Kid-friendly holiday rentals in North Ostrobothnia

There were four of us in the apartment and we felt very comfortable. Ilkka personally welcomed us. The house is close to the road and is well accessible by car even in winter. The sauna is great, the beds comfortable and the sofa new. Spices and coffee were provided. Ilkka arranged us cheaply for cross-country skis and snowshoes and spelt a cross-country ski trail for us that started behind the house. We also saw the aurora lights 2x. Everything was super straightforward. I'd love to come back. Thank you.

Property as advertised. Professional communication. I would come again. Extra: +A sufficiently large yard for parking cars and trailers. +At least this time, the water area in front of the cottage was fishable with waders and a spinning rod.

Everything went well and the apartment was in a picturesque location, close to services. Marja responded to messages quickly and kindly and the apartment had all the promised amenities.

This place is the best to stay with your family amid the beauty of the natural, the owner is very friendly and helpful, I really recommend it

We had a lovely stay at this lovely cottage, and particularly appreciated Sara's responsiveness, the large shower area - sauna, the magical surroundings to walk in Finnish nature ❄️ Although we came without children, we found the plush giraffe adorable 💕 Very happy with this choice of accommodation 😊

We rented Helena's house for our family's use for the second time. The house is in a quiet location and it is easy to get around in the Oulu area. There you will find a full kitchen equipment for more demanding cooking and plenty of space inside and on the outdoor terrace. Communication with Helena is easy and fast. If you are traveling to Oulu, you will certainly not find a better place to stay.

We rented both apartments in this semi-detached house for Easter. Our daughter's family of 2 adults and three children in the bigger and Grandma and Pappa in the smaller. We were brilliantly satisfied and the surroundings were peaceful,not a long distance to shops and services about, 2km. Outdoor terrain right from the door,skiing, jogging,Frisbee trails, etc . We were at this place for the second time, and the accommodation was excellent again! The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures, and all the amenities are there. A particularly suitable destination from the point of view of a family with children - and Yläkemijoki is probably the most beautiful environment in the world.

We had a great time at Eija's place. It's as nice as the pictures suggest and a good starting place for exploring northern Finland. As a general tip, I'd recommend traveling by car, then you can easily reach several national parks and other sights in the area, as well as Rovaniemi. The area is calm, the frozen lake and snowy scenery make for a serene retreat. Eija was always quick to respond, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended!

The place was absolutely amazing! The accommodation exceeded all expectations and all communication went smoothly from the beginning of the reservation to the checkout. We will definitely come here again!

We stayed for 4 nights at Mikkos place and absolutely loved it! The location was great - 5 minutes by foot to the city centre (if that) but also really quiet. We really liked the apartment. It was really clean and had all the amenities we might need (washing machine and dishwasher, but also additional things like some seasonings, coffee and tea, body wash and shampoo...). It felt like Mikko thought of everything! One highlight was that Mikko borrowed us bikes which we used to explore the nature around and which made it really easy to explore the areas that would be a bit far by foot. Overall I would highly recommend it and would stay there again if we visit Kajaani again!

The apartment is cozy, very clean and corresponded to the description. The host gave clear instructions and always responded. The location of the apartment is excellent for walking.

Peaceful house, apartment at ground level, easy to move goods. The car was easily parked in the yard. Shops and eateries within walking distance. The apartment also has a sauna.

The apaerment is in walking distance to everywhere. It's good for small family or two adults. we enjoyd our stay in Niko's place.

Clean and new apartment. It was easy to find and free Parking nearby. Very clear instructions from Johannes. All the needed amenities for studio apartment. Small details like fan, phone charger and drying rack was good addition. For the price there can't be better accomodation.

Suitable size for two people, with sufficient equipment. A cozy rural landscape at a suitable distance from the services of the locality.

We had a lovely stay. Apartment was perfect for 3 persons, especially since there are two toilets and a cozy living room. It was great.

The accommodation is of course recommended in winter due to its location in the ski area, but also in summer for outdoor activities. Although it is small, everything necessary is available. Communication with Ilari was straightforward.

Messaging with Megan was friendly and smooth, we got answers to our questions and inquiries promptly, and overall, there was plenty of flexibility when we arrived and when we left. The apartment was already charming based on the photos, but it delighted us with its comfort and functionality in a very positive way. The details were well thought out, making it a really enjoyable place to stay, in addition to providing all the amenities you need for a weekend stay. We'd love to be Mervi's tenants again as long as we visit Oulu again and can warmly recommend the place to other travelers.
