House holiday rentals in Monterey

This place was exactly what my family needed for our beach getaway! The layout of the house is so cozy and it felt like a home away from home. The 180’ of ocean views was truly amazing. We watched a pod of humpback whales go back and forth throughout the day and got to watch a feeding frenzy of thousands of birds all from the balcony! We drove 20 minutes to Henry Cowell Redwoods State park and walked around Pacific Ave in Santa Cruz. From the spot we walked to the beach (with all our boogie boards, sand toys, towels, umbrella, etc.), took advantage of Venus’ happy hour and really didn’t need to use our car for two days! This will definitely be a spot we stay at again!

We had a really lovely stay at Lisa's place. The setting is really beautiful and peaceful and the space is lovely and cosy. There were lots of thoughtful touches and Lisa was super friendly and easy to communicate with.

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

Cute house. Would advise driving during daylight tho, the roads are extremely windy and challenging at night. We had a tough time driving up in the dark. The amenities like hot tub were great. House was as described! Easy to use amenities. Would advise bringing a jacket on April.

We were in town for a weekend of trail racing and Valentina's place was perfect. It was less than a mile from our event at Toro Park and on a nice, quiet street. The place was very comfortable and the outdoor area was excellent for recovery and relaxing on Saturday. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. Valentina was very responsive throughout the entire process, I really appreciated her. Great place to stay!

It was beautiful, private, and a hidden gem! We had lots of fun and enjoyed all the views throughout the house. The house is even better than the pictures. We had our 2 boys, had plenty to do between the beach, books, basketball, spa, ping pong, and games! We definitely recommend and would go back! Not to mention I love artichokes and this house is located in artichoke city!! So amazing!! 10/10 you won’t be disappointed!

This house is awesome for family adventures. It had every possible amenity for a vacation getaway you could need. The house was spotless upon our arrival and well-organized, with a detailed list of items available to ensure you had a great time. The Pacific Ocean is viewable from the second floor porch which seated six comfortably around the propane fire pit. There were many toys available for families traveling with children. Our toddler granddaughter really enjoyed playing with the many toys. The kitchen was well stocked with modern appliances. The location was just a few minutes' drive to downtown Monterey and Fisherman's Wharf. We absolutely recommend this Airbnb house in the Monterey area. Our host Meli was awesome. She communicated with us from the time we made the reservation until we left. Her instructions for the house were clear and concise. We contacted her twice while we were there and she responded to our questions within minutes. Meli is a top-notch host.

Nice apartment a bit sparsly furnished. Worked great for 2 couples. We each had our own king sized bed in our own bedrooms. The separate laundry room downstairs came in handy. Lots of things to do within a 15 minute drive. The owner was very responsive when we contacted him and quickly took care of what we needed (Getting a new thermostat installed in just a few hours).

This is one of the cleanest Airbnb we have stayed at. The neighbor is quiet and beautiful views from the backyard patio. Bunzi place is stocked with many cookware & towels. We had fun in the playroom. Highly recommend. 10-15 mins from Fisherman worth and Cannery Row.

A million Mahalos Vic and Leanne. We had an amazing time at your place in the Redwoods. First I want to say WOW, not only was this place clean, it was spotless. We felt like we were the first people who've ever stepped foot in the air bnb. Vic and Leanne had everything thing we needed and beyond. They really took their time when they put this place together. Their kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to put our meals together and the grocery store was only a few minutes away. Via and Leanne also had a ton of wonderful tips in their welcome binder. The prime location of Vic and Leanne's place made daily trips to Henry Cowell state park a must. Vic and Leanne are amazing hosts who made my family feel welcome and right at home. This place is heaven in the Redwoods for sure. Aloha Vic and Leanne!

Dean’s place was great in terms of location, size and privacy. We’re familiar with pacific grove/monterey area so we knew what we were looking for. The house has (2) bathrooms which is great and appreciated as (1) bathroom abnb in the area are commonplace but with more than 3 people it’s great to have 2. House is located directly across from ocean walking path. You cross street and you are on the water-10 min walk to aquarium, cannery row, 10 min walk the other direction and you’re at lovers point restaurant. 10 min walk to downtown PG for many restaurants. Clean house, would stay there again for sure. Wife and I were there this time with 17yo nephew, 14yo and 12 yo sons. Plenty of space.

I stayed at this Airbnb for a single night and overall had a positive experience. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While the price was on the higher side, it’s understandable given its excellent proximity to the Pacific Grove coast—just a short walk away, which made for a beautiful and convenient stay. Perfect spot if you’re looking to explore the area and enjoy the coastal scenery. Great location, decent amenities, and a smooth check-in process. Would consider staying again for a longer trip! We loved this place! It was very spacious and held our big group very comfortably. Beds are all really comfortable, couch is big and great for groups. Bathrooms do look different than pictured in the photos, but they’re so cute! Feels kinda vintage cozy. The backyard area/deck is wonderful as well. Location is great, easy access to both Carmel by the sea and Monterey.

Cozy home. Perfect place to stay with our dogs as the fenced yard is a nice feature. Great communication from hosts & we were even allowed an early check-in at the last minute which was greatly appreciated. We would stay here again.

Amazing views and a peaceful location—waking up to the ocean and wildlife was unforgettable. This was our hub for exploring Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur. A short 30-40 minute drive to Big Sur for hikes, and just 10 mins to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea for great dinners. There’s also a handy general store at the bottom of the hill. A couple of notes: This is one of 4 units on the property. While listed as “entire home,” there’s a unit attached at the rear with a door that opens directly into your space through a hallway (for my wife’s peace of mind, we kept our bedroom door locked at night). Another unit is above, and one more is detached in front. That said, everyone keeps to themselves, and interaction is minimal besides maneuvering past their parked cars in the driveway. Also, screenshot the address and key code—cell service drops near the hill and the turnoff into the property is easy to miss in the dark the first time around. Thanks for hosting us, Emily & Mason! We loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at Joanna & Jaden’s place with our toddler! They provided a highchair, pack n play and plates/cups/utensils for our little one which was super convenient for our stay. The place was extremely clean and beautifully decorated and looked exactly like the pictures! We loved the spacious backyard and the location was great. It was a quick drive to all the places on our list! Joanna & Jaden were very kind and responsive since the beginning of my booking. I had a few questions about their space and they quickly answered and eased my concerns. We had no issues staying at their place but it is a duplex where you share walls with the long term tenants next door. We could hear them walking/talking during our stay - again it wasn’t an issue but we did feel like we needed to keep our little one as quiet as possible to not disturb the tenants next door. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend this place for your next trip to Monterey/Carmel.

Lovely, cozy, artisticly designed 6 person home with vibrant atmosphere. Clean, relaxing jacuzzi which required 2 people to remove and replace cover to use. We especially appreciated the food, snacks, and beverages provided by host.

A very nice home for a stay with a moderately sized family. Very good walkable restaurants from the house. A very short drive away from the aquarium, felt very safe with the kids playing in the yard it was enclosed.

Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! In fact, my husband loved it so much that he joked that we should consider getting a place in Carmel Valley one day, just like this one! The house itself is beautifully laid out, well appointed, and impeccably designed. The views of the mountains were absolutely stunning. We brought our little one with us, and there were so many toys and books and a dedicated kids room to keep her entertained! Location was great as well - downtown was only a few minutes drive away, with access to cute wine tasting rooms and restaurants. Overall, we loved this place and would absolutely recommend!

We had a large group that rented both properties - the Hacienda House and Vineyard House. Both were excellent, as described, stocked with anything you need and communication was fast and helpful. Our entire family loved it and felt like royalty. Would highly recommend it and would come back again for sure.

Mimi and Alan’s is a wonderful home base in Monterey/Pacific Grove. This was a last minute trip for us & we really lucked out that it was available. The home itself is beautiful, with everything you need in walking distance. We walked to the aquarium, the grocery store, the cute restaurants up the street, & the trail along the ocean to Lover’s Point - so many seals and otters visible along the way! The only little blip that we had, & it’s no one’s fault, is that the kitchen breaker had tripped before our arrival. This wasn’t obvious to us as we hadn’t used anything in the kitchen, except the microwave which remained unaffected. It wasn’t until late in the afternoon the following day that my husband decided to investigate because the fridge was not cold. We did end up having to throw away some of our groceries that we bought upon arrival. If helpful, there are green lights on the outlets that let you know they’re working & breaker box info is thoughtfully included in the house guide.
