Holiday rentals with a kayak in Outer Banks

We really loved our stay at El Sol! The place is a super short walk from the beach and is located in a safe, private area. The layout of the house was cozy and had a nice beach theme. Super affordable and super easy to communicate with Sarah! Would definitely stay again!!

Dana and her co Host was amazing we had the best few days of vacation possible in the outer banks 100% recommend Dana’s place we will for sure be back next year and anytime we go to obx !

The Bruce’s Retreat was the perfect location and the absolute best sunsets in the OBX! There were kayaks available, a cooler and beach chairs that made us feel right at home. The home was comfortable and close to all the restaurants and shopping. You can fish right off of their dock, but if you want to get into the bigger fish, it’s just a short drive away. It worked out perfect for me, as the fish I caught at the home dock, I used to catch my biggest Red Drum (34”) on the surf! Karin was a great host, and was a quick responder when we reached out. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when we visit.

Kimberly was very responsive and very helpful. Home was very spacious and kitchen was well equipped. Beach was a short walk away. loved that the fire permits were provided. note to future guests: you'll need to bring or get things like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and anything you may want to use to clean up after yourself in the kitchen. the space comes with "starter" set. you will also be putting the sheets on your bed. not bad, but just be aware.

We absolutely loved A Splash of Lime! The house was great for us and our 2 dogs! The kitchen had everything we could have asked for. The pool and hot tub were also a huge plus. Easy walk to the beach and you may even pass a few wild horses on the way! Thank you, Martin, for an excellent vacation home!

Tami’s place is just awesome! The tree lined driveway to privacy was so nice. Plenty of space for the 4 adults and 1 child. Views are absolutely stunning! Sunset is just awesome. Had so many things to do with games, bikes, beach chairs, cornhole, kayaks, toys for the kids and plenty more. Outdoor space was amazing as well with a private little entrance to the bay. Just an amazing overall experience and we are already looking at dates for our next trip!

This place is a GEM! I highly recommend staying there. So close to the beach. Lots of fun stuff to do in Duck. The house is very, very nice with lots of space to hang out.

We loved staying in James’s home! It was perfect for our needs. Our children loved the marsh behind the house. We saw deer, egret, turtles, fish and many other birds every morning. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. We immediately felt at home. James’s home has a wonderful porch, as well as a building for storing any outdoor gear. It is well equipped with an outdoor shower, which is perfect after a day at the beach. James welcomed us into his home by gifting our family a dozen eggs from his laying hens. Our trip was perfect, and we cannot wait to return.

I had the pleasure of staying at Amy's place for a long weekend. Both her home and her spirit of customer service were exceptional. Shortly after making the reservation I had an issue with it (my fault). I reached out to Amy and she quickly helped me work it out in everyone's favor. Thank you Amy! Her home is very well situated, and the view from her backyard is incredible; it could be a special events location. Just incredible. But we were also able to get out and check out the many restaurants and beaches in the area. Amy reached out to us to check in several times, and proactively contacted us with restaurant recommendations, one of which we went to and had a great time. Would definitely head back.

Amazing time at Joseph's place. We loved that it kept with the originality of the first homes built in the area (A-frames) and paid homage to the history with the pirate theme! Very well decorated, super comfortable furniture, and all the amenities needed! Everything looked quite new. We loved the extra downstairs fridge for bait or anything else that might be needed to be stored. The kayak was a blast! The neighbors were wonderful and so very friendly. Loved their personal recommendations for local spots or things to add to the bucket list. The pool was a great addition as well and got plenty of use after a morning of battling waves at the beach! We also loved the folder with extra info, places to stop, and any emergency number needed. We loved the Friday check-ins, and being able to bring our dog was a huge plus. The house exceeded all expectations and the view was positively beautiful! The treasure hunt was a fantastic extra touch!! Would definitely stay again!!

Our family had the best time at Easy Breezy. Alex had thought of everything when it comes to a vacation home and I can't even put into words how peaceful it was. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished , napped, sun bathed on the dock and enjoyed the hot tub which was an amazing perk. We caught 6 crabs and some ocean perch. This place had everything you could want and we didn't want to leave. It was by far the best rental we have ever stayed at. Our dogs even had a blast!

Another fantastic Spring Break at the Best Box! The nicest, cleanest, most relaxing rental we’ve ever found. Didn’t think the property could be any better than it was last year, but the owners have managed to make many creative and thoughtful upgrades. Enjoyed days at the beach, days on the sound, chartered a boat for fishing, ate tons of seafood, and saw the best sunsets right from the deck. Literally took advantage of everything in this house - from crabbing to fishing to baggo to flying kites to playing board games to darts and foosball. Oh and kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, and tubing, too.

The house was perfect for our needs and our dog felt right at home. The beach wasn’t very far away and the location of the home felt like it was in the middle of everything. Randy was a great host and only a message away.

We had a very pleasant stay at Amy’s home nestled in a very quiet and serene sound side neighborhood. We found Just Enough to be more than enough for 2 and a dog! Loved the screened porch and spent almost every evening out there just relaxing and watching the storms on rain days. We were a very short drive to some really great restaurants- loved the sandwiches from Pamlico Deli and steamed shrimp from Tavern 12! Great nearby coffee shops, gift shops, and bakeries (get an Apple Ugly from Orange Blossom!). The jeep rental spot is one road over so that was convenient for our beach off-roading day. For one first time visitor (2 if you count the dog), and one returning to OBX after many years, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay down in Frisco at Just Enough. Highly recommend this rental and we would absolutely return on a future visit to the Outer Banks. Thank you for everything!

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

Tanya's place was in a beautiful, quiet setting. We really enjoyed viewing the wildlife and kayaking. The house itself is spotless, comfy and plenty spacious. Her place had everything you could possibly need from pantry staples, beach towels, sunscreen, dental floss, etc. We were quite impressed with her thoughtfulness and attention to detail. By far the best Airbnb we've stayed at. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Loved this place ♥️

Longacres lived up to the online description. It is a wonderful rustic cabin in the woods. It was the perfect setting for our photography trip to Alligator River NWR but also just a short distance from the Outer Banks. The cabin was a very comfortable place to unwind and review our images after a day out touring the reserve. I particularly liked the porch bedroom - a great "outdoor" experience. Anne was great host and I hope to return sometime in the near future.

We loved this beautiful home! Beautifully decorated-calm vibe. So cozy and comfortable. I’m also an Airbnb host and I can tell you this space is wonderful! Well worth the price point! Don’t miss out on the fire pit. Something about a fire with your family by the water…it’s truly magical. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. Kathy is kind and accommodating. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. Can’t say enough. 10/10.

This is a very private location. Beautiful surroundings. Very remote.
