We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

We were a group of friends that enjoyed our stay a lot! the cabin is quite close to the lake, nice outside yard for hangout and games, surrounded by nature, the kitchen was fully equiped!

I cannot emphasize enough how relaxing and splendid our experience was! We had an amazing time staying there for our honeymoon! The host and her husband were very kind, friendly, and hospitable. Even though we came during Christmas, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! They even set us up a Christmas tree in the cabin and provided home-made snacks. There was plenty of fire wood, so we stayed nice and warm. The beds were so soft! The back four beds could easily fit two people each, for those who are wondering. If you stay with them, I highly recommend renting the sauna paired with swimming in the fresh water lake! The eggs from the chickens are delicious! The sheep are friendly. It was the coziest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We are so grateful to have been able to visit! It really made our honeymoon special. We hope to one day come back during the summer to see how the area differs, but we suspect it is spectacular at any point in the year.

We had a great week with our two children in this beautiful house directly overlooking the fjord. It was very quiet and relaxing. The area is great and you can also start hiking directly from the house… we especially enjoyed the great pool!

We were only briefly in the accommodation but the time was very relaxing. You have a wonderful view of the fjord. The location is very quiet and was perfect for us. 😊

The house is even more beautiful and larger than you could see in the pictures. We did not use the boathouse, but it offers a good opportunity to spend time on the water in any weather. The hosts are very nice, we were greeted directly and shown the accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a special house: you travel back in time, partly because of the original elements, but also because Karl has modernized the house with a lot of love and respect for that original style. It is quite spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and it has a nice shower. Furthermore, it has a small place with a BBQ behind the house to sit when the weather is nice, so you almost forget that the garden around it is much larger. Also nice to walk around the area a bit further, there is a beautiful lake not far from the house. Karl is proactive in communicating about the stay, and very friendly. We felt very welcome there!

We spent very nice days in the house and can recommend it without restrictions. Our host Joakim was also always available and super accommodating. The sauna is a true gem. Also worth mentioning is the wallbox, which has always provided a fully charged car. We will be happy to come back again 😊

Perfect stay for us during our exploration of the fjords. Had plenty of comfy beds, modern renovated bathroom with a washer and dryer, and the added perk of heated floors downstairs. Was also nestled in the most lovely valley. Couldn’t ask for more!

What a beautiful home and location. We enjoyed being on the water. Balestrand is a cute town with everything you need including access to the fjiord and glacier museum. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great for making meals. We'd certainly stay again.

Fantastically cozy cottage just outside the center of Nesbyen. The house had all the facilities we needed. The house is very cozy right by Hallingdalselven. Short walk down to the river to take a bath. We'd love to come back ☺️
