Cabin holiday rentals in Mountain Rest

This is the perfect Airbnb for a vacation in the mountains! I have stayed here twice and will be back again! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Sitting in the hot tub at night is very relaxing and you can see so many stars out. Be sure to explore all of the waterfalls in the area to!

Save your self the trouble spending hours researching where to stay in the Smokies. This location is a perfect proximity to where ever you decide to venture off too. The property itself is stunning to say the least! The thought out decor, details, layout, and craftsmanship was much appreciated. You’ll love sitting out on the balcony overlooking the Smokies listening to sounds of nature around you. The furniture inside is very cozy, you’ll get plenty good rest between adventures. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools needed for your kitchen/bbq grill creations. The hosts were amazing, and quick to respond to anything you may need before and during your stay. Little Woodchuck was the perfect getaway. The cabin is beautiful, extremely clean, and feels tucked away in its own private little corner of the woods. Everything about it felt calm and peaceful from the moment we arrived. The hot tub was a highlight it was so relaxing and peaceful. We also loved the big deck and spent a lot of time just enjoying the quiet and fresh air. Inside, everything was comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was modern and clean, and the whole space just felt really well cared for.

Peaceful, private wooden oasis. We enjoyed seeing all the deer in the area. We felt it was a great location right between all the mountain towns, great for finding hiking locations, parks, museums, and great restaurants. Then spending our nights in a cozy private cabin in the woods, playing games and having family movie nights or siting on the porch enjoying the rain & lighting show.

My husband and I spent two nights at Julie’s place to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Private, relaxing, perfect weekend getaway!

Evan’s place is a gem. It is beautifully furnished and everything I needed was there. It’s located very close to Main Street Clayton where there are many great restaurants, shops, etc. I will definitely be back!

I was impressed of how spacious the home was on the inside and all of the amenities were perfect too!

This private, peaceful cottage in the woods was absolutely adorable. Conveniently located to Tallulah Gorge and downtown Clayton, we found lots to do and then came back to the cabin and enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the rain fall. We were very impressed with how clean, comfortable, and cozy everything was. Thanks for sharing with us. We hope to return.

We loved it! Charming, cozy and clean. Loved sitting on the porch, watching hummingbirds feed. The whole family enjoyed exploring the beautiful yard. Perfect place!

It was a gorgeous stay. The host was very responsive, as well as flexible, giving us a tour of the area upon arrival. The location was gorgeous and peaceful. Highly recommend!!

Lynette’s place was such a peaceful stay. We had a family emergency that caused a major delay in our trip, so we ended up only being there overnight. Lynette was quick in responding and very kind. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at Carolyn’s cabin! It was away from everything, which some may not like, but that’s exactly how we like it. It forces you to get creative and just enjoy the simple things, like the sounds of nature. She had beautiful flowers and plants on the deck, which brought in lots of hummingbirds. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom had extras for you to use, along with high quality pots and pans. (Stainless steel is all we use). The drive was steep, but our truck did just fine. Our dog enjoyed it all as well. 🐾

We all liked the rustic cabin. It was very quaint, comfortable and a great location. The porches are so nice and relaxing. Enjoyed the place with our family very much. Great memories and exercise made on our NC Mountain trips always!.

We had a great stay at Melissa’s cabin. Beautiful Mountain View! Done well: The home was clean, welcoming, & well stocked. Comfortable beds. Clear instructions. Host is quick to respond. THE PORCH 😍 Possible improvements: lighting in showers. It’s pretty dark. There is a motion sensor light in the shower that you have to wave at a few times. Not a huge deal for us. Bedding has overpowering smell of laundry detergent/softener. Probably not a problem for most people but strong fragrances give a few members of my family headaches. BUT they were nice & clean beds. Things to consider: The driveway is steep (about a 13% grade) We were in our Ford F-350 Dually so it probably felt a bit tighter but was still manageable & probably no big deal if you are used to driving in the mountains. Overall- We loved the place & would definitely stay again ❤️

Heather’s place was a great retreat! The cabin was well appointed with interesting decor and a comfortable bed. She had everything one needs for a restful stay from the snacks in the cupboard to the drinks in the fridge. The shower had good water pressure with hot water. Plenty of clean, soft towels were set out ready for you. The landscape had to be my favorite! She takes great pride in offering a variety of flowering plants in the front garden. The moss garden was my favorite! It reminded me of my childhood and playing in the woods. The moss was always my carpet in my fairy home.😁 There are lots of seating outside to accommodate your nature soaking. It rained when we were there and so we did not use the fire chimney but it was a nice feature given the right time. We definitely be back to the Locust Log Cabin whenever we want a quick getaway. Julie's place never disappoints as this is our 3rd year staying there & already booked for our 4th. Everything is spotless, we feel some comfy & cozy. I love sitting & listening to the wild life & stream in back.

The house was perfect. I loved how clean everything was. My children loved playing in the basement. My husband enjoyed fishing at the lake. The little extras (paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and laundry detergent) were so helpful as we were only there two nights and minimal hours during the day due to baseball tournaments. The only thing I disliked (which may just be a personal preference but also for sanitary reasons) was that there was no mattress protector on the bed. After looking through some linens in basement, I found one that somewhat worked for our bed. Overall, we were pleased with our experience and Linton Realty as they were very responsive and helpful when needed. Thanks for a great stay!

What a beautiful and tranquil hidden gem! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved it. It’s plenty secluded to give you the privacy you need and 15 minutes from a good area with cell service. I’d highly recommend and will stay again in a heartbeat!

This is our second time visiting and we are just in love with this place! We look for places that are private and secluded, yet close enough to get to the grocery store, couple of restaurants, that kind of thing. Also being at higher elevation where it's cooler during the hot season and the view is just outstanding! Chrissy is an amazing host and always quick to respond to any questions! The property itself is adorable and impeccably clean with a ton of personality! Very comfortable and we have had no trouble with the Internet and we have about 10 things running at the same time, but I know it's not guaranteed as she says in the description so don't count on that, but, again, we had no trouble at all the both times we've been there. We've already booked another trip to visit in the Fall and counting the days! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location in Westminster right on the river! Clean cabin with all necessities. Gail lives right next door so easily accessible. Very nice lady who came over & greeted us upon arrival.
