Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Matera

The apartment is as described, very clean. The welcome is very friendly. Breakfast (free) is very hearty. Good bedding. The small town has a very beautiful abbey, we meet people who say "hello", a rather rare thing these days. Great stay, thanks to our host.

Dario and his mother are lovely, very attentive and helpful hosts. Communication is exemplary and cordial. The villa is a nice cottage on a small park-like property in a guarded large holiday complex, the Borgo. Within a 50 km radius, you will find many worthwhile destinations. We would gladly come back.

It’s a gem, this appartment. Quiet with a fabulous roofterrace and in about 30 Minutes you are in Matera. Owners are quick responders and gave us usefull (diner)suggestions.

Complete, spacious and comfortable accommodation. Quiet place with private protected parking. Ideally located to visit the old town of Matera (5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot for the brave). Nino helped us a lot by providing us with a map of the city with the must-see places. Very accommodating host who welcomed us before the scheduled check-in time.

The location of Flavia's place is incredible and the space itself- wow! To stay in an actual cave is a step back in time, very special. It's spacious and everything was perfect. Flavia was the perfect host, responding quickly to everything we needed, providing local information and more. If you're coming to Matera, you need to stay in this special cave home.

We stayed at the Mascagni Suite and can only leave a positive review! The suite is a little gem in the heart of Sannicandro: cared for in every detail, elegant and at the same time cozy. Impeccable cleanliness, comfortable bed, and all the comforts available. The host was very kind and very helpful, always responsive. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home here. Maria was the kindest, most thoughtful host we have ever come across on Airbnb. She gave us fantastic local recommendations for drinks and food, made us delicious pastries to enjoy at the start of our stay, and was always there to help us. The property was beautiful, even better than the pictures. We couldn’t recommend staying here more and would give the property 10 stars if we could!

The apartment is very spacious and pleasantly cool, and an excellent base for visiting Matera and Gravina. It is located on the edge of the cozy centro storico of Altamura. Annamaria and Antonio are perfect hosts, helpful and have plenty of tips for restaurants and attractions. An absolute must!

This is an accommodation where I felt at home for 3 nights and 4 days. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, and the bathroom was very clean. They even prepared enough fruit and water coffee sweets, so I enjoyed it during my stay.

Anna Elena was immediately hospitable, helpful and very friendly. The place is exactly as described, very clean and in a quiet and airy area. For us, the location was very convenient to reach the various neighboring countries from Matera to the coast. Absolutely positive experience.

We spent 5 days in the accommodation. It is located in the quiet countryside, and above all perfect for shining throughout the tourist sites of the region. The place is quite recommendable for a family of 4 (I had read in a review that it was a little small for a family of four but it is not). Well equipped kitchen, everything was good for us, I would take over this accommodation without hesitation!

The stay at Masseria Giulia was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a beautiful Apulian farmhouse, excellently furnished and equipped with all comforts. Rich in many outdoor spaces where you can relax and have pleasant moments of conviviality. The location is particularly interesting, as it allows you to easily reach the most beautiful places in Puglia. Germano then proved to be always available and very helpful with his advice. Ultimately, I highly recommend 'Masseria Claudia' as an ideal solution for a stay in Puglia.

Honestly it was one of the best apartment I have ever stayed in. Beach over the street, cool outside shower, lovely interior with a mix of old charmful furnitures and modern elements, privacy but with the italian atmosphere around. The host was super cool and all the time available. I would recommend everyone to stay here.

It's a perfect place to stay for big group. Large kitchen, dining area and living hall. Giovanni had been a great host. Prepare breakfast every morning and responsive host. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Matera & Alberobello area.

Marco's place is one of the best Airbnb's we have stayed in over the last 20 or so years. The place is very special in Italy, with wonderful architecture. The house itself is super well maintained with everything you need - absolutely worth the price. Plus it is not one of those sterile hotel-like places, but a wonderful family home perfectly prepared for guests. Marco and his wife gave us a special reception, and even brought is some (very nice) food as we arrived at an ungodly hour. Some of the major sites, such as Matera or the Trulli are an hour's drive, but it was well worth it for being able to come back to this house. The coast is a wonderful pristine dune stretching into the endless distance. Don't hesitate for a second if you are thinking about booking! We hope to stay again , and thank you!
