Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ocean Beach, San Diego

What a wonderful place to spend my daughter's college graduation! Just a 10-minute drive from the San Diego International Airport. The house is thoughtfully appointed, from the beautiful bedding and pillows to the elegant glassware and charming serving bowls. We were a party of six that stayed for 4 nights. Just steps from the shoreline and dozens of cafes and convenience stores, it was a pleasure to stay here. Our favorite part was the orange and lemon trees that surrounded the gas fire pit in the backyard. We had pizza on the front deck with a sunset view of the ocean. Very responsive owner/host and always ready to answer questions or requests. Stay here. You will not regret it.

We had a fantastic week in La Jolla! John’s place was charming, spotless, and perfect for our family. The home was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities—including beach gear—and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location is unbeatable: a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood within a few minutes walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, and more. John was a friendly and responsive host who made everything easy from start to finish. Honestly could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing, convenient stay in La Jolla. We’d love to come back!

Great location near the airport and Little Italy. Also very close to multiple dining places. We dined at Starlite on our last night there and it was fantastic and close to the house. Parking was amazing compared to others since there are lots of meters, and limited parking elsewhere. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place. We loved the sauna, hot tub and ice bath. The place was very comfortable and walking distance to many great restaurants. And, Max was very responsive and helpful.

This home is absolutely amazing. It is even better than the pictures make it seem and was perfect for our family of four (including two kids aged 6 and 8). The location worked perfectly for us in that the distance to the beach and restaurants was easily walkable but it was just far enough away to allow for a peaceful and quiet stay. Alejandra and Rodrigo were very good to deal with and responsive. We also met the daughter of the owners who wrote a lovely description of how this amazing house came to be in the guest book. Our only regret was not using the restaurant recommendations enough because we tried one of them on our last night there and it was amazing! I could not recommend this rental unit more highly.

Nancy's place was just perfect for a girls weekend in San Diego! There was more than enough space for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed spending time in both outdoor spaces (the hot tub in the courtyard and the rooftop deck). There were many thoughtful amenities like a blowdryer with multiple attachments, good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash, lots of hangers in the closets, white noise machines in each bedroom etc. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed being close to the ocean and the shops/restaurants on Santa Monica Blvd and it was very easy to take Ubers to other locations. Nancy was very responsive and a great host. Can't recommend enough!

Daniel’s home is nestled in a serene setting that makes you feel as if you are in a beautiful secluded oasis. The home is tastefully decorated in a modern aesthetic with beautiful mid century pieces. My family and I really enjoyed the pool and movie room. It was also impeccably clean and well stocked. Daniel was incredibly responsive and check-in was a breeze. I will definitely book Daniel’s home again. Absolutely magical stay.

We loved this Airbnb! The location was close to the beach and extremely walkable. Celeste was so helpful and accommodating providing a pack and play with sheets for us even though it wasn't in the listing. The outside patio spaces were a big hit for us! We had the perfect trip and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Location is the best about 150 yds from ocean and 100 yds to small supermarket and eating places. Cy is the most diligent host we have encountered. Lives on site and constantly making small, useful improvements

Jasmines place is a gem! In a very peaceful area, beautiful view to walk out to every morning. The outside deck was a huge plus, very cozy. She not only gave us good food recommendations but was very flexible with our check out time. Would recommend to anyone!

Loved staying here a second time! Make sure you drop people off/unload in front of the unit to avoid making others wait to park and don’t get a giant car - the garages are a tight fit like everywhere else in mission beach.

Pretty much perfect. Location is just stupid perfect. Walk right over to the Del Coronado, right to the beach, right to coffee. The place is perfect for a couples romantic stay. I plan on going back each year. I would suggest using their parking at the B of A right next door. Totally worth it. I really have zero bad things to say. Value A+. Easy A+ Clean A+. Safety A+++++. Lobster rolls across the street A+. Buzzed coffee around the corner A++++. I’ll be back.

Richard’s place was perfect for my solo weekend in San Diego! Walking distance to the beach and loads of restaurants and coffee shops. The bikes were perfect to take to the boardwalk and do an easy morning ride. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed. Easy to communicate with and would def stay again.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in San Diego, many of the locations are within walking distance or a few minutes by car. Vivian is a very good host, she was always attentive and responded quickly. The only issue we had was that we hardly had any hot water.

Such a beautiful place! if you like peaceful, quiet, cozy, but also close to a small town with cute shops.... Amazing place! we saw sooo many turkeys.

This is one of those true gems you’re absolutely stoked to stumble upon. The minute we drove down the country lane and saw the house, my wife and I knew we had found a truly magical getaway. We both agree it’s one of the top three homes/properties we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing! Every square inch of the property is amazing. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is stocked and perfect for those who enjoy cooking. We cooked three of the four nights because we just loved the atmosphere and views so much! Our four year old absolutely loved exploring the trails, pond and backyard. The hot tub was in perfect condition. Rare! The awesome fire-pit on the balcony was perfect for making smores and staying warm while listening to the frogs sing while stargazing. We played games, watched movies and just had a perfect long weekend. The worst part was having to say goodbye! It was so peaceful, it’s going to be hard to beat such a good nights rest. Another week would have been nice!

Amazing place to stay with our family. So much to do on the ranch that we didn’t even have to leave to find something to do. It felt like a home away from home and being surrounded by animals was an animal lovers dream. My teenage nephews who are always on their phones even loved it here. Nick the dog was the sweetest and walked us and our guests to the front door and showed us around the ranch. Chancelor was an amazing host and provided us with so many recommendations and offered a tour of the ranch. We definitely have to come back to take him up on his offer so we can learn more. My family and I are thinking of making this an annual trip!

The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

This place is amazing. I slept so well since the location is quiet and secluded. Colleen is quick to respond and super kind. The design of the cabin itself is pretty as well. I would 100% stay here again.

I absolutely fell in love with the historical charm of this cabin! It’s such a delightful spot, filled with an amazing atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway. One minor hiccup during our trip from Arizona back to San Diego was the lack of cell signal, which made checking in a bit challenging. However, that small inconvenience couldn’t dampen our spirits! The vintage bathtub added such a lovely touch to our stay, and I appreciated the old-fashioned heating system that kept us cozy when the night air turned chilly. The porch was a gem as well! Nestled in nature and featuring comfy seating, it was the ideal spot to unwind. While the area doesn’t allow for outdoor lights, having a flashlight handy is a great idea if you’re arriving after sunset. The location is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and we enjoyed the fascinating history shared. Overall, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to experience this. Another bonus is that Julian is just down the street!

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.
