Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Old Town, Dubrovnik

Mlini is such a beautiful beach paradise, we felt very lucky to have a quiet spot to unwind. It was very easy to uber from this location to the airport at 5:30 AM the next day as well. Grateful to our hosts and the town of Mlini!

Anetas apartment is located away from the historic old town (about 40 minutes on foot) and main arteries in the newer, northwestern part of the city on the 7th floor of a high-rise. If you are not good on foot, you have to take an (Uber) taxi, because there are no buses near the apartment and the entire city is built on the slope, so the way home can be extremely exhausting. Driving a car is absolutely not an option in this city, even if the apartment has its own parking space. There is a small supermarket right next door. The check-in was very warm and flexible in time and everything that you need to know about the city and the apartment was explained to us right away. The landlady was always available. The apartment itself corresponds to the description. It offers a magnificent view of the yacht and cruise ship harbor. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and we lacked nothing.

We had a wonderful stay in Mirna’s sea-front apartment. During our stay, we chose to cross the beach in order to get to the apartment. The walk wasn’t too strenuous for us and our two kids (aged 2 and 4 years). It's better to arrive for the first time during daylight hours (which we didn’t, but we got super lucky to run into Mirna who showed us the way). Our only request during the stay (a baby crib) was promptly fulfilled by Mirna. We'd like to thank our hosts!

Anita was an amazing host. From the beginning, she explained everything perfectly. How to get there, how to access the place, and all the details we needed for a smooth stay. The apartment was just like in the pictures, clean, very well located and a nice view. We would definitely stay again!

We arrived from Split by bus, and departed with a rental car. This location is perfect for us, as it next to the major road and across from city bus 3 which connected coach bus station, old town main entrance and the Apt. We walked to old town twice, to a port area hotel to pickup car, and all the paths are scenic and with many stairs. Saw so many short rental Apt along the way, and glad that we do not have to take our luggage up/down the stairs. The two bedrooms each has a private bathroom and AC unit, which is very rare in Croatia as we just checked in at our 4th Airbnb. We were welcomed with a homemade drink and then fresh fig on day2, and were invited to enjoy their home grown grape from the vine. Key info, to take bus 3 from coach bus station, just wait for bus inside. We were told to wait outside at street, which was the wrong direction, and we had a free tour of city and preview of bus ride from old town to Apt as it looped back to coach bus station. Highly recommended here.

The cutest little Airbnb that I have ever stayed in. Marta's place was nothing short of amazing with an awesome view of the old town from the front porch. We spent countless hours on the porch just relaxing and admiring the views of the old town and Adriatic. it's about a 10-12 min walk to the town which was super convenient and there were numerous grocery stores within the vicinity. The place was clean, tidy and comfortable. The kitchen was huge. There are some steps to go up and down to the town but that gave us a good cardio workout. Plus all homes in Dubrovnik are located on a hill so some walking is expected. Marta was very communicative and clear in her instructions. overall we loved our stay here and should we return to Dubrovnik in the future, we will be staying at Marta's place

Nice and unique place with lots of common areas and a pretty garden, the turtles are a nice touch. Straightforward walk into the old town about 30ish minutes or you can bus in. Convenient corner store nearby. Iris was super helpful and very responsive, he gave proactive info and options for any questions we had.

Stayed here for 11 nights in May 2025, highlight was the beautiful green patio area. Everything we needed for the stay was catered for. Great central location. Iris was at hand for any questions/information we needed. Everything was as described. Thank you Iris!! 😊

Absolutely outstanding stay! We recently had the most wonderful experience staying at Sanja’s apartment in Dubrovnik. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is perfect - just a short and easy walk to the Old Town, yet in a peaceful area that felt like a retreat from the bustle. We also found it really convenient for exploring other parts of Dubrovnik. One of the absolute highlights was the pool; it was such a lovely place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, with stunning surroundings and a calm, private atmosphere. Sanja was a truly exceptional host. She was incredibly helpful and responded to all our questions with lightning speed and genuine care. It was very nice and cozy in the apartment. The views of the sea and garden were a feast for the eyes. Marija was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very well equipped so we were also satisfied with small luggage. We had a very good, relaxed time.

We spend two weeks in Trsteno house and we had a great time The house is located in a beautiful botanical garden with a stunning sea view. We loved watching the sunset, swimming in the sea, playing cards and spending time together as a family. One of the reasons I chose the house was, because I wanted a quiet and safe location. One of my sons is Autistic we wanted to keep away from busy hotels and holiday resorts. This place has it all. The house is clean, the kitchen has everything you need to cook if you want to, great shower and stunning views. Majas parents live next door and they are very nice people. Anka, Majas mum brought us some home grown fruit and vegetables. Ivo, Majas dad took us to Lopud island on his boat. Maja is one of the most helpful aquick responding hosts. I felt like I had a private tourist guide on my phone. I could tell she loves her country and has a very good knowledge about where to go and what to do. We loved every minute of our holiday.

Good place with lots of beds and space. Location is 25 minutes from Old Town Dubrovnik by car, would recommend for someone with a rental car.

The place was a perfect find for our family of 4 (2 young children). The place is a few minutes drive from the airport and it was easy to get around on the east coast by car or using public bus lines. The host was really nice and helpful giving recommendations about places to visit and where to eat. We also got to taste good home made wines, liquor and grappa, and also home made sausages, which where really good and felt especially welcoming. The kids loved the place and there was colouring pencils and paper in the appartment so they could draw pictures. The kids also loved the friendly dog Cookie, which lives downstairs :) All in all, we had a great holiday in Croatia which was mainly due the awesome appartment, recommendations from the host regarding places to see and also easy access to the sightseeings and restaurants, airport etc., from the appartment. The stay was great, apartment as advertised. Simple, but compatible for a few days in the region. Great region, 30 min from Dubrovnik. They treated us very well, extremely available and with a smile on their face. Besides being pet friendly, they were super nice to our dog. I recommend it.

Listing as described. Perfect location close to small quiet beaches and at the same time close to Dubrovnik. Public transport nearby. Lazar is very friendly, he even helped us carry our luggage. I would recommend this nice little place!

Great place for the price. Location was excellent. Maris was very helpful, responsive and informative! As one review pointed out there is a LOT of uphill steps to get from the old city to the apartment, so enjoy the free workout every time you head back to the apartment 😉 Definitely not accessible for people with mobility issues, but to be honest that goes for Dubrovnik in general.

Nice and clean place in relative close proximity to Dubrovnik (ca 30 min per car). The apartment was like described, very nice and clean, parking is also right next to the place. Elena was quick in responding and very friendly!
