I absolutely loved everything about my stay at the Piki Cottage and can highly recommend it. It is so peaceful, private and relaxing, has everything you need, plus the hosts are so generous, friendly and quick responding. There are so many things to do in the surrounding area, or you can enjoy and explore this wonderful huge garden. I could have stayed forever. Thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay . Location felt really private and away from main roads . Location was great only two stops on the bus from the wharf . Having the car available was amazing , made travel around the island so easy .

This house is beautifully situated right on the water - at high tide the water reaches the wall. The house is beautifully decorated and feels very homey. With a log fire, a separate granny flat and 3 other good sized bedrooms, we loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve stayed at many Mangawhai properties and this is a new favourite. Perfect location between estuary and surf beach. Mama and baby slept in the main house and couple with fur child in the self-contained sleep out. Superking bed was a treat, although the mattress too soft for us. The fire place is cosy and the birdsong so tranquil. House is elevated and private but neighbours are still close. A group nearby partied at night but were quiet by 10pm. Leeanne was a responsive, friendly and helpful host. The house has a homely and welcoming vibe . We will stay again!

Absolutely beautiful house, we had a great stay at Fiona's place! It's a great location too, it was lovely being able to walk down to the beach. Everything is as listed and looks like the photos, would definitely recommend to other guests.

Michael, We would like to thank you for affording us the opportunity to stay at your place. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of life gave us the chance to switch off, relax and take in nature. The views are amazing and getting out on the kayaks paddling around the island and visiting the smaller secluded islands like Pembles island isn’t something you get to experience often. We would also like to acknowledge and thank you for making this booking so easy. Your communication has been outstanding, directions and instructions were clear and we could not have asked for a better host. We highly recommend Micheal and staying at the Tree house at Kawau Island.

What a spot! This house is beautiful - open, airy, light and spacious, and the mid-century-modern styling was right up our alley. We made the most of the sunny weather in the sprawling gardens, and the cold plunge and sauna were such a luxury - it definitely felt like we were staying at a private retreat while still being close to everything. Katie and Dan were super responsive and helpful with any questions we had too, and ensured we had an easy and comfortable stay. Looking forward to staying again next time we're in Auckland.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mangawhai Trap House! The home was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed baking marshmallows and pizza in the outdoor pizza grill. It was such a fun experience for the whole family. The kids already miss the place! Everything was smooth and easy, and we’d definitely love to come back. Thanks so much for having us!

What a great place perfect for us and even room for the next time when our 3rd daughter can stay too- beautiful waterfront excellent location with a Woolworths metro literally across the road and walking distance to viaduct restaurants- in fact we walked into town it was lovely . The carpark(s) was very handy and Kim messaged us with clear instructions and her communication was exceptional. She kindly allowed us early check in and late check out which is invaluable when you have a short stay like a long weekend. Would definitely consider coming back the next time we stay in Auckland.

Coincidentally, I lived in Sarah's property about 15 years ago, so booking a stay was a no-brainer. It's ideally located for Mt Eden Village, Eden Park stadium, and on all bus routes into and around the city. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished, with all the amenities you would expect. The bed was comfortable, and the smart TV has all the apps for watching local TV, or streaming all the usual services. Sarah was very accommodating, and responsive - probably the most responsive host I have had throughout the world. Would highly recommend Sarah's property.

Fantastic location with direct park access. The most wonderful deck with great views- a joy in summer. Please note: this place doesn’t have an oven or a freezer and the bathroom is tiny, but we managed to make this place our home for a month during renovations. It may not be the ritz but it certainly does have character and a super accommodating host (with the friendliest, loveliest dog- Ziggy is definitely a highlight)

Great location, quiet street 5 minutes stroll to Jervois Road

Jodie's place was the perfect find for us. From the minute we walked into it we loved every minute of staying there. Beautifully decorated with everything you need and in perfect working order. The bed is really comfortable and a great shower which was much appreciated after such a long flight. The position is very private with seating areas to the front and rear so you can catch the sun whatever time of day! Jodie is the perfect host - very quick to respond if you need her but otherwise respects your privacy. We needed help with our checkout time and Jodie was so kind and understanding. Jodie's place will always have a special place in our hearts as this was our first visit to Devonport. Thank you, Jodie.

An absolute pleasure! Our stay in this apartment in the heart of Auckland impressed us from start to finish and was wonderful. The chic and bright decor creates a welcoming atmosphere, and it's equipped with everything you could possibly need. Working remotely was a breeze with the comfortable setup, and the central location made attending meetings a breeze. The cherry on top? The heated rooftop pool, offering a serene escape with stunning views. Count me in for a return visit .

The house is situated on top of a hill with a breathtaking view. Our families of 10 adults and 4 children spent four nights at the lodge. The house is like maze. Plenty of space for everyone. It's clean, fresh linen and towels and reliable wifi. The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for large groups. The outdoor BBQ and pizza oven were a bonus. Plenty of things for the kids too i.e. trampoline, table tennis, throwing darts and toys. Great communication from the host Daniel. He sent clear and easy to follow instructions a few days before our arrival. We want to go back again and would definitely recommend this place.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

This house is absolutely stunning. It sits on a private beach with magnificent sea views and a big deck looking out over the ocean. It’s surrounded by native bush, loads of birds and a feeling of privacy & serenity. The ocean-facing doors and windows all open up so it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. There’s a lovely hot tub with a sea view too! Downstairs, there are the living spaces and upstairs, the bedrooms. The bedrooms are lovely - three large rooms with double (maybe queen or king??) beds, as well as two ‘kids rooms’ with twin beds and/or bunks. Two of the larger double rooms have private balconies & ensuites. It’s a beautiful & delightful house. Very well appointed. Perfect for a larger group, close to Matakana, Omaha and all of the lovely things to do there. We’ll be back! Thank you very much Rosie ❤️ The kitchen is large and well appointed, with a big gas stove & oven.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

Very good place. Beautiful place

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. It was clean, had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sofa's. The living spaces for our group of 9 women was perfect. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

We arrived in a storm and walking into a prewarmed house was amazing. Lots of space, sitting rooms and bedrooms as described. Open fire was lovely on our second night and sitting outside in the sun for breakfast was my favorite. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment, plates and was clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

I think it's safe to say that not only are there no complaints at all with both this place and the host, we were blown away by the quality of everything from start to finish by every measure. To anyone out there who want a place to live like a king or a stunning view to invite your guests over for a picnic, this is the place to be. The host here is an exemplar for what all ABNB hosts and landlords should aspire to be.
