Drift Away Studio

Enjoy all of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park from Drift Away Studios. This new space attached to our primary residence is the perfect spot. Located in Northeast Harbor, we are walking distance to the Marina, restaurants, and shopping. We are a short bike ride away from the Brown Mountain Gate House to enter Acadia. A 15 min drive to Bar Harbor, and steps away from the school with play spaces, and even a free public pool (July & August). We are the gem you have been searching for.

The Arthaus, an eclectic retreat for two

Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

The house and stable, which once served the livery needs of Mt. Desert, are located on one of the major island roads. Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and the 'Quiet Side' of MDI are all close by, but be prepared for summer traffic.

Craney House is a comfortable place with character—good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). We affectionately call it our "tree house" because of the jungle that used to obscure the house. We love Otter Creek for its quieter access to what Acadia has to offer—close to the Park Loop Rd, carriage and hiking trails, but it's also only about 5 miles away from Bar Harbor and 10 miles to Seal Harbor.

Pretty Marsh Cottage

This beautiful, light-filled cottage on waterfront property on the western side of Mount Desert Island has picturesque views of the Mount Desert Narrows and access to a private pebble beach. The house is on very secluded wooded property for a nice private getaway. All you will hear are the sounds of birds and waves lapping up on the beach. Just a short drive to all that Acadia National Park has to offer!

Nothing bad to say! So close to Acadia and near so many cute towns. Loved the patio. Bedrooms were spacious and loved that there are two couches in the living room so lots of sitting room for our big family.

This Airbnb was a perfect spot for a couple to explore all of Mount Desert Island . We stayed for 6 nights and experienced Maine’s beautiful fall foliage. It was exactly as described - peaceful and private - away from busy bar harbor - but easy enough 15 min drive to and from and to Park entrance. we enjoyed the fire pit, cozy living area and used the kitchen to cook in after busy days on the trail … would highly recommend. And Traveling Lobster right down the road is amuse for Best Lobster Rolls !

Melissa and Fred were wonderful hosts. Very responsive, friendly, and full of awesome suggestions about the area. The cottage was just as described: simple and rustic, set in the middle of so much wildlife! We visited in November, when temps get low in the mornings and evenings. The wood stove in the cottage was easy to fire up and kept the place super toasty. This was the most relaxing getaway, we will be back for sure!

Deer Track: New Oceanfront Cottage on Somes Sound

Wow! We’ve been visiting Acadia for over a decade and Deer Track—by a decent margin—had the most majestic views from the most peaceful position of any property that we’ve ever stayed in. The Airbnb pictures are good, but the actual views are even better. The back deck overlooks the Somes Sound and several Acadia mountain peaks that catch the sunrise in the mornings. Mimi and Rick were warm, welcoming hosts that made us feel like old friends. We cannot recommend Deer Track highly enough!

Starry Nights was an absolutely beautiful location that was a welcome retreat when returning from our days at Acadia. The house was spacious and the view from the deck was breathtaking! Ann was a responsive host and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had!
