Welcome to your dream escape! Situated on a reserve, 100m from the shores of Lake Tarawera (and a boat ramp), this location makes for the perfect holiday. Great for family fun, or a romantic getaway. This is a fabulous home right on the lake front where you will have the whole downstairs area which is self contained. This Includes your own kitchen, bathroom, lounge, deck, and two bedrooms, mins away from the Blackbarn. Initial cost is for 2 people with an additional $80/person/night thereafter

The Penthouse Studio at Lake Tarawera

This spacious studio apartment is set in native bush at Lake Tarawera, at the back of a lake-front property. However, it does have great views of the lake. It has one main room which includes a kitchen area, a dining room table, a lounge and beds and there's a separate bathroom. It is accessed up a flight of stairs with a laundry for use downstairs. Wifi is available. There is an outdoor patio, with comfortable furniture, sun umbrella and magnificent views across the lake to the mountain.

Escape to your estuary hide away, located in the paradise of Pukehina. Sand, surf & sun, you will feel right at home with 2 bedrooms, estuary views and a two-minute walk to the beach. Nestled at the back of our property, is the hidden rustic gem, getting those perfect quiet sunset evenings, while the fireplace warms you up for the winter evenings. Your own deck area for BBQs along with grass area looking out to the water to relax. Please note this does not have a kitchen.

This stunning location really is the best spot in Opotiki. Massive views out to sea and picturesque sunsets. The cottage is located up a private driveway with plenty of off road parking. There’s even room for your boat. We welcome dogs, but there is a fee of $50 per pet. The property is fully fenced which is fantastic for the kids. There is a paddock for the horse by arrangement. There is an outdoor shower for after beach visit. Only 2min drive to beach and cycle trail.

Dairy and resthome a short walk away. Gateway to the Tarawera Forest and the Tarawera Falls - permit required. A short walk to the Tarawera River. Kawerau is easy driving distance to Lake Rotoma, Rotorua, Tauranga Whakatane and Opotiki for sightseeing or outdoor activities.

Home heating is provided by a beautiful freestanding fire fuelled by wood harvested from the property sustainably while hot water is from our solar system ( bathing in the sunshine )

Wake up to stunning ocean views including volcanic White Island, Whale Island, the Raurimus and down the coast to the Islands off Tauranga in the distance. Watch the boats going in and out of the bar entrance. Beautiful walking tracks ,cycleways and beaches close by. Only 900 meters to Whakatane township, Cafes and Restaurants. Such a central spot to explore the Bay of Plenty.
