Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pacific Beach, San Diego

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

Alain’s house is incredible! It’s perfectly located near the center of Pacific Beach but far enough out you don’t get any of the night life/noise around the Airbnb. Kitchen, BBQ, rooftop lounge with hot tub were all in great condition and very clean. Alain was very friendly and gave great recommendations for local bars, coffee shops, and restaurants in the nearby area. They even left doughnuts and a thank you card for us when we arrived. 10/10 would book this Airbnb again!

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 kiddos. Easily walkable to the beach and restaurants (Azucar is a MUST for coffee/pastries) and it was awesome having the wagon and beach chairs. Hot tub was great.

We had a lovely time celebrating graduation and Father’s Day at Teresa‘s AirBnb! It was very spacious, had a full kitchen, and all the amenities we needed for the perfect visit. The location is perfect, with plenty of places to dine & shop! And Teresa was very quick in responding to messages! We can’t thank her enough for being the perfect host!!

Cy’s place was perfect for a 4-day getaway. It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach, and we enjoyed hanging out and watching the surfers. It’s walkable to so many places in La Jolla! We walked to so many amazing restaurants like El Pescador and Trilogy Sanctuary. I took a work meeting from the coffee shop on the corner, the courtyard, and the kitchen, and WiFi worked great everywhere. Quiet hours start at 10p so we stayed in one night and used the hot tub. The bed was super comfy and the shower head was amazing. Cy is very responsive, and I really appreciated his flexibility with finding a place to keep our bags for a few hours after checkout. It really was a wonderful experience!

Husband and I enjoyed our time in this squeaky clean and cozy tiny house! Hosts were extremely communicative, kind, and accommodating. The area was perfect! One minute walk to beach. Definitely would stay again.

We had a family get together for 4 nights and 5 days and we loved the home. Check-in was easy and Susie invited us to check-in early. She was very responsive. Great clean home with lots of space. Great location with views of the ocean from upstairs. Location is awesome in a quiet neighborhood and yet close to downtown and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!

I really enjoyed staying here. It's on a canyon, which provided a great view and a nice breeze and was very quiet. We had our little dog with us and he loved being able to explore the yard. It's a great location in La Jolla / North PB. It's at the top of my list for my next trip to San Diego.

Great spot on top the hill in La Jolla. Easy access to the spots in La Jolla and PB. It’s a great neighborhood. The unit is clean. Kitchen has limited counter space but has most of what you need. Mary is nice and responds quickly when messaged. Would stay again.

I wanted to move in and stay forever. When I saw the giant bird sculptures in the photos, I was a little unsure, but they make for a great atmosphere. The murals and personal touches are fantastic for a great vacation spot. Sandra was an amazing host and even picked up a graduation decoration package for us and put those up, so it was one less thing to do during busy, busy graduation time. The rooftop deck and the third floor make it a great place for family and teenagers. The beds are very comfortable, the master shower is perfect, and everything was sparkling clean. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and parking both in the garage and on the street was easy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay.

We had a fabulous time at the Granny Flat! Everything was pristine and Kristen has thought of every amenity. She was kind and responsive. We loved the peaceful backyard with gorgeous views. The location is super convenient and a max of 25-30 mins to anywhere else in the SD area. Our pups had a great time, too! Would love to stay here again!

We absolutely loved staying here! The place is so cute & cozy. If we find ourselves back in San Diego we will definitely be booking this place.

Michelle and Robyn’s place was such a wonderful place to stay and experience, my husband wanted me to note that he wishes we can give 5 billion stars for the bed alone, the entire place was well maintained clean and so comfortable. This place was very conveniently located near downtown San Diego, Coronado island, La Jolla coves, Petco Park, Balboa Park, little Italy and the marina. The home was quiet and very private with amenities that were useful. We were so pleased with our stay and would love to visit again, if you are unsure and reading reviews please take this as your sign to book here! :)

Kathi and Byron are great hosts and the place is beautiful, exactly as described. We had a great time, the place is very close to everything, there is a liquor store just 1 block away, very comfortable bed, beautiful garden 😃😃😃😃 Thank you very much Kathi, we hope to come back soon to San Diego and we will definitely book your place again.

This is such a gem located just a few blocks from Ocean Beach. You can’t beat the price/location. We didn’t have to move our car all weekend, everything we needed was walking distance to Edwin’s place.

We are so grateful to have been able to stay at Gwynn's place, it is so peaceful and lovely. Like a secret garden getaway. We loved all the small touches, and beauty of the space. Gwynn made us feel very welcome and comfortable! The pool is amazing and the outdoor spaces are delightful. Can't wait to stay here again.

Beautiful home with plenty of space. Vanessa was very responsive and helpful with check in. I had made a request to check in early due to travelling with an infant and when I arrived she had a packnplay and a high chair set up for me. The house had several toys/books for kids along with beach chairs and shades for us to use. The pool and spa was beautiful and kept very clean. There is also a walking path at the end of the street that goes along the beach and leads to pacific beach within 15-20 minutes. Its hard to find a house this spacious and close to pacific beach for this price, would highly recommend to anyone. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive to messages which is always nice when travelling from far away.

I was looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to relax and recharge and this fit perfectly. Anita and Brian are great hosts, friendly and helpful but still respected my privacy. The setting is also beautifully landscaped and the deck was great to have for relaxing and enjoying the water view. I can highly recommend.

Cannot wait to stay here again, I couldn't beat the location. The environment was warm and inviting, clean and so close to the beach. Local restaurants were fresh and healthy. Staff was helpful and responsive even though we had no concerns. Very grateful for a wonderful stay.

Anthony’s apartment was just what I needed for my adult son and me. 2 twin beds in the living room worked well as another bedroom without the cost of a 2 bedroom. The kitchen is small but had all we needed to make bfast in the mornings. Helpful to have a parking spot in back and washer dryer in unit. I really enjoyed the location next to an urban park, pretty neighborhood for walks, and short walk to restaurants and coffee shop. Anthony was super helpful when we arrived.

A perfect place for our family during our short stay in San Diego. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located and excellent value. Teri also went above and beyond and we really appreciated her proactive help.

The apartment was so close to all the restaurants and easy to get to anywhere within around 15 minutes drive. Tina was an amazing host and on hand to answer any questions.

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!
