Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Nanaimo

The comfort of the cabin was perfect for our rainy weekend away as we ended up spending most of our stay indoors. The little fireplace kept the space cozy and warm for when we came in from the hot tub. Plenty of room to set up a large dog bed and the enclosed deck was wonderful to allow her to roam without any worry of her wandering off. We had a lovely time at Ash & Brett's.

Ingrid’s home is incredible and was an amazing place to stay for our wedding weekend. The home is beautiful and Ingrid left thoughtful touches around for us. Communication was excellent and we had everything we needed. Exceptional host and exceptional property.

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We had a very enjoyable two night start at Haining’s place. Beautiful location, very peaceful, idyllic. A highlight was waking up to see deer in the garden. Great value for money. Excellent host, helpful communication. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend to friends/family.

Angel House was a grand choice for holiday. A hot spot for a mini reunion with family I hadn’t seen in donkey years. Diana and Paul greeted us warmly and were available throughout our stay. At €750 per night and a €21 cash fee per guest, it accommodated up to 12 guests in 7 beds. Listed as “Entire Home” was attached to Diana’s living quarters but it did not detract the experience. Charming décor, window coverings invited early morning light and hotel-quality pillows needed after a long drive. The provided salt and pepper were a nice touch. Nomads will know to bring their own essentials but I prefer not to ask hosts for things during my stay. Despite a few minor issues—no ice on arrival, low ceiling in upstairs bathroom—house provided ample space otherwise with reliable Wi-Fi and a dishwasher! Location was close to Maffeo Sutton & Colliery Dam Park, a short drive to Duke Point Ferry Terminal and bistros around for lunch. Casa Angel de Nanaimo is a value for a memorable reunion!

This place was clean, beautiful, and so peaceful. We truly felt relaxed and at home throughout our stay. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and made our time in Parksville extra special. If we come back to Parksville, we’ll definitely be staying here again. Thank you for such a lovely space and warm hospitality!

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Clean and organized space. Amazing view and pool with a very private feel. We had a great time walking the neighbourhood and exploring the arbutus forests, always followed up with a quick soak in the pool. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Great place for shorter stay. As described only a very well stocked kitchen good for breakfast and lunches. Couple of dinner options within walking distance. Would certainly book again!!

Wir hatten eine unglaublich tolle Zeit im Tiny Home von Meghan! Das Tiny House hat eine wahnsinnig gute Ausstattung und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Besonders toll fanden wir die verschiedenen Lage und den Garten um das Grundstück, man ist absolut ungestört und kann ein paar wundervolle Stunden verbringen. Riesiges Highlight war natürlich der Jaccuzzi und die Sauna mit Blick in den Wald, vor allem aber die Gastfreundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Meghan & Bryan. Wir waren wirklich sehr traurig das Tiny House zu verlassen und würden jederzeit wieder bei den Beiden buchen. Absolute Herzensempfehlung :-)

Stayed here for a week attending classes at VIU. Loved the proximity to the university, grocery store and restaurants, and the quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfortable and I slept great. Travis was super responsive and helpful. Appreciated the breakfast items and little extras.

Can't say enough good things about my stay here, everything was exactly what I needed, I just wish I had more time to check out everything that the area had to offer. Fantastic, responsive hosts, I would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

Very clean and comfortable. The beds and the linen were great. I liked that there was air conditioning. The only thing I would comment on is that the carpets need a good cleaning.

Erika's place is great! It's exactly what we needed for a few weeks to explore Nanaimo. The beds are very comfortable. The living room is cozy and convenient. The kitchen has everything we needed and more. But Erika... was AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home! And even when we had to cut our stay short by a week (!), she was very understanding and gave us her personal number so we can stay in contact :) She is truly a super host! If you're ever in the area, this is an Airbnb you will not regret.

Beautiful, clean, and cozy cottage. Relaxing farm setting property. Large fenced in yard for dog. Very sunny, bright, and private. Mary was very accomodating, friendly, and quick to respond to my questions a d requests. Went above and beyond by recommending a online resource to access other vancouver island short term rentals.
