Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Modica

Ontzettende aanrader, Als je van ruimte, vrijheid, vriendelijke host en privé houd. Dit was voor ons de perfecte uitvals basis om vervolgens de prachtige stranden te bezoeken en de omgeving te ontdekken. Nog geen 10/12 min vanaf het strand en terugkomen op een vrijstaand huis met geweldig uitzicht. Wij verbleven hier mid Juni. Wat qua temperatuur nog net te doen was in de nacht. Wij als Hollanders hadden het wellicht te warm gevonden in augustus. Al met al een geweldige plek wat meer dat je geld waard is. 10/10!

Adriana è stata super gentile e disponibile, l'alloggio è confortevole e silenzioso, ha una terrazza che è mozzafiato, è stato davvero un peccato passarci solo una notte. Consigliatissimo.

Villa Sorelle was a wonderful stay! It does not have close neighbors, so was peaceful and private, but also is only a short drive into Pozzallo which is a lovely sea front town. The pictures accurately show it, nicely updated, clean, and with nice pillows and cushions throughout. The host also arranged a lovely crib and high chair for us. Highly recommend!

Für unseren Geschmack das schönste Airbnb in dem wir je waren! Wunderschön und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit Garten, wo wir – auf der Terrasse sitzend oder in der Hängematte liegend – viel Zeit verbracht haben. Man lebt mitten auf dem Land umgeben von toller Landschaft, unzähligen zwitschernden Vögeln, Hunden, Katzen und Hühnern (die wir jeden Tag gefüttert haben). Mit dem Auto ist man in 10 Minuten am Strand, die umliegenden Städtchen (Scicli, Modica, Ragusa) sind ebenfalls nur zwischen 10 und 30 Minuten entfernt und wirklich alle einen Besuch wert. Charlie war ein sehr lieber, sympathischer Gastgeber, der uns mit vielen guten Tipps versorgt hat und auch sonst sehr zuvorkommend war. Wir waren knapp zwei Wochen bei ihm und wären gerne noch länger geblieben!

Biagio bietet eine sehr schöne Unterkunft an und war jederzeit erreichbar. Ich durfte 6 Tage in seinem Haus verbringen und habe jeden einzelnen genossen. Am meisten gefielen mir lange Nächte im Whirlpool oder auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf die Altstadt. Die Innenstadt war sehr belebt und bietet gute Restaurants. Abschließend kann man sagen das sich ein Besuch Lohnt.

A BEAUTIFUL AND MEMORABLE STAY! My friend and I couldn’t recommend Anna’s place enough! From the moment Anna greeted us on arrival until we left she was such a warm, welcoming and friendly host. The living area in the historic farmhouse building is so rustic and interesting and it has been thoughtfully decorated with love and an appreciation for the beautiful surroundings. And speaking of the setting!…The view across the valley is beautiful and the plants, trees and landscaping made our stay feel so special. This is a real escape into nature. Just sit and watch the sunset with a glass of local wine and a book! One highlight was absolutely the Sicilian pasta making experience. Anna was so knowledgeable about the gastronomic history of the region, as well as the pasta making itself of course! We had local cheeses and honey from the property too! I would encourge anyone visiting to take part in these unique experiences. We would love to visit again! X

Don’t miss this amazing dinner spot! Good deli & fruit stand near the other end of pier. Livia very helpful & responsive host. I’d come here again for sure!

Der Garten von Gioacchino ist ein kleines Paradies. Sowohl für unsere Tochter als auch für uns war es spannend und schön, die Früchte zu entdecken und reifes Obst und Gemüse zu ernten und zu essen. Morgens ging es zum Hühnerstall, abends haben wir den Bio-Müll zu den Schweinen gebracht. Dazwischen ging es in den Pool oder zum Spielplatz. Das Haus ist gut durchdacht – es ist alles da, was man braucht. Und ein bisschen mehr (Zitronenpresse, Pürierstab etc.) Fußläufig ist ein toller Obststand, an dem man auch Backwaren kaufen kann. Ein paar Meter weiter ist der öffentliche Strand. Der ist leider voll und nicht sauber. Der Strand im Naturgebiet ist eher zu empfehlen. Dafür muss man aber einen Fußmarsch in Kauf nehmen. Der lohnt sich aber. Lido di Noto, Noto und die umliegenden Städtchen sind tolle Urlaubsorte und das Haus von Gioacchino eine Empfehlung. Er selbst ist sehr freundlich und kann stolz auf das sein, was er dort geschaffen hat. Danke nochmal für den Honig und die Papaya!

This place is paradise! The property is amazing, the apartement was perfect and the location is great to explore the area with beautiful beaches and citys. The hosts were very nice and gave us helpful recommendations. We loved our time here. 100% recommend!

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villadamuri 10 gg nel mese di Giugno con un gruppo di amici. La casa e’ in una posizione unica sulla splendida e riservata spiaggia dell’ambra dove l’acqua e’ più calda che nelle altre spiagge. La casa e’ perfetta per una compagnia di amici e offre tutti i Comfort di una casa vacanza.Un grazie particolare ai proprietari Viviana ed Orazio, sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Wonderful place. We enjoyed every minute of being there. We travel with two small kids, and Maria had a baby bath and even baby shampoo ready for us as well as some local citrus and chocolate for the kids. This type of thoughtfulness is hard to come by. The place itself was great. Super close to Modica and Ragusa. And the meat spot was spot on. We loved the salume we got there. Can highly recommend this place.

What a beautiful home. Adriana’s place is peaceful & with stunning views overlooking Scicli. The house is very well equipped, a great place to unwind & has everything you need for a great stay. The pool is just fabulous. We arrived late at night & had no food (there are no supermarkets open after 9pm locally) but Adrianna kindly let us use whatever we could find & a risotto was rustled up. Coffee, milk, toast & marmalade are provided for breakfast the first day which is thoughtful. Scicli is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our morning coffee in Chiosco 'a Funtana which has the best coffee ever - a gorgeous spot. Fresh fish from the local fishmonger is highly recommended too and the little vegetable kiosks by the coffee spot & fishmonger have every delicious vegetable you might need. Thanks Adrianna for being a super responsive & kind host.

Giuliana was a wonderful host – warm, welcoming, and always discreet. Her beautiful Shanti is a truly special place: the house is stunning, peaceful, and the pool adds a magical touch. We felt at home from the very first moment. Giuliana was always available with helpful suggestions and made our stay in Sicily even more enjoyable. Her kindness and care made a real difference. This has been a holiday we will always remember with joy. Thank you, Giuliana, from all of us – we hope to return soon to this little oasis of peace.

We had a wonderful stay in this house. We almost felt we were part of a movie! The pool, the setup, the Fire place at night, everything was perfect! It was very quiet with all the ameneties we needed. Fabio and Alessia were absolutely lovely, they answered quickly and provided everything we needed, and more. The house is remote but very close to beautiful cities, beaches and services. We could not recommend more this airbnb. Thank you for everything!

The whole team were really helpful and responsive. The villa and especially the garden are fantastic, as is the town of Scicli. The sound proofing between the two bedrooms isn’t good which is just something to be aware of if you value your privacy. Overall I would definitely recommend this villa!

My wife and I traveled to Ortigia with our daughter for her 25th birthday. This home checked all the boxes when we booked it. Location on the water, nice modern home, walking distance to everything we wanted to see. But, when we got there, it was so much more amazing than we could have imagined. The home is beautiful - on the water with a stunning rooftop deck and amazing sunsets. Its situated right in the heart of Ortigia next to Fountain Arethusa. Walk out the front door onto the cobble streets to restaurants, coffee bars, shops. Turn right and walk a few minutes to Castello Maniace. Turn left and walk a few minutes to the Piazza Duomo. Yolande was an amazing host. Communication was great. Answered all my questions and helped find us a driver for the week which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our driver, Beppe, was born in Ortigia and taught us more about Sicily during our car rides than any guide we could have round. Grazie Yolande!

Thank you so much for such a warm and welcoming stay! From the moment we arrived, Guiseppe made us feel completely at home - meeting us in person and even helping with parking on a busy road was so kind and above and beyond. We truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches, from the treats left for us to the fresh fruit, it was a real taste of Sicilian hospitality! Guiseppe was always available and made everything feel easy and relaxed. The terrace was absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset, and the peaceful surroundings made it a perfect place to unwind. We also loved how close it was to the centre of Noto, just a short walk to great restaurants and the charming old town. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would wholeheartedly recommend staying here to anyone.

What a gem!! Francesco’s and Marilena’s apartment is simply amazing. It is well equipped, has everything needed (and more), such a cosy place. We felt home the second we moved in there. Delicious restaurants are in walking distance, also there’s enough street parkings close by, if you have a rental car. Within short drives you can reach various beaches/other towns. We also appreciated the restaurant/beach/visit recommendations by the hosts. We’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone, it’s the perfect place to explore Noto and the surrounding area.

Wunderschön und zentral gelegen, von der grosszügigen Terrasse hat man sogar Fenster, welche einen Einblick in die Kirche nebenan gewähren. Mit etwas Glück findet man eine Parklücke gleich in der Strasse vor dem Eingang. Die Ausstattung ist sehr luxuriös mit sehr schöner Kunst von Sizilien und auch Duftspender und Seife von Ortigia Sicilia. Im Haus hat es mehrere Wohnungen, die von Claudio ist im obersten Stock aber es hat kaum Schrittschalldämmung, man hört die Nachbarn sehr gut, wenn sie nach Hause kommen. Ich kann die Unterkunft allen nur wärmstens empfehlen, dichter am Vibe von Noto kommt man nicht und mit dem Auto ist man schnell in den Nachbarorten oder am Strand.

Auf dem tollen Gelände - großer Garten mit alten Bäumen, oberhalb der Cava d'Ispica, stehen zwei Ferienhäuser. Wir haben in dem größerem der beiden Häuser gewohnt. Das Haus, ein renoviertes Landestypisches Steinhaus, ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Über Gewürze, Öl, Essig bis zum Wasch- und Spülmittel. Es gibt schöne, schattige Terrassen um das Haus herum und einen tollen Ausblick über die Cava. Auch den Strand und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht man mit dem Auto in 30-60 Minuten. Marcello ist absolut hilfsbereit, immer erreichbar und antwortet sehr schnell. Alles lief perfekt und reibungslos ab. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen bestimmt nocheinmal wieder.

What a beautiful place this was! Me and my friends were visiting Sicily for the first time and we loved how welcoming and nice David & Vanessa were. Our accommodation was super comfortable and the views!! To die for. We loved walking around the garden, chilling by the pool, trying the homemade breakfast Vanessa made for us and visiting the towns nearby (especially Ilba!). Would definitely recommend.

Wir hatten zu dritt (mit einem 4-jährigen Kind) eine wunderschöne Zeit in Paolas Haus. Diese Gegend von Sizilien ist schon seit Jahren unsere liebste wegen der Nähe zu Scicli, Modica und wunderbaren Stränden, der tollen Landschaft und wegen des Klimas. Paolas Haus hat einen fantastischen, knackig-grünen Garten mit einer Spielecke für Kinder, alles sehr schön und gut gepflegt. Die Küche ist auch ganz gut ausgestattet, wir haben viel gekocht. Innen alles sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Paola selbst war leicht zu erreichen und extrem freundlich. Ich kann dieses Haus nur sehr weiter empfehlen. Besonders wichtig: Man ist komplett für sich, bekommt wenig von den Nachbarn mit (außer einem romantischen Hahnenschrei ab und zu), hat einen großen Außenbereich und ist in einer Viertelstunde an den schönsten Stränden. Phänomenal! Wir kommen wieder!
