Cottage holiday rentals in Norway

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

We were a group of friends that enjoyed our stay a lot! the cabin is quite close to the lake, nice outside yard for hangout and games, surrounded by nature, the kitchen was fully equiped!

I cannot emphasize enough how relaxing and splendid our experience was! We had an amazing time staying there for our honeymoon! The host and her husband were very kind, friendly, and hospitable. Even though we came during Christmas, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! They even set us up a Christmas tree in the cabin and provided home-made snacks. There was plenty of fire wood, so we stayed nice and warm. The beds were so soft! The back four beds could easily fit two people each, for those who are wondering. If you stay with them, I highly recommend renting the sauna paired with swimming in the fresh water lake! The eggs from the chickens are delicious! The sheep are friendly. It was the coziest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We are so grateful to have been able to visit! It really made our honeymoon special. We hope to one day come back during the summer to see how the area differs, but we suspect it is spectacular at any point in the year.

Super peaceful location - and open space.

Wir hatten mit unseren beiden Kindern eine tolle Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus mit direktem Blick auf den Fjord. Es war sehr ruhig und erholsam. Die Gegend ist großartig und man kann auch direkt vom Haus aus loswandern… besonders haben wir den super Pool genossen!

What a wonderful house in a perfect peaceful location great for exploring Andøya.

Wir waren nur kurz in der Unterkunft aber die Zeit war sehr erholsam. Man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Fjord. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und war für uns perfekt. 😊

Das Haus ist noch schöner und größer, als man es auf den Bildern sehen konnte. Das Boothaus am haben wir zwar nicht genutzt, bietet jedoch bei jeglichem Wetter eine gute Möglichkeit Zeit am Wasser zu verbringen. Die Hosts sind sehr nett, wir wurden direkt begrüßt und uns wurde die Unterkunft gezeigt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Wat een bijzonder sfeervol huis: je reist terug in de tijd, deels door de originele elementen, maar ook omdat Karl het huis met veel liefde en respect voor die originele stijl heeft gemoderniseerd. Het is best ruim, de keuken is goed uitgerust en het heeft een fijne douche. Verder heeft het een klein plaatsje met een BBQ achter het huis om te zitten als het mooi weer is, waardoor je bijna vergeet dat de tuin eromheen nog veel groter is. Leuk ook om wat verder in de omgeving rond te lopen, er is een mooi meertje niet ver van het huis. Karl is proactief in de communicatie over het verblijf, en erg vriendelijk. We voelden ons er erg welkom!

Wir haben sehr schöne Tage in dem Haus verbracht und können es ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen. Auch unser Gastgeber Joakim war stets erreichbar und super zuvorkommend. Die Sauna ist ein wahres Juwel. Ebenfalls ist die Wallbox zu erwähnen, die immer für ein voll geladenes Auto gesorgt hat. Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder 😊

Perfect stay for us during our exploration of the fjords. Had plenty of comfy beds, modern renovated bathroom with a washer and dryer, and the added perk of heated floors downstairs. Was also nestled in the most lovely valley. Couldn’t ask for more!

Prachtig huisje om als basis te gebruiken als je de omgeving wilt ontdekken, ook een fijn terras met mooi uitzicht en lang zon.

Si vous avez l'occasion de passer vos vacances chez Trude et Bjorn, vous serez des voyageurs très chanceux! Ce sont des hôtes qui mettent tout en œuvre pour que votre séjour soit agréable, ils sont disponibles pour tous les conseils et recommandations que vous sollicitez, prenant plaisir à échanger avec vous avec humour et gentillesse; c'est une très belle rencontre. L'appartement est incroyable, il a tout ce dont vous pouvez avoir besoin, il est d'une propreté irréprochable, il est très joli, accueillant et il a une vue sur le fjord magnifique. Concernant sa localisation, Il y a une petit supermarché à 5 min à pieds qui permet un ravitaillement facile, et via la route de la côte qui est très belle, il y a possibilité de prendre des ferry à proximité (20 min) pour faciliter le passage sur l'autre coté du fjord. Ce sont un séjour et des hôtes que nous n'oublierons pas et nous ne pouvons que recommander chaleureusement leur location dans laquelle nous reviendrons assurément !

Veldig hyggelig å leie hus av Therese. God informasjon og problemfritt opphold. Therese strekker seg for at gjestene skal få et behagelig opphold. Anbefales på det sterkeste!

Das Haus ist schön gelegen und leicht zu erreichen. Innen wirklich schön eingerichetet mit allem was man braucht.

Wat een geweldige plek om tot rust te komen, bij te tanken en een goede basis om dagtrips van te maken. Drink het kraanwater! Wij voelden ons na het drinken ervan vitaal. Geen eland gezien bij het huis, wel een ligplek waar er één had gerust. Verder een paar sneeuwhoenders en een zeearend gezien en nog veel meer vogels. Het huis zelf is comfortabel, alles wat je nodig hebt is er.

What a beautiful home and location. We enjoyed being on the water. Balestrand is a cute town with everything you need including access to the fjiord and glacier museum. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great for making meals. We'd certainly stay again.

Fantastisk koselig kårhus rett utenfor sentrum av Nesbyen. Huset hadde alt vi trengte av fasiliteter. Huset ligger veldig koselig til rett ved Hallingdalselven. Kort tur ned til elven for å ta seg et bad. Vi kommer mer enn gjerne igjen ☺️

Die Unterkunft von Kjersti und Tronn war ein TRAUM! Eine einzigartige Erfahrung in so einem alten Haus zu sein, welches mit so viel Liebe zum Detail neues Leben eingehaucht bekommen hat. Die Küche war wunderbar ausgestattet, die Badezimmer sogar mit Fußbodenheizung, die Schlafzimmer gemütlich… es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch die Kommunikation mit den beiden war 1A, die Antworten kamen rasch, es gab viele Empfehlungen für die Umgebung und auch eine kleine Kostprobe der wirklich fabelhaften Zimtschnecken von Kjersti. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen - es war eine herrliche und unvergessliche Woche im Haus.
