Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mondello

Villa Claudia is place where you experience Sicilian hospitality and comfort at the highest level. Villa Claudia impresses with exceptional cleanliness, lovingly and stylishly furnished rooms. The spacious beds with firm mattresses, plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, pool and outdoor grill provide everything you need for a relaxing stay. For trips to Palermo or the more distant sandy beaches, a car is recommended, but within walking distance you’ll find a rocky beach, a super well-equipped small supermarket (B+F), and “Ganci” – always open for very affordable snacks, cafe, gelato, or a spritz. Villa Claudia offers the best of both worlds: ideal for spending a few relaxing days there and as a perfect base to begin wonderful experiences in Palermo, at lively beaches, or in the hinterland.

Guiseppe war ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Seine Hunde sind sehr süß und lieb. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und man hat dort alles was man braucht. Der Pool ist der perfekt Ort um nach dem Strand zu entspannen. Er gibt so eine schöne Aussicht auf die Berge beim Sonnen und es ist so schön grün um den Pool herum. Die Unterkunft liegt ziemlich zentral, man läuft über die Straße und ist direkt am Meer. Allerdings ist der „Strand“ dort eher steinig. Der Strand von Mondello ist fußläufig nur 10 min entfernt. Alles in allem würden wir die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen :)

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Palme! Giovanni, Antonella, and Valeria were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and excellent communicators from start to finish. Their home was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully set up, especially for families with young children and babies. We felt so at home that we ended up extending our stay by several nights! The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together, and the instructions for household tasks like waste disposal were clear and easy to follow. They also provided fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing, which really helped us make the most of our time in the area. We can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and would highly recommend Villa Palme to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway.

Wow! From the moment we arrived Francesco and Cynthia made us feel welcome, at home and we left feeling like part of their family. The house is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful, private section with everything we needed - including a lovely outdoor shower, table and chairs. The private pool was perfect for a dip after our day trip to Palermo. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Mondello beach, and lots of bars and restaurants. They responded to every request immediately - even driving to the supermarket to buy us bottles of water! Cynthia even wrote a plan for us when visiting Palermo - which we used and worked perfectly. We’ll remember this holiday forever because we got engaged on the trip. But also because we met such wonderful people and stayed in such a beautiful home - thank you Francesco and Cynthia! As promised, we will definitely be back one day ❤️

Davide’s flat is easy to find, just a 2-minute drive from the main road, yet perfectly quiet and peaceful. The apartment is beautifully decorated, modern, and well-equipped. Beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen, while basic, has everything needed for a week-long stay. Davide thoughtfully provides both pool and bath towels. The outdoor space is a highlight—immaculately maintained gardens and a lovely pool ideal for relaxing in the sun. Secure gated parking is available via key fob. The surrounding area is stunning, with Alcamo just 5–10 minutes away and the picturesque coastal town of Castellammare del Golfo about 12 minutes by car. It’s also within driving distance of Palermo, San Vito Lo Capo, Scopello, and the hidden gem of Guidaloca Beach. A fantastic stay—great value and highly recommended. We stayed at Lampeduso for 3 nights and it definitely wasn’t long enough. It’s such a great Airbnb in a perfect location. Palermo is such an interesting city, with its mix of cultures and all its gritty charm. The palace was perfect. It rained for two of the days we were there, but because the villa was so fantastic, the weather didn’t affect us at all. The place is huge, with great amenities that made a big difference—washer and dryer for our soaked clothes, umbrellas ready to go, and plenty of space to enjoy a good card game. When the sun did come out, we spent early evenings on the patio next to the pool. Honestly, the villa alone makes us want to return to Palermo.

The whole apartment is amazing but the roof top in particular was out of this world! To have the outside space in the middle of the city is a real treat and Stefania’s place is an oasis of calm. It is just off the main thoroughfare so brilliantly located yet very peaceful. We were two couples and there was masses of space to be together and have some privacy when wanted. The kitchen has everything and more and I think belongs to a very good cook! Stefania arranged a taxi from the airport which made arrival smooth - especially as a flight change meant we arrived late and finding the apartment without Andrea’s help would have been much more difficult. We received lots of information in advance and were given tips and suggestions for places to visit and eat in Palermo. Everyone we encountered to do with the apartment was charming and could not have been more help including the friendly neighbour and delightful housekeeper. Thank you so much Stefania. Wish the dogs were included!!

Stunning location. On the front side, the (small) mount Bonifato and the sea; on the back, hilly Sicily as far as the eye can see. Very peaceful, one can enjoy some days of calm here. Hosts are very welcoming and cleanliness was much appreciated. One point to consider for car entusiasts: in case of a lowered/sport car, the last 200m of acces road could be a challenge.

The apartment has lots of character, with old fashioned furniture but in a good way. The small terrace is lovely with lots of plants surrounding you, a good place to have breakfast or read a book. Very comfortable bed and effective AC in the bedroom. Plenty of space. A great location in the old town with easy walking access to loads of good restaurants and bars, but also close to the more modern marina and its restaurants. It seems very secure with the lock system of the building generally. Lots of interesting books on Sicily spread around the place. Francesca was extremely helpful.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Daniela und ihrer Cousine Cinzia! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, zentral gelegen und alles Nötige – Supermarkt, Restaurants und Märkte – war direkt ums Eck. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die unkomplizierte und sehr freundliche Kommunikation der beiden. Eine kleine Reparatur an der Klimaanlage haben sie uns frühzeitig mitgeteilt, uns für die Unannehmlichkeit eine Nacht erlassen und uns sogar mit Wein und Keksen überrascht – ein wirklich aufmerksamer und großzügiger Zug! Die Dachterrasse war ein echtes Highlight. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank, Daniela und Cinzia!

Wish we could stay longer and hope we can come back! Spectacular outlook from this beautiful place. So much history! It was the perfect base and easy access by foot to any sights. Peaceful yet you felt in the thick of colourful Palermo also. Kind and friendly host. Just book!!!!

Ich denke ich werde meinen ganzen Urlaub nicht mehr so eine schöne Wohlfühloase finden wie bei Antonella über den Dächern von Palermo. Nur wegen ihrer wundervollen Lage lädt ihre super eingerichtete Küche, wo es an nichts fehlt, zum Selbstkochen ein, nur um den Palermo Zauber im privaten allein über den Dächern genießen zu können. Ich als allein reisende Frau fühlte mich in der gesamten Umgebung absolut sicher. Der Hafen und die via Emanuel laden auch Nachts um 22 Uhr für einen kleinen Verdauungsspaziergang ein. Es gibt's viele Restaurant und Bars und einen schönen Platz direkt 2 min fußläufig. Traumhaft. Antonella ist super lieb und schreibt gefühlt innerhalb zwei Sekunden zurück. Vielen Dank für alles! Komme ich wieder Mal nach Palermo schlafe ich nur bei Antonella. Das ist klar;)

Loved the bright, airy, comfortable and well designed duplex flat with uber slow elevator to top floor! The street is very ‘rough’ pavement-wise and at a cross section with an abandoned building - off putting at first but Bianca’s place is truly a refuge from the grittier albeit fascinating side of Palermo. Everything you’d want to visit is within reach by foot. I am a solo traveler , 70 yrs old who would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay in a great location! Chiara was super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and areas to explore. The air con and doors muted any noise from outside and made it a lovely stay in such a central part of the old town. The little balcony got a great amount of sun and was the perfect spot for a morning coffee. Certainly would recommend this airbnb!

Exceptional apartment, walking distance to all the sights and food. Very comfortable place with everything you would need. And yes the balcony view was fantastic, especially early morning and sunset. Antonio was a great host, reliable and communicated promptly. Palermo is a vibrant city and we loved it! Love to come back and stay again!

Dario was the best host ever. He was always willing to help and was flexible. The place is GORGEOUS! You basically have your own private villa. Close to Mondello beach where the sights are incredible and night life is crazy. It was a cozy spot, but had a classic Italian touch to it. I would highly highly recommend staying here. It was worth every penny.

A tranquil oasis of a place set in beautiful gardens, a fantastic pool and with very welcoming and generous hosts. We, a family of 4, spent 5 nights here in July and had a wonderful time. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance but having a car in the July heat made everything a good bit more comfortable. Highly recommend.

We were a family of seven, grandparents, parents, three very active boys (ages 6-12). The owner and his wife were gracious hosts, greeting us with Easter time treats. The house and gardens are even more impressive than the description. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchens were well-equipped. We had a mishap and the host generously helped to solve it. You must have a car. The host can recommend excellent beaches and fun things to do We would love to return.

Beautiful, comfortable modern accomodation

We had a beautiful, amazing stay! We started off our trip in Catania area and finished it here. It’s only a couple min ride from the airport which was great for us since we flew out of Palermo. The home looked just like the photos. In fact, the yard/pool even looked bigger in real life. We couldn’t use the pool because it rained a bit during our stay, but it was super clean/we still had a blast and enjoyed sitting outside when it stopped raining. We traveled with 4 young children and they absolutely loved the play area on the lawn. That was such a nice added bonus. Home was spotless and had enough space to fit our group of 12. PLENTY of extra blankets and linen. Each room had AC which was nice too. Host was very responsive and great at communicating! We didn’t have any issues finding the home and we were greeted upon arrival with some yummy pies and snacks. So grateful we found this gem.
