Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mineral County

Our first trip to Deep Creek Lake and the perfect getaway from the DMV for a long weekend. Lots to do there, great places to eat, and the property was fantastic!

This was a great location for our family. Plenty of space in bedrooms, common area, deck and yard. It was a confortable stay for 10 people. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for the cool evenings. The lake access is a bit of a walk and requires passes. There are people who drive around checking for them. Make sure to follow the guidelines in the house binder and you'll have a great trip!

A perfect, rustic and cozy cabin the heart of Deep Creek. The cabin was adorable and quaint, in a beautiful, private setting. It had all the things we needed, made even cozier by a light snow falling outside the night of our arrival. A 20 minute drive to Wisp and after hitting the slopes all day, it was lovely to come back to the cabin for a soak in the hot tub and a roaring fire. Just a perfect trip :)

Rustic place covered by the forest and next to an awesome stream. This was our 3rd visit to this peaceful place - natural surroundings have a healing effect here. It feels very safe and has all basic amenities that you could ask for in such a setting. Michael has everything planned out.

We had a great time with friends. Peaceful ambiance, meet our expectations, no cellular network, not a fancy restrooms though if you like to stay in the woods in a quiet environment, this is the place.

My fiance and I had an AMAZING time here this past weekend, such a beautiful hidden gem. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek and walking around the woods in the morning. You can tell the place is well loved and run by genuine people. Theres so much to explore around and we were given a whole list of places to visit! Already planning more trips to come visit again!

This is a gorgeous river house! Sitting on the deck for morning coffee right next to the river was phenomenal! Mike was very helpful, always responsive with any questions. The kitchen was well stocked. We went to a music festival in Cumberland. Mike gave us perfect directions, very easy to find. Would recommend Mike and his beautiful home 100%!

My fiancé and I stayed here with our 3 dogs on a trip to hiking some of the best sights in eastern WV. This place is a true treat and I hope is around for many many years to come. We’d love to come back in the summer and enjoy some of the many swimming holes along the creek. We had a slight issue in the beginning but Michael was responsive quickly and worked to quickly resolve. Abrams creek is a perfect little hole in the wall, truly private and secluded place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hermitage. We are very familiar with the area. We have a family home one block away & have outgrown that home for an annual family long weekend, thus my husband and I now need to rent a home to accommodate that issue. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers & a 1 month-old baby. The home was spacious & we were able to spread out. It was nicely appointed & the descriptions of things provided and things you should bring was helpful & accurate. We enjoyed all of the games provided. Came in handy on a rainy day. Tons of water toys for the lake were excitedly found by our 2.5 year old granddaughter. She loved playing with some of them at the lake. The deck is so spacious & we enjoyed spending time out there after the rain let up. We are a very active family & enjoyed walking to the sandy beach & all around Sky Valley and Thousand Acres...such a lovely location & very close to our hearts (we've been coming since the 90's). We will rent this home again next year!

My husband and I were looking to spend a relaxing weekend away with our dog, and the “Maine retreat” fit the bill perfectly. The cabin is on a quiet cul de sac in a peaceful area yet just minutes away by car to local activities, restaurants etc..Cabin was clean and thoughtfully stocked with anything you might need! I noticed they even had birthday candles!

This has been my 4th or 5th stay at one of Mikes cabins on the savage and it’s always a pleasure. The area is just downright beautiful, and the property is everything you can ask for. Mike and the guys at the fly shop are always very helpful with anything ya need.

This property is beautiful and we loved our stay. Michael was responsive, flexible, and kind.
