Fire pit with outdoor seating and grill provides a nice spot to unwind.

Babe Cave | Midtown Wilmington w/ playground

Welcome to the Babe Cave! You’ve found the perfect place to stay in Wilmington! Just a short drive to the beaches or Historic Downtown. UNCW is just 2 miles away. Long Leaf Park is very close (we enjoy riding our bikes here and stopping at Brewers Kettle.) Babe Cave offers dedicated parking beside the cottage (as many as 5 vehicles.) The drive way is large so it is easy to come and go. You can enjoy board games, TV, fire pit, covered patio with outdoor kitchen and a back private deck to relax.

Home Away From Home

Our home is a block away from all the action in town however we're secluded, private and right across from the lake. We're within walking distance of anything you need. It’s a 5-8 minute walk to the beach depending on what your carrying ie. kids, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. and we do offer a beach cart to help with this process. Walking or jogging around the lake is great exercise. One lap around is 2/3 mile. Kayaks and paddle boats are available to rent at the lake.

Discover your private backyard pool oasis on the coast. Our home is 1.5 miles from Sunset Beach and is .75 miles to the town park where you can take in the summer concerts and amazing sunsets. Sunset Beach has access to golfing, shopping, entertainment, and numerous restaurants. Perfect for families, couples, or friends seeking an unforgettable escape and creating memories that last a lifetime. *The pool is not heated and is open from mid May-Oct. From Nov-April fees are $100.00.
