loud enough to distract from a conversation or wake you up. Overall we loved staying here and would gladly stay here again if back in the area!

Fantasy Cottage: Private Pond, Waterfall, Hot Tub

christopherRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Karma is real, so I must share this true GEM with the world. This was a bday getaway for my wife and I with our pup. I WIN BEST Husband of the Year because of Frank's Pond Cottage. I gave her the gift of her very own waterfall.. Beautiful luxury in hidden away by the Shenandoah. We were able to UberEats while also having an Uber take us to Element. Great food. Frank and team recommended horseback riding, did that too, MUST DO SO! We will be back and already have plans for next trip. Run DON'T WALK to spend time at this wonderful retreat.

Round House w Mountain View | Hot Tub

MeganRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The house was amazing - our kids did not want to leave! It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and we had a really wonderful stay. The hot tub and fire pit were great for the few nights we stayed. We had a little trouble with the door locking but the host was extremely responsive and helpful. They then followed up the next day after getting the issue resolved to make sure we did not have any additional trouble. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

2-BR Cozy Mountain Cottage | Shenandoah Foothills

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay! It is private and peaceful. The house is perfect for a small family and we enjoyed comfortable beds at the end of a long drive and then a full day at Shenandoah National Park. The kitchen has all you need and a comfortable couch for relaxing. Our only caution is the drive to the house is steep and gravel. There are divets and “stone speed bumps” that are a bit much for any car. Would not recommend taking a low or small car for here. But if you have a good vehicle, this place is absolutely perfect for a stay in Shenandoah!

Cottage by the Caverns *Mountain Views* *Fire Pit*

JeffreyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family had a wonderful stay at Tyler's place. It's a perfect jumping off point for day hikes in Shenandoah, but with great restaurants and other attractions for kids (caverns, etc...) nearby. The place was very comfortable and clean, and Tyler was a great host. Thank you so much, we would definitely book again if headed back that way.

Family retreat-easy drive,cell service,cute town

TamaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wow I don’t know where to start. We first chose this beautiful place for two weeks and couldn’t help but extend another weeks stay. This home is positioned perfectly away from others with the river easily accessible behind the property. My partner and I found so many nearby trails to explore including an abundance of nearby farms to see the local animals. The Mountain View’s surrounding the area were breathe taking! About a mile from the property were some very tasty restaurants. We are from Jersey and Sal’s Italian made us feel right at home. There were stores under 15 minutes away allowing hassle free shopping while escaping back to the secluded cabin. Kinga was beyond helpful during our stay. She responds within a reasonable time and was very attentive. We will absolutely return to this getaway cabin again. You will get the best of every world at this beautiful home.🩷

Riverfront Cottage

NicoleRating, 5 stars31 months ago
Super cute place with a phenomenal view. It was very welcoming, with a s’mores packet left for us. There’s a cute guest book which shows everyone’s favorite things to do and great inspiration of things to do. Reception isn’t the greatest but that’s not what this vacation was about.

Dog friendly cute 1Bed cottage on farm - NewMarket

KelsieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
My fiancé, pup, and I booked this place for a relaxing valentine’s weekend getaway, and we got exactly that! The cottage was charming and such a peaceful oasis with the beautiful views and farm animals in clear sight. The hosts were kind enough to leave us farm fresh eggs, muffins, and valentine’s themed chocolates — all were delicious and well appreciated! Additionally, they were very responsive and extremely friendly :) My fiancé and I spent time cooking dinner together, I baked, and watercolored, it was a lovely time! I highly recommend this place and hope to be back!

Shenandoah River House RIVERFRONT DOG FRIENDLY

GunnarRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This was a great getaway! Right on the Shenandoah river. It was so quiet and peaceful. We spent all day outside on the back porch and on the dock. There are 3 sets of steps to get down to the dock that were easy to get down. The living space was large and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed to cook. There is a Food Lion about 10 minutes away that had all the supplies we needed. Very close to many hikes/trails as well as the Luray Caverns. I would stay again!

We had an amazing time at Taby’s place. She was a great host. The cottage is pretty. The swimming pool was nice respite in the scorching sun of June. Taby was extremely friendly and also helped us with the local recommendations.

Creekside Cottage at Shenandoah

FrankRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The sign about a gate and dead end as you turn on to Cross Mountain Road from Grace Church Lane through us off but we figured it out rather quickly. May be a rough entrance on a dark stormy night or during snow - watch the bridge and the stream below. Having said this, the stream was a huge plus. The gentle flowing water that comes down the mountains from Shenandoah National Park was beautiful and peaceful! There is an alternate route if the bridge is inaccessible. Reach out to Jerry. I recommend arriving before dark. Watch for deer and other wildlife on the local roads. I saw a huge wild turkey in the woods next to the house! The property is very private but not remote - just right for us. We loved the hot tub and fireplace. The Virginia Spiderwort blossoms each morning were delightful and fascinating. There is so much nature surrounding the property. The indoors are beautifully decorated and clean. Very modern but appropriate for the Shenandoah Valley. We’d definitely come again!!

The willow tree house

KateRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Everything about the stay was great! Susan was a great host with an impeccable house. You can tell she cares about her guest, their experience and what needs they might want or encounter. The coffee and cream being available was a huge perk! The s’mores kit (wish we could have used it) was a nice touch and the chocolate in the mug. That was just in the kitchen… the bathrooms had other things available if needed. Couldn’t find a spec of dirt, dust or stray hair. Susan’s eye to detail and cleanliness showed! Would recommend this house to anyone and stay here again myself if in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The porch is amazing. The peace, wildlife, and river are amazing. Our dogs felt so at home here. The space is great and comfortable. Only 20 minutes to Shenandoah entrance and downtown Luray and 30 minutes up to Front Royal. This will definitely be on the top of our list next time we are in the area.

This house is downright wonderful. Everything is beautiful, clean and cozy. It is all just as it should be. The host was perfect: accommodating, thoughtful, and friendly. The surroundings sublime, with peace oozing out of every square inch of the house and property. There is a creek behind the house that is the icing on the cake. Wow.

Cozy Cottage Retreat: SNP, Luray Caverns, River

ChrisRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had an incredible stay at Julie’s place! Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained—the cleanliness truly stood out. The home was spacious, beautifully updated, and had every amenity we could’ve hoped for. We especially appreciated the covered parking for both our vehicles, the peaceful yard, grill, and fire pit—it made for some perfect evenings. Plus, the location was super convenient for exploring Shenandoah National Park. Julie was a thoughtful and responsive host. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
