Holiday rentals with beach access in Matagorda Bay

This place was amazing. Clean, had everything we needed and not far from the beach. My husband and I try to get to Matagorda once a year, Matt & Suzie's Studio space will be our go to place.

Always quick to respond and any issues I had were handled in a timely manner. Would definitely stay again!

The place was clean and very easy to get to. It was only a short drive from everywhere we needed to go! Very quiet and just what we needed for a mini vacation!

We absolutely love staying at The Mark in Surfside. We will be back every year, and hopefully a couple of times a year if possible!!!!

We loved our stay at the beach house! It was a perfect location right across from the beach. Some of our party went fishing, while the rest of us stayed at the house and enjoyed the views. They had tons of beach stuff and fun games in the garage, so that was a bonus!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beachfront Airbnb! The location was absolutely perfect — right on the beach with stunning ocean views that we enjoyed every morning and evening. It was peaceful, relaxing, and just what we were hoping for. What made this stay even more special was the host’s personal touch. We were celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday, and the host went out of their way to make it memorable by putting up a “Happy Birthday” banner just for her. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel incredibly welcome and appreciated. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. The master bedroom bed was so comfortable and had amazing views to wake up to. We can’t thank the host enough for their hospitality and attention to detail. Great place right on the water with private dock. Fished the whole time plenty of space for a group with lots to do would book again 100%

Close to beach, reasonably priced, nice house layout with a bathroom for each bedroom, would stay again.

Great communication from the host. Very helpful. Beautiful home and wonderful location. Lots of property. Lots of beautiful nature. Lots of parking. Great outdoor space. Everything you could need for a wonderful stay.

The cleaning crew had not cleaned and prepped the house before our arrival, but it was taken care of with swift action and I was compensated adequately. I would recommend this as a good place to stay.

This was our second time visiting. Great location, clean home, amenities were as described and more. Also, great local beaches for kids to swim and fish.

Adorable beach house in THE BEST location!! Literally a walk through the backyard and over a bridge through the dunes to the beach!! Loved that we shared this area with a few families that rented on the same row. Almost like having a private beach at times. The host was always super friendly in her communication! Will definitely consider rebooking this property if ever back in Surfside 🏖️

What a great view, you just step down from the house to enjoy the beach, super convenient:) Being able to hear the ocean was amazing, deck space is huge and private, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location!! Close to places to walk too on the beach. WiFi worked perfectly and there was just enough of everything for the weekend. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a great stay at Nana’s getaway! The beach was right by the condo and the balcony had wonderful ocean views. Ashley was very kind and responsive – highly recommend!

Thank you for such a wonderful weekend. My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was a beautiful way to celebrate. We work many hours a week and we were thinking of coming at least once a month to release stress in this spectacular place, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. Everything has been too spectacular: the location, the view of the ocean, the proximity of the beach, the distribution of the spaces, everything has been excellent. Thank you!

Love staying here when we go to Surfside. We have stayed at this address 3 times now in 2 different units. No shoes necessary to get to beach! Walk down the stairs from the unit, and you are on the beach. We always stay in the lower units … not the top ones. The porches on the lower units get the shade from the units above them. The kitchen supplies aren’t great. We bring our own sharp knives, frying pan and ziplock bags or storage containers. The space is minimal and functional. Just what I want for the beach, frankly. Bed was really, really comfortable and we slept great each night. Great location. Best location on Surfside, IMO. The beach is much less crowded here compared to the locations closer to the bridge. And there are 2 restaurants walking distance as well as ice cream shop even closer. 979 properties is very responsive. Never had any problems with them.
