We enjoyed getting away for a few days. The cabin was perfect. It was peaceful and quiet with a very nice hot tub. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We relaxed at the cabin when we were not out hiking the many trails in the area or going downtown to eat at the restaurants near by. We also used the kitchen when we wanted to eat in. Again, it was the perfect getaway. We can’t wait to go back again.

This place is beautiful highly recommend I went away from my 26th birthday and I’m so glad that I picked this place such a calming getaway from 40+ hour work weeks the cabin is immaculate in the woods and extremely beautiful and relaxing. Ksenia is also really nice and super responsive and helpful. we honestly didn’t have to reach out much because she already thought of it all!

Perfect couples get away at a peaceful cabin. The dogs loved the sniffs. If your goal is relaxing on the deck in a remote cabin by the creek, this is a great spot.

This cabin is truly "a little bit of heaven" from the peaceful setting to the beauty of nature in early spring. We were able to fish as desired and rest and relax when at the cabin. Kitchen was fully equipped so meals at the cabin were easy. So quiet and swing on front porch set the mood for "front porch sitting".

Our stay was nothing short of magnificent! We really enjoyed the quiet scenery and beautiful weather! The cabin is small and intimate exactly what we were looking for on our little getaway(: the hot tub in the evening with the lights strung around really helped the romantic atmosphere. Our host was nothing short of welcoming and accommodating! Our grill didn’t work right on the first night and we came back from a day of adventure to a brand new grill on the back porch! Above and beyond could not have imagined a better place to unwind and quiet down the chaos of everyday life! We will most certainly be back (:

Amazing place. Quiet, peaceful, secluded in nature, and had everything we needed. We even saw deer and a bunny rabbit. It was the perfect vacation!

We have stayed in the village at Snowshoe for about 13 years. Wanted to try something different and Hickory Cabin was perfect! The cabin is literally minutes from the base of Snowshoe, away from the hustle bustle of the village and NO obnoxious noise from ski boots clomping down the hallway! We will be back!

Our second stay, this time for a minimoon after our wedding! The perfect escape for peace and quiet. The Tuckerman house feels like home and is instantly relaxing. Thanks Jarred!

We had an excellent vacation staying at Mark's cabin! The views from the cabin's large windows are breath taking!!! The cabin is so clean, with all the amenities provided for a relaxing time. His cabin was well organized and comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the rain in the evening, while playing board games there. The flickering of lightening bugs in the night as they lit up the mountains was beautiful. Mark was excellent with communication. The driving directions he gave were easy to follow, along with check in and check out information. We HIGHLY recommend staying at his cabin: called "Against the Wind."

Beautiful secluded cabin with all you need for a rustic getaway. Loved the seclusion and the sound of the stream out back. Quick drive to snowshoe for skiing. The road to get there was a bit more rural than we expected but the cabin was lovely.

I would like to preface by saying that this location was perfect. We had everything we needed right in the middle of the appalachian mountains. We loved everything about our experience. The following are just some observations and notes from an experienced travel planner. Camp Holly has a lot of work to do. It looks like in one point of time, a lot of love went into the place and the funds were allocated to do so. Keep going. A lot of money was wasted on glamping tents that are now absolutely destroyed. They are not meant to be all weather. I do not feel like the upkeep of the property can be handled with one person, you need a team of people. That is too much on one person. This place has so much potential. The location is perfect, excluded and private. Everyone was so nice. Always checked if we needed anything. Super helpful. Wifi was a struggle the first day working from the cabin but that was fixed. 10/10 I would stay as often as I could. So Peaceful. The diner was YUM!

Such a beautiful location, building and great hosts! The cabin was wonderful with great cooking utensils, pans, coffee maker and all the items needed. George and Kathy are lovely people. You won’t go wrong booking this escape! Thank you so much!

Tony's cabin is an awesome place to book. My wife and I booked this for a golf trip to play the Raven. From the house, it's exactly 10 minutes to the clubhouse, and 8 minutes of that is a gravel road. We seen 2 other vehicles on our drive in and out over 3 days. The cabin itself is very nice. Very clean and Tony offered about anything you might need. There was anything you needed in the kitchen to cook with. He's got spices, foil, extra propane, extra anything. There is wifi at the cabin and we were able to use WIFI calling. DirecTV to see the ballgame in the evening. He even provides the firewood to build a campfire at night. There is no air conditioning (common in the climate of Snowshoe) and we had no problems getting a breeze going with the windows open to keep it comfortable in June. Tony was very flexible with the check in and check out, even offering us a few extra hours if need be to be out. Only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will be back in the fall to do it again!

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

Our family loved this cabin and all the porches with places to sit and enjoy the sunset and fog rising from the valleys. Everything was perfect! Once you get used to the road and learn the short cut it’s easy to manage. Great water pressure and clean outside and in, beautifully maintained and landscaped. We also found the antiques and their descriptions interesting and thoughtful. We also were very comfortable with the furniture and bedding. Also, part of the decor was repurposed lighting and functional pieces, which was also appreciated and showed a proactive respect for the environment. Charlie, was very informative, knowledgeable and timely with all correspondence. Thank you for the stay!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

I absolutely loved my stay here. What a peaceful, serene, and beautiful area. The cabin was perfect - exactly as described and shown in the photos. Lisa was a responsive host, and was patient and helpful in finding my way to the resort - through the dark and snow lol. I definitely recommend this place - especially if you're looking for a quiet retreat from the usual buzz of our tech-filled daily life.

We went for snow and were not disappointed. It was so fun gliding down the hills just outside the door. You must know if you go in the winter, you need 4wd and it helps to be comfortable with winter driving conditions. lol I was so nervous as a Ga girl! Also, if you want to go up to Snowshoe, take the shuttle. That’s the only place there’s anything to do. EXCEPT the Kickin Chicken… Good food! We had a great time!

This is a beautiful cabin in the mountains of Highland County, Virginia that was everything we hoped for an more. Our primary goal was to get away from the noise and lights of the city and this place delivered. It was so dark we could see more starts than I have seen in a very long time. It was so, so quite as well. The hiking trail and the fire pit were an added bonus that helped us enjoy our time there even more. We can't wait to go back again in the summer or fall.

It was a great weekend in the mountains of West Virginia. The cabin is perfect, clean and cozy and the surrounding outdoors are so tranquil and relaxing. Was a great weekend out of Baltimore/D.C. we can’t wait to come back. So grateful to Max for his responsiveness for any questions or help.

This place was perfect for our family trip to visit Smoke Hole Caverns, see Seneca Rocks, Ride the train at Cass, and do the Green Bank tour. It was clean and well appointed. The sleeping arrangements, full kitchen, and having 2 full bathrooms made it great for our large family. We hope to return.
