Tipis at the mill - 3

EmmaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Very rural area just within the border, plenty of animals and chickens around. The courtyard and buildings were beautiful. Unfortunately, it was quite wet and cold the evening we stayed, but atmospheric. This place is probably fantastic in the summer. The brasserie in the nearby town was great! We arrived in the evening and had to ring the number at reception, but this was answered immediately and the host was helpful, spoke many languages and showed us around.

Tipis at the mill - 1

SophieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The host is welcoming, friendly, and available, even at 10PM :) Nice place with a lot of chicken. If you have a light sleep, there are ear plugs provided by Yolanda, otherwise, there is a very good experience to sleep inside the tipis. The shared bathroom and kitchen are clean and well organised.

Tipis at the mill - 4

Loved staying here! It's the perfect place if you are bike packing or passing through. It was so nice to stay on the farm. Keep that in mind as there are lots of roosters but that's what gives it its charm.

Loved it! The chickens were a surprising bonus but we eventually got used to it. Be sure to go on hikes in the area especially to the castle of Mheer!

1.Loveful bell tent, box spring and unobstructed view

RachèlRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The location of the tent(s) is beautiful, in the middle of nature/meadows and with goats and chickens nearby, trekkers that drive by and cows and horses across the street. Nice with our son of two who loves quite tractors and all the farm animals; there was also a water table for toddlers etc. Ideal. The tent itself is luxurious, nice the space, but with simple kitchen utensils. We omitted extensive cooking (but yes, who does that in a tent?). We had brought our own camp bed for the little one, all fit fine. At the tent a nice lounge set, parasol and bbq (although we did not use it). As already indicated with other reviews, keep in mind a cold outdoor shower (does have some) and simple sanitary facilities. If there was room for washing up and hot water, I would have given it even more stars. But that also gives it its charm. The hosts were very welcoming, top!

Indians tipi on uninhabited island in Veluwemeer

MarvinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Staying on the island of Kluut was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you want the time to stand still for a moment, if you want to clear your soul or if you want to break out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this idyllic paradise is the place to be. We were actually only there for two nights, but it felt like it was two weeks for us. Leave your phones in the car, definitely go to the restaurant boofor, and save your naughty souls with the help of a reservation with Janneke and her family. ❤️

Scandinavia tipi with wood stove 3-person

CaglarRating, 5 stars13 months ago
Place was very clean and tidy, only in the evening it got very cold despite several blankets. The sauna and jacuzzi described were a little unfortunate and a little further away than we thought. The surroundings are very quiet and you can enjoy nature completely relaxed. There was everything important to buy on site and you could experience a great trip even without camping equipment. However, the best was the bikes that you could rent for free only once a day and that only for 2 hours, which unfortunately is too little for 4 bicycles. You had plenty of space and the tents are well separated so everyone can enjoy their privacy.

The Forest is Calling! Tipi

NadineRating, 5 stars47 months ago
We stayed with Gidus for a week in total & would have liked to have stayed longer:) The whole system is very green and idyllic. We enjoyed the holiday very much. Our dog also felt super comfortable. The sanitary facilities are in great condition and are cleaned several times a day. Our breakfast was fantastic and more than sufficient in amount. We were always brought by on time in the morning and the bread was still warm. We often went to the beach to Callantsoog, by car via expressways about 30 minutes drive. There's an area where the dogs are allowed to walk freely. We will be happy to come again! :)

Enjoy the wilderness feeling in a tipi

HaraldRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Booked an overnight stay in a tipi tent last minute. Arrived early in the evening at Ecostay. Pleasantly surprised by the fantastically beautiful surroundings and the creative, unique, organic, delicious layout of the campsite. We had just taken our stuff out of the car and were in the process of installing us in the tent. At that time, Raoul told us that a yurt had become available last minute. The tipi tent is already a lot of fun, but the yurt is great! We moved our stuff, looked a little and spent the night. In the morning a short walk made in the immediate area. The stay was short, but from the outdoor category UNFORGETTABLE. We will definitely be repeating!:-) Thank you Raoul for creating this amazing place!

Glamping with hot tub * peace and space in nature!

EsmeeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a lovely friends weekend with Margret and Thor. The beautiful, quiet area is great to get away from it all. Breakfast was super catered by Margret and also the hot tub under the starry sky was a great experience. We definitely recommend the Glamping and would love to come back!

My daughter and I spent a long weekend at the campsite and slept in a tipi. That was quite comfortable, nice mattresses and a spacious tent with even a cozy seating area. We have the gas barbeque in front of the tent, and there was also a fire bowl to make a campfire. There are 6 tipis that are in a circle on a separate field, with a shared picnic table in the middle, very cozy. The outdoor kitchen is ideal, you can also eat there together. At the campsite there is a jetty with sun loungers on a wide ditch. There are canoes and sups and you can rent a whisper boat. Unfortunately, we have not been able to use it due to the weather. Crista and Gert had a pizza night organized and that was very cozy, despite the bad weather. We had a nice mini vacation!

Tipitent in the Drenthe nature

ElineRating, 5 stars10 months ago
A Dream Location if you want to camp with your family/friends luxury and still want a back-to-basic feeling in a nice relaxed environment! Sleep in a tipi on good beds, adventure! Barefoot in the grass and beach sand! On a swimming pond where you can watch critters for hours. Seats everywhere, a treehouse, play elements that blend into the nature. And: you can light unlimited campfire! You are surrounded by trees which makes the place very private It may be that you share the property with other guests, they also have enough space for themselves. In short: Within no time you will be able to contemplate in one of the hammocks. This is the perfect place to rest and unwind. The children played nicely here: don't want to leave. Our son:”Mom, this is really a top spot! “ Very valuable to really enjoy this together. Frank and his family are incredibly hospitable warm people and very relaxed and pleasant to deal with. You are made to feel so very welcome!

Smûk Grutte Bell Tent

We had a very nice stay with our two small children in the grutte Bell tent. It was really camping with outdoor faucet though. Inside was a small cash machine for 1 pan that we could do just fine! Hot tub we had with us was already nice and warm on arrival and can also enjoy the entire stay with kids. Very nice that we got a tip where we could rent bicycles. Beautiful surroundings. Wonderfully cycled and plenty of play opportunities for the children on the campground. Beautiful views also in the meadows and we were on a nice private piece. Nice that we were a shop which was always open to self service. It felt very welcoming. Thank you for this nice first stay of our vacation! We'd love to come back sometime because there was plenty to discover and do in the area. Regards, Mariëtte, Wouter, Florieke (3 years) and Loek (1 year)

A great little place with just enough supplies. You can't find it much nicer. Especially in combination with the already hot-fired hot tub. Cozy atmosphere, nice host (in our case)! Recommended!
