Cottage holiday rentals in Ocracoke Island

The house is beautiful, and the location perfect. It's so nice to be that close to the beach and watch the ocean while having a coffee on the deck in the morning. The house had everything we needed. Jennifer was very responsive and friendly. We just wish we didn't have to worry about towels and linens, it would have made our life easier, but we knew we would have to take care of that from the listing.

Another fantastic Spring Break at the Best Box! The nicest, cleanest, most relaxing rental we’ve ever found. Didn’t think the property could be any better than it was last year, but the owners have managed to make many creative and thoughtful upgrades. Enjoyed days at the beach, days on the sound, chartered a boat for fishing, ate tons of seafood, and saw the best sunsets right from the deck. Literally took advantage of everything in this house - from crabbing to fishing to baggo to flying kites to playing board games to darts and foosball. Oh and kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, and tubing, too.

this is our fourth stay at Pelican Point and we absolutely love being here. It's a unique property with character, natural beauty, outstanding sunsets and easy access to the ocean. Every night we went out for silent sunset viewings from the bungalow porch or the dock and enjoyed the evening bird life flying overhead, the calls, and the beautiful clouds and colors as the sun sunk into the Pamlico Sound . The spacious kitchen had everything we needed and we had many wonderful meals. Beds are comfy, and loved being able to spread out between two residences. The pool and hottub were great options since it was a bit cold for swimming in early May. Communication with Dawn was quick and seamless if you had a questions for her! A plus vacation rental all around!

Great location and overall great experience for our family. A lot is provided to make it easier for travel including kitchen items, beach items and even if the weather is not ideal the house is very comfortable to spend time. Would recommend

Dare Dream was just as pictured on the photos. The kitchen was amazing and incredibly well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us and just what we were looking for.

We had such a wonderful time! The cottage was so peaceful, absolutely beautiful and completely redone! Extremely clean and fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It felt just like home right when we walked in the door. There was plenty of room for our family of three. Our 2yr old LOVED the huge yard and dock. The views of the sound from every window are AMAZING!!! The pictures just doesn’t do it justice! The sunrises were breathtaking and the night sky was just as pretty. Ms. Patricia was always so kind and quick to respond. We truly appreciated that! Thank you for allowing us to stay!

very convenient location! perfect size for my husband and I. we loved the board games provided, we ended each day with a different game. we had a wonderful time. we will definitely be back!

The name speaks true! It really is a beautiful hidden gem in Avon. From its ideal location to everything, to all the amenities the host provide. This location has been the best I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It made my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and our friends loved it! David & Misty are truly wonderful hosts. Thank you again! 😊

We had a very pleasant stay at Amy’s home nestled in a very quiet and serene sound side neighborhood. We found Just Enough to be more than enough for 2 and a dog! Loved the screened porch and spent almost every evening out there just relaxing and watching the storms on rain days. We were a very short drive to some really great restaurants- loved the sandwiches from Pamlico Deli and steamed shrimp from Tavern 12! Great nearby coffee shops, gift shops, and bakeries (get an Apple Ugly from Orange Blossom!). The jeep rental spot is one road over so that was convenient for our beach off-roading day. For one first time visitor (2 if you count the dog), and one returning to OBX after many years, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay down in Frisco at Just Enough. Highly recommend this rental and we would absolutely return on a future visit to the Outer Banks. Thank you for everything!

Our first time in the Outer Banks, and we are already planning a return trip in the fall. Nicely furnished, met our needs 100%. Immaculate, comfortable. Only complaint is the bed in primary bedroom is right above where the pillows are, and cold air blew directly on the person sleeping on the left side of the bed.

My husband and I have stayed at multiple Airbnb’s in our time together. This was easily our favorite one so far! Everything from Taylor’s instantaneous communication, to local food, to our favorite - the two minute walk to the beach, was absolutely perfect. If Airbnb would let me I’d rate Taylor & location a 10/10 as 5/5 doesn’t do it enough justice. We are avid animal lovers and our two rescue pups are our entire life. One of the best parts of why this was our most favorite Airbnb was how dog friendly Taylor and the local area was. One of the biggest reasons I booked this and will forever be blessed that I did. Was the ability to bring our pups to do some of their most favorite activities - go to the beach, swim, and run around in the water. Having the beach right there was an absolute dream. Our pups and us all had the times of our lives. Taylor thinks of literally everything, there is almost nothing you’ll need, and if you do, Taylor makes it happen! You’ll never regret booking🩷🐕?

Crabby Pad was beautiful. We kept the windows open and enjoyed the breeze. We fished off the dock at night, caught a blue crab. Little tricky to find but once you do it's a beautiful little place. Will definitely visit again!

Great place, perfect distance from the beach. Simple 2 minute walk. The shipwreck is a great landmark while on the beach to know where your access point was. House is clean and well equipped!

Amy's home was a great place for our family of 5 adults to gather for Christmas. Each of our adult children had their own room plus there are two gathering places for TV watching and activities. Spacious dining area. Very well equipped kitchen!! Whatever you want to make, Amy has a pan for that!! Easy walking distance to beach and lighthouse. Her beautiful Christmas decorations were a nice touch for the season. We would rent this place again if our travels take us back to OBX.

Great location for a slow, beach getaway with my family. We especially enjoyed the lovely, breezy porch and the beautiful, wooded location. Walking to the beach and to the ferry was easy. We appreciated all the extra amenities: beach chairs, puzzles and kitchen equipment. We would probably pack more water for drinking next time, but the little store had everything we needed. The drive onto the island, while truly stunning in many places, reminded us that our country is deeply divided and it will be a relief when the election is over.

Morgan's house is tastefully furnished and full of light. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and everything very clean. The beach is very close and was absolutely glorious because we went out of season and although it was sunny and warm there were few people about - only a few locals fishing. The children appreciated all the equipment for building sandcastles. We found some good restaurants open.

This place is so gorgeous! It’s spacious, bright, beautifully decorated with cozy beachy home vibe. You can spend time on the deck, in the screened porch, the cozy living room or the dinning area with beautiful view. Plenty of lounge furnitures to sit down and relax, plenty of towels, plenty of cooking/dining supplies. It is so well stocked in every way. I also LOVE the location, walkable to the beach, and since there is no light pollution here in the night, the Staring sky is breathtaking. If weather allows, I would strongly recommend to see the sunrise and stars. There is not much night life in this area, but we didn’t mind driving 30 mins to nags head area on the nights we want to hangout late. All in all, we enjoyed our stay a lot, I would stay here again if I come back to this area.

The Blue Mere was a wonderful place to hang for the weekend with family. Well-appointed and comfortable. Plenty of space for the 6 adults and 3 children in our crew. The walk to the ocean was easy although the dune crossing is exercise if you're bringing a lot of weight in your wagon or cooler. Meredith is a wonderful host. She is responsive and easy to communicate with. All in all, a 5-star experience. We would come again.
