Awesome place! High in the mountains : beautiful view : coffee farm: I highly recommend this wonderful place

The house was completely clean, organized and with a reception of flowers and delicious pineapple. The house is very comfortable, and cozy. Having a juicer for green juice was amazing, as well as a great blender. We highly recommend it!!

Overall, I was very satisfied. First, Joseph welcomed us very kindly and explained things to us kindly. Second, the living room and kitchen were clean. Third, the bedroom and bathroom were also clean and well organized. A place I look forward to visiting again next year.

Fantastic stay - best place to stay on the Big Island! What an amazing location, with a fantastic view! Private and relaxing, looking out onto coffee trees and the ocean. The place is everything that's promised and more. Great kitchen for cooking dinner if you don't feel like going out, an amazing outdoor shower, a GIANT TV for the times you want to just relax, and outdoor space that's private and tranquil. Everyone I communicated with was immediately responsive, and had suggestions for places to go (especially coffee farms), and responded very quickly. I can't recommend this place enough - we may be coming back again and staying here if it's available again! PS - the frogs: some people may love them, some may not like the noise. I didn't mind them at all at night, and had a white noise app in case they were very vocal (especially after the rain). Never did see one. Oh! And considering it's in the upcountry, no bugs/minimal wildlife, nothing to stress you out!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and well-maintained home. The ocean view from the balcony was stunning, and the house was tidy and comfortable. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly, making the experience smooth from start to finish. It’s a great base for exploring the island—just keep in mind that having a car is essential. Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

This is a beautiful and immaculate home. Very spacious and accommodated our whole family for my son’s 30 birthday, I would come again!

we spent a week in Matthew's place and would be happy to come back on a future trip. The house is large and full of good stuff - games, kitchen stuff, and more. The immediate surroundings are beautiful as is the view from the porch. Matthew is extremelya helpful and thoughtful. He really cared that we will enjoy our stay. Indeed a five star host. Ocean view is about 90 mins from Kona airport. I suggest not arriving at dark the first time - the area is dark and following the maps app we entered one driveway too early - backing up at darkness was scary. Make sure to follow Matthew's instructions and not just the app. The driveway to the house is not fully paved. However, after you see the way once at daylight it becomes easier. overall, we could use the place as a most comfortable place from which we could reach volcano national park several times and many beaches. it was good to be back to a cosy place at night. We would be happy to do this again!

It was an amazing facility, just looked exactly liked described. Todd was proactive in sending info required for check-in. Well maintained community and very good activities in vicinity. We did manta-ray night snorkel and lua’u at outrigger resort. Both were just a quick walk away.

This place has a perfect location and is very quiet. In the morning, there was lovely music from the birds. The unit we stayed in was very spacious and extremely clean. The automatic ice maker in the freezer was a nice bonus as well. I would definitely go back!

Super close to the beautiful magic sands beach and only 10 minutes away from manta ray snorkeling which was an amazing experience!!! Nice central spot for all the stops we had planned across the island. Howard was so friendly!

Really liked this place. easy walk on alii drive to restaurants and local spots. 2-3 local beaches nearby. pool and the black rocks behind it with the ocean view was beautiful at sunset. Exactly what was expected! Safe area. Loved the extra touches like the macadamia nut pancake mix :)

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Great condo. Quiet location and close drive to town, beaches and groceries. Eating breakfast on the lanai was a highlight! The Kahili is a favorite place to stay as it is a smaller sized complex. The pool and bbq area are well maintained and enjoyable. The complex manager is great as well.

This property is absolutely stunning! You have the place to yourself on private property. The sunrises are spectacular & the night skies through the full windows upstairs and just breathtaking! We could see shooting starts. The house is very comfortable & functional. We enjoyed some citrus on the property & the sheep. The swimming spot was absolutely perfect! The trail down was doable & the ropes definitely help. This is a private swimming hole to yourself, we really enjoyed it! I highly recommend & will definitely be booking again in the future! Ashley’s mom greeted us to & gave us a great introduction.

Very unique experience. You are actually right in a jungle. With that you have some animals, insects, and noise. We had a small mishap with the ceiling when we first arrived but the hosts quickly took care of it and upgraded our rooms. The jungle rooms are a bit louder at night with the frogs and smaller compared to the other sites in the facility. Overall cool place and great hosts

Great place to stay. I loved listening to the chorus of frogs at night (bring earbuds if you need silence to sleep!). If you're shy or considering this for a trip with friends, note that there are no actual lockable doors between the shower/bathroom and anyone else - just curtains and well-managed angles. I was a little surprised by the free-roaming cats (since the Airbnb is otherwise quite nature-friendly), but enjoyed spending time with the more friendly cat who would stop by my unit. This was a great home base for visiting HVNP.

Holly's place was exactly as described. The photos do not do it justice. Sitting on the patio at night in the hot tub or next to the beautiful firepit was extremely relaxing looking out to the tropical forest listening to the coquis exceeded all expectations. I also picked up several fantastic ideas for our upcoming home in the same area. Their home was beautiful and extremely well built and planned.

Manta Soul was a beautiful place to stay with lots of thoughtful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and eating breakfast in the garden outside the communal kitchen. The property is very close to lots of beaches and other fun things to do in the South Kona area.

I kept saying to our group how much I loved this place! It’s cute, charming, and included every amenity. Our stay was short (one night), but this place was perfect for its location to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.

We are so happy we discovered this hidden gem and will definitely be returning! It was the most incredible place we have stayed on the big islands: a perfect mixture between luxurious and natural! The pool front bungalows are pristine, comfortable and clean and are on an amazing pool deck which is like a huge tree house built in and around a vast forest of endemic Ohia trees! The pool deck features a pool, hot tub, rain showers, clean bathrooms, shared kitchen and a lounge area with many tranquil areas to relax and enjoy the forest. Drinking my morning tea in the hot tub, I saw several native birds flying among the Ohia trees! I highly recommend this place for people of all ages! My children loved it and enjoyed the freedom of not having to wear swim suits! Hosts were responsive and flexible and very accommodating!

We booked the entire property for our group and we had an amazing time! It was great to wake up to the chickens, cows and birds singing. Silvia and Olivia were fantastic with whatever we needed- which wasn’t much. Would stay here again for the same discounted rate.
