When I read other guests reviews, I could tell that Janet sincerely cared for all of her guests. If you are searching for a home away from home, stop searching because Janet is the GEM in the Sunshine Coast treasure box.

Had a great time at Jane's place. It is in a great location close to the beach and walking trails. Also within walking distance of great restaurants. The house had everything you need for cooking, sleeping and relaxing.

It was a beautiful home for the 10 of us when ample space to feel very comfortable. We had trouble with pool being not heated but Tanner was very helpful and quick to respond and helped us get it working again. The home is so cozy and clean and we would highly recommend it to other large groups.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this property. So much so, that we considered buying a cottage in this community. Our stay was a luxury experience. Kate and Fohla were wonderful hosts and gave us personal attention as needed. We will be back!

This was a great location for our Vancouver island adventures. Pretty central to what we wanted to do. Cathedral Grove was close enough for us to visit multiple times, and the trip over to the Pacific coast was about what we wanted. Great hosts, were very quick to respond, and extremely helpful. House was great for our family, good amount of space, and lots of activities to do on rest days. Would stay here again if we ever come back to explore the area more.

Peaceful and lovely house, the views from the balcony were beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nanaimo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Very family friendly - we used the pack'n'play and highchair, as well as the beach toys provided! There were many "kids" cups and plates which made meal time a breeze. The fully enclosed deck was also nice for the kids to play on. There were a couple things that would be nice for a handyman to come work on (tightening up toilet seats/towel rods, etc.) but overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

It was great place to stay..

Andrea's place was VERY spacious. it was extremely clean, beds were comfy and the area was easy for us to get to the highway for our work trip. there was plenty of parking for both our work vans. when we booked, Andrea replied almost immediately and was responsive throughout our stay. I'd recommend anyone traveling to to this part of Vancouver Island to definitely stay here. Thank you for having us as guests!

Great host. You will get a nice mountain view from the suite. Kitchen has all the amenities that you would need for the stay. Beds were comfortable. Thanks John!

Nicole’s “carriage house” is exactly as described, absolutely beautiful, peaceful and private. Very well equipped kitchen, laundry, bathroom etc. Nicole has thought of everything you may need. We loved our 4 night stay and visit around the island, then to come back each day to relax at the carriage house. 10/10

What a wonderful stay at Brianna’s little piece of heaven! We were on Thetis for our brother’s wedding, and our stay here was so relaxing and peaceful, everything we needed and more. Brianna went out of her way to make the 4 of us comfortable and saved the day with an iron, so the guys could be wrinkle free after travelling from Ontario lol So many kind gestures and thoughtful touches, made our stay here memorable! Nothing compares to morning coffee, overlooking the pasture, with the distant sounds of the animals waking for their day as well. Salty their dog was so sweet, the most well behaved dog we’ve ever come across. Thank you Brianna and family for a spectacular stay, we’ve already recommended you to everyone we’ve talked to!! If we’re ever back to the island, you’ll definitely see us again 😊

Jenny was a fantastic host-- very responsive and helpful! the place was in a great location close to a lot of restaurants. You can walk to a beach from the house.

Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a week stay. Solid internet that supported my partner and I working remotely from the bnb. In a quieter area but still close to shops and a lovely lake, and only a short drive to downtown. Loved the recliner chairs!

Amazing location and one of the best on the Sunshine Coast. Well equipped for families and also for those that are looking for just a quick getaway. Hidden Gem.

An amazing place to stay through and through! Fenny was responsive and reliable the entre time, from our inital reservation to the moment we checked out. She even gave us the option between rooms for our stay to accommodate the various age groups we had! Our 2 year old loved the family room!! 365 carpet so you can relax while your little one plays and roams!

We had an incredible stay! The suite is so spacious, we felt right at home. We loved having a full kitchen to cook, and the in-floor heating was wonderful :) Worth every penny for a relaxing stay in this convenient location. Peter, the host, has truly thought of everything!

If you love nature, a peaceful environment, clean and very safe neighbourhood for a family spot this is the place! Julia’s beautiful home is just steps away from a scene that looks like just out of postcard! The covered patio was perfect in the hot heat and Great for cool raining nights as you’ll stay comfortable and dry! The view from the patio makes you want to stay a few more days just alone. Food is about 5-10mins away. There’s parks 2-5mins and one that is literally across the street! If you’re planning a trip to Nanaimo, I would highly recommend staying here! As an avid Airbnb renter / explorer I have found Julia’s home to be the cleanest & safest environment. I hope everyone gets a chance to experience this beautiful home. We had a fantastic stay at Howards and Jennifers place. We directly felt like home and the neighbourhood is wonderful. Howard and Jennifer are such open and kind people. As we had some struggle with our future Travel Plan Howard deeply supported us to find solutions which was very helpful for us. They invited us for a great bbq and we spend a nice evening together. They made our start in canada very Special. We are for than thankful for meeting them and we will definetly stay in contact and come back. Thank you for everything!

Kiel hosted a few of our employees while we did some work in Nanaimo. We were given clear instructions on check in and check out, the place was exactly as they showed. We would definitely recommend to others and stay here again.

A lovely home nestled in the woods above the trees. I spent a couple of nights with this as my home base. It was a great location to come home to after adventuring to places in the area and before heading on to the west coast. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! The quiet stillness was incredible with only the birds chirping. So peaceful!

Sage's place was absolutely stunning! Well decorated with space for our family to each have their own room. There were plenty of essentials that we didn't have to buy (shampoo, laundry soap, coffee etc.) which was really convenient. Located close to the ferry terminal, Sage's place provided our family with a base to explore Nanaimo and parts of the northern part of the island. We will definitely be back!

I had a wonderful experience at this place! The room was very nice and clean, providing a comfortable stay for my family. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made our visit even more enjoyable. I have little kids, so I requested a later checkout, and the host was understanding and flexible with our needs. Overall, a fantastic stay! Highly recommend.
