House holiday rentals in New Paltz

This beautiful property has a special place in our hearts. We stayed in the A frame during COVID and we always wanted to come back. This time we stayed in the main house and it was phenomenal. Wish the weather was better for us to use the pool, but next time! It well worth the price. Only an hr from the city and it feels like a full vacation. Wonderful way to lose time time for a few days. We will be back!

It was a fantastic house with a beautiful view. Plenty of space and we really enjoyed our stay. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely come back.

The teahouse and surroundings were relaxing and peaceful. We saw groundhogs, deer, and chipmunks from the porch and our 2 dogs loved exploring the field and wandering in the nearby woods. The pool was amazing and warm despite the rain and the natural landscaping couldn’t have been more beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

This house absolutely reminded me of home and my childhood ! So lovely and clean. Absolutely love the heated pool ! This was the perfect house for our wedding at the Mohonk mountain house . Close and such a comfortable stay . We really enjoyed the outdoor porch sitting room . Thank you for a comfortable and wonderful stay .

This property is beautiful! The house and amenities are actually just as nice in real and every detail was so thought out. Arp really has good taste and communicated well throughout our stay.

We had a beautiful stay in Kerhonkson for a relaxing bachelorette weekend! Lillian’s place is absolutely beautiful and was so comfortable for my friends and I. Everything was as described, extremely clean, plenty of linens and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a few meals. We enjoyed sitting by the pool when it was sunny. Lillian was very communicative and flexible with check in time. Thank you!

We stayed at Agatha’s house for two nights. Her house was clean, well stocked, modern and very spacious…just as described. We had planned to visit the state park near the house but it rained the day we were visiting. We salvaged our stay by visiting New Paltz (10 minutes away) for dining and we visited a large antique shop there as well. If you’re looking for an amazing Italian meal, check out Lombardo’s less than a minute from Agatha’s. The food was five star and Antonio, our waiter was excellent!

It's hard to choose my favorite part of our stay at the Nest... it was absolutely beautiful, uniquely constructed with a really peaceful energy. I felt that the intention to create a lovely space was not only executed but the positive intention stayed with the home. Everything was clean and in working order, comfortable, spacious. Kristin was very responsive and proactive, and mostly very friendly. We enjoyed exploring the home and the decor from different countries. The surroundings were private and so green and lush. Birds through the big open windows, thunderstorm - perfect... Exploring Minnewaska and Mohonk Preserve was awesome and New Paltz is super cute. I've been to the area once before but got a better snapshot of it all this time. We would love to come back! Thank you so much!

Lovely place with lake views. 100% happy with this choice vs other offerings in the area. House is set on a hill so you are viewing the lake from a higher spot than if you were literally on the lake. Very majestic. There are binoculars on the window sill to check out boats/things going on. I enjoyed the decor/sense of style the host has. Lots of interesting books, art, turntable, board games, cards, etc. The gardens, koi pond are well maintained. Rooms and bath upstairs do have lower ceiling but this info is disclosed in the ad. It didn’t detract from the experience. Went hiking but we were not avid hikers so learning to read the trail markers was new for us. The town is very small but we found nice spots to eat/visit nearby. We did use kitchen and coffee maker. Appliances are very new. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Cool hairdryer. Host def. appreciates design. Thank you for letting us stay a few extra hours past check out. Wonderful time! Felt like I really got away from the stress.

Top notch experience and accommodations. Michael was the most responsive and organized host. Perfect retreat for a long weekend. Amenities (hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, fireplace) and location (short drive to Woodstock) make this a really special place. Hope to be back soon - thanks for the best hospitality!

Jane’s home is beautiful, quiet, and so relaxing. The area itself is wonderful and quaint and the home has everything you need and more. We sat out each morning on the front deck for coffee and each evening for a glass of wine, and ate dinner on the screened-in porch. Despite the temperatures reaching 90 degrees outside, the home remained very comfortable even without A/C. There were plenty of fans and the evenings were pleasantly cool. Jane is very friendly and helpful—stopped by on our first day to give us some wonderful local recommendations (our kids loved visiting a nearby apple orchard / restaurant). Honestly, you can’t ask for a better host. We already miss the place and would definitely return!

Beautiful, spacious house in a convenient location about 15 min to Mohonk Preserve. The bathrooms and kitchen are sparkling and renovated. Modern, comfortable lounging space for hanging out with family. A gem!

Such a beautiful house. Way better than the pictures. Tons of space and everyone had a great time. Kids didn’t want to leave!

What a great, really well restored historical cottage surrounded by the most beatiful nature. First class fly fishing within walking distance. We as Finns enjoyed the Finnish sauna (it even had Finnish made stove). "Hyvät löylyt" !!

This was by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. So many extra amenities, an amazing shower, a beautiful view and the best fire pit and outdoor space!!! At the last minute we asked Aster to prepare the luxury picnic for us since we were there while in town for our wedding. Even though it was the last minute, Aster prepared the most amazing, expansive, DELICIOUS charcuterie board with soooo much food at an incredible price. This was such a positive experience and if we ever need a place in new paltz again, we would absolutely stay here again.

This was hands-down, my favorite. Air B&B ever! We hope to return and spend more time on our next visit. We were literally immersed in and surrounded by nature and it was so beautiful and peaceful. It also felt like home the minute we stepped in… like going to a friend’s “country weekend” place where the books, puzzles, games, records, artwork, handcrafted pottery, electric blankets, dog beds and more (!) just make you feel at ease and in comfort. This place is so loved and it shares that love with its visitors. Thank you to the owners for sharing such a special place!

We were on a multigenerational trip where everyone was stunned at the outset by the luxurious feel of this property. The decor is impeccable yet warm and inviting. The layout worked perfectly with some enjoying the wood burning fireplace while others watched movies in the study/tv room. We grilled one night and at every meal we were able to enjoy the beautiful mountain ridge view. Our dog enjoyed long games of fetch on the well maintained lawn at the front of the property. Finally, Upstate Place was an absolute joy to work with.

The most thoughtful host with a gorgeous place. My parents loved it and we stayed there with them and my two girls, who absolutely adored the upstairs loft and loft play area (they were up there for hours playing). The property was beautifully landscaped with the perfect mix of wilderness and civility. We loved the fire pit at night with automatic string lights to boot. The house was spacious but felt homey. It wasn’t cluttered and the decor was well suited for the property. Thanks so much for hosting our family. We hope to come back soon!
