Creel Cottage is a cosy former fisherman's cottage on three levels. Full of character, it is nestled amidst wonderful sea views and rests at the foot of grass-covered cliffs with the sea just yards away in the world famous village of Pennan.
“Hearing the Mark Knopfler soundtrack in your head as you wind down the road to Pennan, you know you’re in for a wonderful experience and we were not disappointed. Despite the Pennan Inn [and most of the world] in shutdown, the natural beauty sucked us in as much as it did Mac. If you’re as familiar with the movie as I am, you won’t be able to get the smile off your face. You’ll amuse yourself imagining where scenes took place and of course need to pose near the red phone box which is, incidentally, opposite Creel Cottage where we stayed. What a delightful space. Well-equipped and housing the most comfortable couch in the world, we were loathe to leave. The incredible charm of the place with its muted palette and light-filled nooks were just a perfect way to while away quiet evenings. I’m sure everyone says they’ll be back but I feel I’m not quite done with Pennan. As we return home to lockdown I will be revisiting this glorious village in my mind and recalling the tranquility of Creel Cottage.”

“What a terrific place to stay We ha a family celebration over the weekend and Newton House had everything we needed for a great weekend. The rooms and countless bathrooms are spotless and the kitchen is really really well equipped. Plenty of wood to make the lounge cosy....or actually too hot, and comfortable furniture for all. It's out in the sticks so come prepared with your food and drink, but there's great views from the house and the hot tub!”
