Villa holiday rentals in North Island

This place is amazing and beautiful. The house is very well maintained and as it looks in the pictures. The pool was clean and big and nice, hot tub was also great. The house is very spacious and has a great speaker system. Check in was easy and you truly have the entire estate to yourself. My only negative feedback was on the golf course. I booked this place so I could play golf and the course is unplayable. Still had fun hitting balls around but it’s not been well maintained. Also, the bbq wasn’t clean enough to cook on. Everything else was great.

This is the second time we have stayed here, it is cozy and close to Petone town. Has all the necessities plus some!! Well stocked pantry and even a big bottle of milk. Super clean and comfortable beds.

As a group of 8 people we had a great time during summer here. The hosts were of great help when we had some “parking issues” with our trailer - they organized someone to pull us out of a ditch ;-) and that truly saved our vacation. That was amazing. Whatever was missing was quickly organized. Unfortunately an all-year fire ban on GBI meant we were not allowed to use the outdoor fire place, and since the nights get cold quickly we were looking forward to sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, which obviously did not happen. Also, the utility of the massive balcony is close to nil - it was either burning hot or freezing cold out there. In that regard, if you look at this place, consider that what you get is somewhat less than what you might expect from the pictures alone. Despite these drawbacks we would love to come back any time.

perfect for big families. Hosts are easy to deal with and very friendly! Surrounded by peace and nature, kitchen had all utensils and more, also had a BBQ 😍 rooms were big and spacious, very tidy, beautiful senery. We look forward to booking again.

We loved our stay at Tom and Taya’s beautiful house. Our kids didn’t want to leave. We hope to come back for another visit in the future.

The Perfect City Escape! This place is absolutely magical. Although it's conveniently close to the city, it feels like you're tucked away in a peaceful rural retreat. The view from the deck is incredible – surrounded by lush greenery and native bush, with curious Pukeko birds wandering around outside. The outdoor tub overlooking the trees is a highlight – soaking there while listening to the sounds of nature was pure bliss. Inside, the private sauna was an unexpected luxury and made the stay even more special. If you're looking for a place to truly unwind and escape the hustle of daily life, this is it. Quiet, serene, and beautifully set up for relaxation.

We absolutely loved this beautiful historic home and immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. The staff were extremely discreet but available if sought out. We were impressed with the access to chickens and consequent fresh eggs, and small vegetable garden. On arrival the home had every set of French doors thrown open. It was airy inviting and thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The Fitzroy Port area is a little remote from the busier Southern part of the Island but with a rental vehicle this was not a problem,. and there are a number of walks available within the area to not require a vehicle should one use not to hire one. Food is expensive on Great Barrier and it is recommended to stock up and take supplies in a chilli bin with you. There is a store on the Fitzroy wharf which is well stocked however, should you run out of your supplies. The property also has a jetty of its own and can be booked and used to moor your boat should you arrive by sea.

Beautiful surroundings house is immaculate the area was perfect, would I book this property out again most definitely 😍. Stunning sea view as soon as you wake up loved everything about it, my family and myself enjoyed our stay was also surrounded by beaches close to property and surrounding areas. Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

This place was amazing!!! We booked the whole place and had a family reunion with 15 adults, 2 kids and an infant and the villa was perfect! If anything she under sells how wonderful it is!

The most beautiful home. Space, style fully and equipped beyond many places I’ve stayed. Stunning, absolutely stunning location, you would never tire of the view. Hope to come again.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. It was clean, had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sofa's. The living spaces for our group of 9 women was perfect. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can't recommend it enough. We booked it for a night for a hens party and the look on guests faces when they arrived was priceless. Such a hidden gem in Katikati, and well worth the drive there if you are considering staying. The house was spectacular and so accommodating to a large group of people, with a lovely courtyard for outdoor activities. The little cottages were also a lovely surprise for guests and so well maintained. Laura's communication was also excellent. I would love to visit again one day. . . and stay for a week!

Our stay was incredible the surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful I would stay for weeks. The home was furnished like a home which is always nice for an Airbnb. One touch that would have been great would be having some body wash and shampoo and conditioner available for guests. Other than that everything was amazing. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Martinborough if you want to head into town and visit the wineries. But the home has everything you need that it makes you want to get back there as soon as you can. I would recommend taking food and drink and simply relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The place was warm and cosy, with lots to do and space to spread out. Sarah was lovely to deal with - clear communication and instructions.

Could not speak more highly of this place. It literally felt like home away from home in the sense that it didn’t have that typical air bnb feel; super homey vibe. Lynn was quick and efficient with communication which made check in super easy. The space is open and cosy, and literally had EVERYTHING you could need. The location is great as it’s close to everything but also not right in the busyness of it all. We had the best time during our time down the line and the accommodation played a huge part in it. We had an absolutely lovely stay at Greg & Jan’s place! We were there to celebrate our mom’s big birthday and it was a wonderful stay. Lovely house with a beautiful pool, kitchen and everything else ❤️ Greg & Jan were delightful hosts, always available to answer any questions we may have. Beautiful place to stay in Blenheim, visiting many wineries nearby. Highly recommend!

Once again, this has to be one of the best places to stay in Masterton. Close to all the amenities and the house itself is very roomy and has everything you could want for a comfortable stay - even a swimming pool and barbecue. Highly Recommend.

What an amazing and Beautiful home, so many things to do, from pool table, pinball machine , big movie projector where it was so relaxing with the kids to snuggle in front of fire place. Daisy is of the best Host I have come across, so responsive to all messages, also she is very accommodating to requests we asked of her. Definitely recommend Daisy beautiful home to anyone who is looking for a place with all ammenities, feel real homely inside & even outdoors with pool & spa , trampoline for children & swing, big lawn outside where kids or family groups can run freely. The property is beautifully presented, in a very quiet and picture perfect location. We had a wonderful time, and surprised ourselves with the good rest we all had. The living space and outdoor area are massive, and it is a very perfect location for a weekend away.

The place was clean and spacious. The outside pool was lovely for those who were willing to brave it at this time of year. The spa and sauna were nice and relaxing. Overall it was a great weekend away, thanks a lot!
