Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Oxfordshire

Stayed there during the weekend for a friends wedding just next door at Cornwell Manor. Beautiful cottage, very easy and quick communication with Julia, check-in extremely easy and so flexible. Julia very kindly didn't ask to leave at 11:00 sharp in the morning as per check-out deadline which was a lovely gesture since we had a pretty late night, so it was lovely to have a lay in in the super comfortable beds.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and in a fab location, perfect for our stay in Woodstock. It was cleaned spotlessly for our arrival and we were provided with all the amenities we needed for the few days we were there. Debs is a fantastic host and provided really thorough but clear instructions and responded promptly to any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re headed to Woodstock/Oxford.

This is an ideal studio apartment for single person/couple with double bed, basic well appointed kitchen and bathroom/shower. Although incorporated physically in the larger house it has its own side passage entrance and sitting out area and is well soundproofed for maximum privacy. The surrounding countryside is on the doorstep for beautiful walks and Didcot is a short drive away for a wide range of shopping options and transport links, particularly rail. Phil is a genial and responsive host and we had a perfect stay.

Jane and her husband what lovely, attentive and responsive hosts who made us feel welcome and at home for the weekend. The property is beautifully decorated and felt so cosy, there is ample parking, and - there's chickens! We even received some homegrown eggs as a leaving gift. Highly recommend!

Het is een heerlijk verrassend plekje met een schitterende tuin èn zwembad, we hadden het geluk dat het mooi weer was dus ik heb iedere ochtend gezwommen, heerlijk!! De keuken, waar ook twee stoeltjes en een tafeltje staan is wat klein maar als je niet zoveel buiten kunt zitten dan kun je ook boven in de gezellige ruime slaapkamer zitten! Bed is prima, fijne badkamer en ook de keuken is compleet. Georgina en Alex zijn enorm aardig en gastvrij, als het je aan iets ontbreekt dan zullen ze er alles aan doen om het te regelen voor je! Stayed here for a 2nd time in the last few months and it remains to be very beautiful, clean, everything works very well and is a very comfortable place to stay. I love how private and quiet it is there. I would certainly stay again.

OMG, I don’t have the adjectives to describe this trip! I booked it for myself, my husband and our dog & it was pure perfection. Lesley was helpful as anything, gave a list of local recommendations and the easiest check in/out instructions. It was clean, fresh bedding and location was PERFECT for where we needed (within a half hour drive of all the tourist spots we wanted to visit). Lesley let us bring our dog, left a card for us and a towel/bag of treats for the dog just in case he wanted a swim in the canal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Tage in Rosies Haus: Ein wunderschönes altes Schulgebäude , welches mit viel Liebe und Geschmack modern umgebaut worden ist in herrlicher Umgebung. Es war alles perfekt! Ganz lieben Dank für die tollen Leckereien. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

This is a beautifully appointed flat that is convenient to the Summertown Shops around the corner. The bus service into Oxford City Centre is frequent and an easy trip. This is also a good place to catch the bus to Blenheim Palace. This charming flat is on a quiet street and Francesca is a terrific host.

Great host. Perfect place for an overnight stay when working in the area. This was my second stay, it is that good!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment in Henley-on-Thames, close to high street and river. Elliot was an exceptional host, he went above and beyond and provided pantry basics such as milk, fruit and butter which I thought was amazing as I forgot butter. The apartment was absolutely perfect our mini getaway in Henley. Would love to stay again.

Mark and Lesley were wonderful hosts -- very responsive and helpful without being overbearing. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and light-filled (when the English weather cooperates.) It feels bigger in person than the pictures might suggest and has everything you need, including a combination washer/dryer. I stayed for around a month and found it to be a comfortable and peaceful spot. The walk along the river from the nearby New Hinksey park was a highlight. For me it took about 20 minutes to get to Christ Church (closer to 30 to get to the Weston Library), but I am a slow walker. It is a nice walk and there are convenient buses if needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Cute, quiet space out in nature. All was as advertised and a nice spot to spend the night. Particularly liked that it was over the garage, so we didn’t have to worry about our toddler crying or making noise throughout the night. Bathroom is down a fairly steep set of stairs - so if mobility is an issue that might be a challenge.

My second stay at the flat, so already knew how to find the flat, access etc. Great location for working near Banbury. Brilliant kitchen, lovely lounge area and separate bedroom. Lovely stay again, have already booked to stay again :)

Luigi was extremely friendly and personally came to check in and check out which was very helpful. The place is extremely clean and tidy and has everything you would need. It is a quick very scenic walk to the center of town. There is also an available free parking spot, which is great because parking is very tough in town! It was a wonderful trip! Thank you Luigi for a terrific, care free holiday!!!

Judith's apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and had everything we could possible have needed. Judirh responded to any messages quickly, the bed was really comfortable and muesli was provided for breakfast. It is in an attractive, quiet street with plenty of regular buses into the centre of town or walkable streets to good coffee shops and bars. We were grateful for being able to park our car right out the front. Our time here was a delight and we would certainly return in the future. Fran and Mark Australia

Katie is a great host. I booked really late notice but she was able to accommodate me and even opened all of the windows to let some cool air in. The space was larger than it looks on the photos, the bed is comfy and the Jacuzzi bath was very relaxing. I’d definitely stay here again.

We use Airbnb a lot. So as a general comparison I’d say great Airbnb. LOTS of communication. Very well stocked. Comfortable bed. Great decor. Central with parking. Handy for when I visit elderly relative. Likely to use it again. Quick to reply when I thought id left something behind.

This place truly made me feel right at home. absolutely incredible place and it is extremely clean. The flat was nestled in a peaceful yet convenient location right. The hospitality is incredible. free chips and wine what more can one ask for.

Been trying to book this stay for a while now and I can now fully understand why this was always booked up! Me and partner wanted a couple of nights away from the hustle and bustle of work and this place was so Peaceful and quiet for the weekend. On arrival Jane was very welcoming and a very pleasant lady to talk to. Jane went through all the instructions and provided a folder with all the local amenities which was great touch. The suite itself was perfect for what we needed, a kitchen, bathroom and sofa to watch tv, the tv was a smart TV which was brilliant as you can connect to your Netflix. Also we was provided with coffee, tea, milk, electric blanket, washing machine with softener and washing detergent-all this I regard going the extra mile! The kitchen is also kitted out with cooking utensils. I would recommend this to anybody that’s wants a chilled, peaceful break. Definitly will be booking this again! Thank you Jane!

We spent a couple of nights at Karen’s studio, the stay was just perfect for what we needed; off road parking, comfy bed, handy kitchenette, clean bathroom and lots of amenities within the studio. Great communication with Karen and easy check in/out. We would stay again, thanks for having us. Xx

I had a wonderful stay here. It was in a wonderful location right near the palace. About a 20 minute drive to the centre of Oxford. The air bnb its self was lovely, I cooked for myself and there was plenty of appliances to do so. The bed was really comfy, and it was very clean overall. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
