Cottage holiday rentals in Mediterranean Sea

If I could move in here permanently, I would. What a gorgeous stay with responsive and respectful hosts. Everything was as described, the hot tub was glorious, and we loved looking through the binder of photos of painstaking restoration over the years.

We had a wonderful week in Gloria's house. Our four-legged friend also felt totally comfortable in nature. The house is small but nice and has everything you need. The property is a nice size and is perfect for eating outside, relaxing in the hot tub or just lying in the sun. The way to the house is a little challenging, but with a normal car and a little driving experience it can be mastered. Gloria was always available to us and gave us good excursion tips for the area in advance. Even with any inquiries, she always reacted very quickly and helped us. It is perfect for simply getting out and enjoying the nature and tranquility of Tuscany. We will be happy to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Farfaglia— the space is gorgeous inside and out, and it was the perfect place to unwind at the end of our trip after lots of travel and bustle. Thank you Fabio for being so communicative, kind, and warm. We truly felt welcomed and taken care of, and will long remember the bounty of wildflowers, our adorable cow neighbors, and the pleasure of slowing down in such a beautiful setting.

The house is an absolute dream! We spent 1 wonderful week with our two Ridgeback ladies. The host is very hospitable and accommodating. A bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us at the reception, which we immediately enjoyed in the beautiful garden. The first dinner was also provided, as well as breakfast. The garden with the pool is simply fantastic. The two dogs also felt very comfortable and could play freely in the completely fenced garden. The house is very well maintained down to the smallest detail. Due to the seclusion and tranquility in the place, we were able to relax here. Le Mas de l’Estel is a perfect place for a larger gathering in the heart of the southern Luberon. The property is a perfect haven of peace, beauty and comfort. It is a stunning conversion and the attention to detail is second to none. The gardens surrounding the property are superb. They have been beautifully designed and are maintained to perfection. It was a joy to wake up to such beauty every morning. You can walk to either Ansouis or Cucuron (30 mins) for perfect Provençal hilltop village experiences, or use the bikes provided instead. We enjoyed the pools while admiring the view of the Grand Luberon hills. Our party also enjoyed the range of activities available at the property, including boules and giant chess. Thank you to Morgane and Christophe for sharing Le Mas de l’Estel with us. We appreciated the very warm welcome, local tips and the wonderful local treats provided in Morgane’s welcome basket. We could not have been happier with our stay and would love to return.

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Falcon’s Nest is by far our favourite stay of all the Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The accommodation is beautiful and peaceful; a quiet beach close by and we were content. Our interactions with the owners were friendly and generous. We couldn’t ask for better

Lovely and magical spot in a unique cove on Mallorca’s magical west side. The drive down isn’t for the faint of heart, but I quite enjoyed it. We loved walking into the port to eat or enjoy sunset. Also, the outdoor spaces are incredible!

Staying at Caterina and Francesco’s home in Nicosia was one of the most special experiences of our trip to Sicily. The house itself was cozy, welcoming, and full of charm — but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of their family. One of the absolute highlights was being invited by Caterina’s and Francesco’s wonderful parents to learn how to cook a traditional Sicilian three-course dinner. Not only did they patiently teach us step-by-step, but we also got to share the meal together, creating memories we’ll treasure forever. It was an experience filled with kindness, laughter, and incredible food — truly a taste of real Sicilian hospitality. We felt like part of the family and left with full hearts (and full stomachs!). If you're looking for authentic culture, genuine connection, and a truly local experience, this is the place to be. Thank you, Caterina, Francesco, and family — we can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time at Tom's! The house is lovingly furnished, super clean and totally cozy – especially the two fireplaces make it really cozy on cool days. The location is fantastically quiet with great views, which we enjoyed every day from the terrace. It was particularly nice that we could watch the animals from the terrace - cows, sheep, cats and many birds. Communication with Tom was great, uncomplicated and very friendly. Ideal for relaxing and hiking. We will be happy to come back!

This place was the perfect start to our trip through Bosnia-Herzegovina. Not only did we have a great time in the comfortable accommodation with its enchanting natural surroundings, but we also got to know two great people in Jasmin and Elvira. Highly recommended!

Luis place is special while located in a peaceful area, where you can take beautiful nature walks. Luis is a wonderful host and handles at the village some unique artist projects which are fascinating. Arantxa and her daughter welcomed us warmly while arriving, and cared that we shall feel at home. It was a wonderful stay.

Great accommodation with plenty of space and a large garden. Our highlight was the evenings on the terrace in front of the house. Entrance for the car directly in front of the house. Located directly on the street, yet quiet at night.

The cottage fit 6 of us comfortably! Roberto and Alessio were responsive and gave excellent suggestions for places to visit/eat. We were spoiled being on the doorstep of the nature preserve and visited a few times during our stay. Recommend without reservation.

We had a lovely stay at the Petros and Clives Shepherds Hut. They provided a very warm welcome and gave local recommendations. the location is stunning and private. Amazing home in a beautiful place! Unforgettable

The most wonderful stay ~ peaceful, wholesome & authentic. The house has been renovated to an incredible standard - it’s beautiful. We liked the remoteness of it & the booklet of recommendations was very helpful. The one minor negative was that the pool wasn’t that clean, but despite this, we would love to visit again.

We had a lovely stay. Rafaellas house really is a nice place and the house and area perfect for relexation. The nearest town, san giorgio, was a bit too "slow" for our taste but the area has nice places reachable by car.

Tanja was an amazing host. The property was everything we hoped for and more. We did a lot of hiking and really enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the view with a glass of wine. I would say this has been one of my favorite properties.

We had a great 10 day stay at Stone Lake Cottage. Everything was just as we expected - peaceful surroundings, great view, all we needed in the cottage, really helpful and responsive host. We loved exploring the local village and were made to feel welcome in the local bar, restaurant, café and taverna 😊 There are bus services to the main towns but we found a car very useful to explore the wider island. We thoroughly recommend Peter's property.
