It was as comfortable as my vacation home in Bohol He also booked me a van before I arrived at the port to move from Cebu to Bohol. There was also drinking water, cooking utensils, and seasonings, and he was very enthusiastic about the accommodation. I needed to print it urgently, but thankfully, I was thankful that you even did the print yourself. It was an eco-friendly accommodation, so I was able to say hello to the lizards every morning, and it was nice to have two air conditioners in the living room. It's a great place for a large family to tie up at an affordable price, so I highly recommend it. I couldn't get Grab on the day I came back, so I asked for a sanding taxi in a hurry, but they worked hard to find it. Thank you. I don't know when I'll go to Bohol again, but until then, be happy.

This is an accommodation that all the families who traveled together were satisfied. There was nothing lacking for multiple people to stay and the pool and view were really nice. The location is a little far from downtown Alona Beach, but they helped us right away with car layout if needed. I stayed for 3 nights, but I didn't clean it separately. (I think they only do it if requested) The towels were replenished upon request. It is expensive but the quick response from the house and the housekeeper seems to be worth it. We were able to have a great vacation. Especially, we were able to see the sunset every day and it's really beautiful.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this property. The interior and the pool looked just like the photos. Though the place is a bit aged, everything was clean, and the towels and bedding were fresh and crisp. It was clear how well David and his family care for the home — even the pool was beautifully maintained. Manager Allen was incredibly responsive and kind to our family’s needs. The firefly tour he arranged was an unforgettable experience — far better than others we’ve seen. When my niece wanted a nail service, David’s wife kindly took her. There was a small issue, but she did her best to help, and we’re very grateful. We also used the chef service — every dish was delicious, and both adults and kids enjoyed the meals. Our family had such a happy and memorable time here. If we come back to Bohol, we’d love to stay again. And lastly, thank you so much, Allen! :)

Me and my family enjoyed the place as it was very nice and quiet and we were able to see the beautiful view of the mountains that is so mind relaxing..We liked the fact that the place is very private and no neighbors nearby and no roasters and no noisy dogs barking. Wish we could have stayed more time and hoping to see the sunset but unfortunately it was always cloudy and a rainy afternoon while we’re there so we never get the chance to see it but nevertheless I recommend the place for family gatherings and celebrations…

Me and my family enjoyed the house.. we loved to have the whole place by ourselves .. my family enjoyed the pool. Chris and Apple are awesome host and very flexible as we have some changes with our plans.. we give the place and the host 5 star..

I completely agree with all of the positive reviews. This seaside cottage is a great place to stay, very comfortable, and convenient to town and the port. I enjoyed the pool and even got to watch a few movies on Netflix. The hosts are fantastic people. They picked me up and took me to the port, which was only a few minutes ride but this is a kind gesture which makes guests feel so welcome. They were kind, responsive, and gave me very prompt and helpful travel suggestions. My highest possible rating!

As always and will forever be, an absolute sanctuary for our weary bodies and spirit after full day of meetings, appointments and farm visits. It always rejuvenate and recharge us for another day of similar activities be it in Bacolod/Negros or at another Island of Panay. The Sylvo-therapy (forest healing/therapy) and the grounding/earthing one can get by being at the yard is already worth the price of the stay. The prompt and almost butler like services the staff are extending made our stay awesome. Looking forward to stay and recharge at Amare again soon.

Very clean and nice place to stay with your family and friends. If you are from outside Iloilo, much better to rent a car to save money.

The house or should I say mansion was amazing so spacious & even though the house is high up in the hills so it was cooler, every room had its own AC unit. The whole family loved it! The caretaker was great as well, able to sort anything that I needed including booking a taxi. This place was great & very peaceful & secure, I highly recommend this place.

Host was super accommodating and helpful. The caretaker Ryan assisted us a lot in making our trip convenient. Had enough beds and room for a big family of 6 adults and 1 child. It was very clean and pleasant. Super near to the sardine run and turtle watching, we were also introduced to a local tour guide by the host and caretaker for the activities. We were also able to stick around in the property while waiting for transpo. It was a great and comfortable experience!

The three hosts that manage the properties were extremely helpful and kind. Proactive in what may be required. Very beautiful bungalow and perfect facilities for cooking. Loved every minute, thank you!

My family and I loved our stay at this residence. It is conveniently located on a main road leading to the town of Isabela, but at a perfect walking distance from the town itself (5 mins. or so), affording us privacy to enjoy the home and backyard without curious eyes trying to peek in. We felt very safe in this home. My wife is from Isabela, and this home was the perfect match for us. She hadn't been back home in over 5.5 years, and our only purpose was to stay local so that my in-laws and wife's extended family could finally meet our children. This was definitely small town living at its best, without lacking any of life's comforts. Thank you Renie for having us over. Also, a special thanks to the two local ladies who made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely be staying at this residence again on our next trip to Isabela!

Our party of seven had a perfect stay at Casa Luisa. The house is more spacious than the photos depict. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking meals. The youngsters enjoyed the professionally maintained pool. We would happilly stay at Casa Luisa again.

We had a lovely stay at this villa. A means of locomotion is required (scooter or car), but the situation is nevertheless very good. Special mention for the small restaurant a short walk to the house, where lunch is excellent. We highly recommend this listing for a relaxing stay in Siquijor.

The House of the Rising Sun was perfect for our group of 10 (9 adults and 1 child). Chris was responsive from the time that I was inquiring about many things before the actual booking, to the time that we were already in Bohol. He made practical suggestions that enabled us to maximize our time in Bohol. The van service provided by the Airbnb was a dealbreaker for us, because this made the airport transfers, the tours and the transportation to and from the beach and the restaurants so much easier (and cheaper!). The house itself was spacious and clean, and it came with all the creature comforts that one would expect from a good airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and again this was a major plus for Paul and Chris' place since we did not want to be at the beach all day long. Thank you, Chris, for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect place to chill and bond with family and friends.
