Guest house holiday rentals in Otsego County

Ed & Ann are gracious hosts. They were friendly and attentive to our needs. We were enchanted by the country charm of the historic guest house they have been restoring. The location is serene and bucolic with a laughing creek just outside the kitchen window. The kitchen is well stocked to cook meals, or drive to restaurants half an hour away. Our stay was a tranquil respite from our taxing responsibilities at home.

We stayed in Fly Creek just a short moment from our son staying in Cooperstown Dreams Park. Coming from South East Texas, the carriage house was a retreat house, nestled in the back of the property. Meghan was a wonderful host, greeting us upon arrival and being available when we had questions. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and completely stocked with all amenities needed to cook etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again if our youngest son travels for baseball next year!!

This is the second time we've stayed at Caitlin's place. This time we brought our 2 grandchildren, ages 5 and 7. The kids had a great time. They especially loved going out first thing in the morning to visit the horse. The house is a great base for visiting attractions in the Cooperstown area, and for cooking meals and eating in the few times we didn't eat out while visiting attractions. We definitely recommend Catlin's as a family-friendly place to stay.

The pictures don’t do it justice. In the pictures it looks dark but there is a lot of natural light. Michael was great, he made sure we had all the instructions and even called me directly to make sure my trip would go smoothly. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the place. It has always been my biggest fear. Thank you so much for providing water and coffee that was sweet. We were there for Cooperstown Dream Park and the drive was not far. It is beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for the hospitality.

This place was very rural and there was no road noise at all just the sounds of nature. It was just as described. As others have noted the fact the none of the walls go up to the ceiling means there’s very little privacy in the bedrooms or bathroom. As long as you are alone or a couple/or are comfortable with that, you are set. It wasn’t an issue for us!

This cozy and quiet retreat is exactly as described and pictured. It felt like a luxe private condo, with every amenity we needed. Huge TV and comfy couch for lounging after a day of adventuring. We were there for Dreams Park, which is about 11-13 minutes away. It rained a lot during our stay, so the washer and dryer were clutch. Cooperstown itself is only 5 minutes away. The Fly Creek Cider Mill is walking distance and a great place for delish treats. The general store on the corner was a daily breakfast for us—love this store. The Buzz restaurant also down the street was fantastic - great cocktails and menu. Henry, the host, is the nicest and most responsive host we’ve ever had. All in all a 10/10 experience. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Veronica is a phenomenal host. Extremely helpful, she way out of her way to help us with an issue with our rental car on a Sunday when she was out of town 🙏 Words cannot express how thankful we are for all she did for us. Veronica when go back to Bovina if your place is available I will definitely rent from you again. Many blessings…

What a great spot. Highly recommend if you need to come to this region. Beautiful, rustic, peaceful. Would be nice to have body wash/soap as well as complimentary toothpaste in bathroom (I forgot mine, UGH!!!), but otherwise space was comfortable & well appointed. Clean, cozy, and comfortable.

We stayed at Susans place the 2nd week of June 2025 and her place was just whay we were looking for. The place was very clean, had all the amenties you needed for cooking, such as pots, pans, spices, utensils, and even a coffee maker with filters. Their was an extra special touch added of a half dozen eggs from the farm down the street. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable. The views of the mountains and the horses were amazing! I cant say enough, it was such a wonderful stay.

Mercy was a great host! We got exactly what we expected from the description and pictures. The drive to CASV was quick and easy, which was our top priority for our week of baseball.

The location is very peaceful and serene and the hosts are very thoughtful. It was a wonderful stay, thank you so much for having us!

What a wonderful carriage house. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location is extremely convenient to everything including multiple restaurants and the Baseball HOF. Highly recommend.

The home is exactly as seen in the pictures, it was spotless, cozy, and welcoming. Everything we could have possibly needed was thoughtfully provided. Little touches—like treats and water—made us feel so special. Our host was absolutely wonderful—responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our stay comfortable. It felt less like a transaction and more like being welcomed by a friend. They gave us great recommendations for nearby cafes, hidden gems, and things we might have missed otherwise written in their binder. The binder also information on the history of the area and their journey which was a nice touch. This is a great writers retreat!

Unbelievable listing, you can’t go wrong with either unit. Fantastic view and excellent host. I highly recommend this peaceful piece of Heaven. The place has everything you need. Leave your shoes at the door and enjoy. We will be back! Thank you again.
