Beach house holiday rentals in Outer Banks

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

We had a wonderful stay… the OBX is now our favorite vacations spot! Sounds Groovy was Awesome with wonderful and responsive hosts.

This was our 2nd time staying, We absolutely love the private peacefulness atmosphere! Perfect getaway for a couple. As well as how clean and kept the property is! The bar is set high. The home made us really feel at home. Hopefully it will be available for future visits!

Wonderful views and easy access to the water. Good place with young children. (We had a toddler and a baby as part of our group.) The sitting area in the master suite was a great place to play board games and chat in the evenings without disturbing the little ones sleep. Great deck with sturdy chairs of the correct height to see the ocean over the railing. Lots of restaurants nearby and grocery stores and even a Target less than 2 miles away.

Excellent place to stat at OBX! Everything was as described. Excellent location close to plenty of things to do. Excellent hosts all around!

This place is a GEM! I highly recommend staying there. So close to the beach. Lots of fun stuff to do in Duck. The house is very, very nice with lots of space to hang out.

Stayed here for the second year in a row. Last time we tried to do the tourist things. This year our goal was spend time on the beach. If you want time on the beach you'll be hard pressed to find a closer spot. Walk out the door and you are on the beach. The house has plenty of space for our family of 5. Honestly can say we will come back again if the opportunity arises.

This was without exception, the best Airbnb experience we have had! Ryan’s home was not only neat and clean, but was well furnished and beautiful! Ryan was always responsive and helpful when needed. The listing was very accurate in what we needed to provide and what was provided for our use. We requested the linen service for sheets and towels, and an ample supply was provided for our stay. The location was second to none with easy access to the beach for fishing, swimming, and just hanging out! We are already planning our next visit!

Brittany was an excellent host who responded as soon as possible to any inquires or requests for accommodations. The house was perfect and absolutely stunning. With having a two year old with my family, there were toys there ready to play which made it even better! The view was spectacular and the hot tub was equally amazing. We had some car trouble during when packing our car during check out which made us late for check out time unfortunately and she was very friendly and understanding. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. No complaints at all! Definitely can’t wait to stay again (when the two year old isn’t teething and going through sleep regression lol). 10/10 highly recommend!

Amazing house, great location and everything that was promised. The house was easy to access and Josh was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. The outdoor area and pool were great for relaxing and enjoying the weather. Quick walk to the beach. Would love to stay here again next year. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was spotless and perfectly maintained. Everything was just as promised in the listing.

Just as listed, this place is a gem. Very close to all the things to do with private beach access. Home was very well equipped all the items you needed away from home. The dog park was super cute and a nice place for ours to play. The pool area was also great and the hot tub did not disappoint. Loved the fenced in areas. Very quite neighborhood saw a lot of deer wondering around. Short drive to beach (any of them really). Beds were very comfortable. Only thing I missed were tv's in the bedrooms would loved to have but otherwise it was top of the line stay (even though it rained 85% of the time we still enjoyed ourselves). Thanks Ted!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Brian is an excellent host. The home was very clean and neat. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I've had the pleasure of using at an Airbnb. The location is great. The beach is very nice and was not very busy. We hope to come back soon!

Joy's "Changing Tides" was exactly what my family needed for a little get away. The house was beautiful, the decor and furnishings were beachy and comfortable. Being able to walk right out on the beach was fantastic. All of our children loved playing in the ocean. Very convenient to Duck and restaurants, shopping, and of course ice cream. Joy was very responsive. We had a wonderful stay and would love to visit again!

This was hands down the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The home was spotlessly clean—truly immaculate from top to bottom—and it was immediately clear that the host had thoughtfully anticipated every possible need before we even realized we had them. We were wow’ed the moment we walked in. Every detail, from the kitchen which had all the essential appliances, cookware, and dishes we needed to prepare meals comfortably, to the cozy extras, made it feel like a high-end retreat. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had beautiful, upgraded features that gave it a luxurious feel. Location-wise, it couldn’t have been better—a short, easy walk to the beach and a heated pool that looks like you’re at a resort. We felt right at home and totally relaxed. If you’re looking for a stay that’s clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated down to the last detail, this is it. We’ll absolutely be back! And actually, I can’t wait to come back!

This location is exactly as advertised. A wonderful space to share with family. We had 4 adults and 5 kids - the pool and garage was perfect for entertaining after the beach or our round of golf at Seascape. This house is about a 9iron away from the second green. Screened in balcony over looking the golf course was an awesome start to each day. Very clean with everything you need for your stay. We only had 1 minor issue, with the garage refrigerators not on when we got there. The host called and helped us reset the electrical outlet and the fridges fired right up. 5 stars all around.

This place was perfect! The space was spotless, stylish, and exactly as pictured—maybe even better. Check-in was seamless, and the host went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, even leaving a few thoughtful extras that made a big difference. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with great restaurants and shops nearby. The bed was super comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing, hassle-free stay. We honestly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area!

This is a great place, in a great location. Easy access to restaurants, other shopping, and the Wright Brothers memorial. The place was perfect for our extended family.

We had a great mother/daughter stay at Pier-a-Vida! The place was so comfortable and cutely decorated; spotless upon arrival. Everything we’d need for a fun beach stay—beach towels, chairs, bikes, outdoor space for eating/hanging out; comfortable beds and a welcome starter set that was so thoughtful. We loved the closeness to beach (parking pass!) and that it was walkable to the bay—sunsets!! Would definitely come back! It’s a fun area, lots to do and the hosts (Teresa and John) were thoughtful and responsive.

We have stayed in lots of Airbnb’s and this is my favorite! The house was spotless. It is decorated beautifully… and comfortably. It looks like a better homes and gardens beach house. Clearly Carrie pays attention to details. The kitchen is very well stocked. She even provided a new sponge for dishes. The views are fantastic and the access to the beach was so much fun. Carrie has lots of games, a myriad of books, and toys for kids. The house felt homey and so comfortable. We had a wonderful family trip!

We love staying at Leslie’s place. It is an easy walk to the beach & perfect location close to all of our favorite spots. It is private & a comfortable stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Airbnb in the Outer Banks, NC, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated space that perfectly captured the coastal vibe. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel right at home, with soothing colors and unique accents that added to the overall ambiance. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. The property is just a short walk from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls and sunset views. We loved being able to easily access the sandy shores and enjoy the sound of the waves. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether it was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck or unwinding in the cozy living area after a day of exploring, every moment was delightful.

Loved the house. Very peaceful neighborhood and the hosts are very welcoming. If you have any questions, the hosts are very helpful. This is perfect for a family. It does have another bed in the living room and its very spacious. First time being on the outer banks and it was a good experience.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this cozy and modern beach house. The ocean view from the deck was beautiful. The place was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable for our group of four. Just a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants. The host was responsive and check-in was easy. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
