Secluded hillside cottage, ideal romantic hideaway

VictoriaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent a long weekend here with our three dogs - it’s a wonderful, peaceful, location with plenty nearby walks and only a 10min drive to Crieff where there are local shops and Scotland’s oldest distillery, Glenturret. We had glorious weather (21 sunshine) and made use of the BBQ, outdoor gardens, and hot tub in the evenings. The inside furnishings are full of colour and patterns, and stocked with plenty DVDs and board games to keep you entertained. One thing to note for those who may be looking to book with dogs - the garden is not fully secure as there is no main gate, and the property does boarder fields with livestock, and a few farm buildings which were being used during our stay. If your dog is reactive then this may not be the best location. Our dogs loved being out in the garden, exploring the area, and going on lead walks in the nearby areas (lots of walks are detailed in the host’s book). We’ll definitely be returning!

The Gardener’s Cottage with wood fired Hot Tub

SaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

Dog friendly, Country cottage with Hot tub

BettyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. This was our third place during our Scotland trip and I am so glad we booked it. It allowed us to explore more nature scenes across Scotland and simply have a safe and comfortable home after exploring all day. If we are ever in Scotland again, we will certainly book again.

Eagle's Rest, Geary, Isle of Skye

SavannahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I cant's sing enough praise of this place! It was the perfect, secluded, cute spot for us. we were welcomed with a basket full of local goodies, a "just married" banner as it was our honeymoon, just the cutest touches!! The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hikes. 3 nights wasn't enough here!! I would recommend this to anyone. A 45 minute drive to the main hikes in Skye, and just down the road from beaches and castles. The local lambs were an added bonus!!

4 bedroom country lodge with hot tub and sauna

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a brilliant stay! Andrew was a great host and he was there to answer any of our questions. The lodge, hot tub and sauna were lovely. It was a great location with being on a farm. We loved meeting the dogs and the donkeys. The lodge matched the photos and was nice and clean. The directions to get there were very clear and so it was easy to find. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Boutique Cottage for Two in Argyll

NellyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
It’s even more charming and peaceful than the pictures suggest. I loved every second in this cottage. The veranda had a pretty view over the landscape and the little garden area. You could hear the creek in the backyard and the birds sing. I LOVED the stone floor in the kitchen and bathroom area and the wooden flooring in the rest of the place. The bedroom and kitchen has high ceiling and skylights that leave room to breath (and think). And god, I loved the bathroom with the windows - taking a bath there is just as if you were in the middle of nature. The whole place is tastefully furnished and there is no clutter. Personally loved the kitchen (even the knifes were sharpened!). There are a few walking routes around the area and a village store nearby (although we went to a coop in Inverary that had everything we needed). Ross also helped out when we had a question and was super responsive — thanks again for this wonderful little oasis. I’ll certainly come back one day.

Gorgeous Rosemarkie Cottage

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Lonavla 2 Bedroom Cottage Lochyside Fort William

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great location and stay for us. We decided to travel without our car on train and public transport and bikes. Very easy from Fort William with a bus stop right outside Lonalva. Distillery and Highland soap workshop within 5/10 minute walk for the rainy days! Also recommend the Highland cinema in Fort William. House perfect for what we needed and beds very comfortable. Ann and her husband very helpful so thank you very much! Not at all surprised there’s hardly any availability now for much of the summer!!

Charming Riverside Cottage PK12190P

RhonaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This cottage fully deserves its star rating and one of the few we would visit again without hesitation. Very generous and tasteful accommodation for two, the welcome pack was a really lovely touch and the outside bath an unexpected treat looking over the fields and beautiful view. Have stayed at others designated rare gems before but this is the first to more than live up to that billing. The midday checkout on Sunday helped with the relaxation factor.

Cosy 2 bedroom cottage with woodburning stove

EvaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We spent a very nice week in the vacation home. If you are looking for seclusion and tranquility, this is the place for you. The house is very modern, beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced garden very much. Although dogs are allowed and blankets are also available for them, the house was very clean when we arrived. We can only recommend the property. But you should be aware that it is very remote. There are other houses around, but no real place or the like. On foot or by car you can reach great beaches, unfortunately we did not find real hiking trails, you usually walk along the road or through sheep pens (leash dogs!) A dream for a few days of togetherness and peace!

Idyllic Studio with sea loch views,Isle of Skye

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Joyce’s studio was a stunning place to stay. It’s near enough to local amenities and the key things to do on the Isle of Skye, whilst being off-grid for a private and special place to stay. The scenery is absolutely wonderful and the location is very quiet and idyllic. The space has been designed very well and we immediately felt at home. Very clean, great kitchen with all the required amenities and a good sized bathroom with a great shower. The bed was comfortable and lounge area was perfectly placed to look out over the loch. We would absolutely stay here again if ever back on the Isle of Skye.

Tidal Cottage On The Shore Isle of Skye

KirstyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A stunning location for this cottage. It was peaceful and has incredible views over the waters to the mountains. It was wonderful to see the tide come and go, we felt close to nature. The cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. There are games and books and enough for wood for your first night there. Underfloor heating was lovely and the fire heated the house really well to the point I needed to open the door to cool down - which is great to know you won’t be cold when you’re up there at the end of Autumn! Having a bath while looking out in the views to the mountains felt like a luxury.

Seashore cottage for two with amazing views

RonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fossil Cottage is an absolute gem! We loved our time there and cannot wait to go back. For us, it was all about the idyllic location, on top of which, the place is exactly as described: clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. Despite being slightly off the beaten track, it is only a short distance off the main road hence conveniently placed for the amenities in Broadford or Kyle as well as for exploring the rest of this wonderful island. Our thanks to Fiona for being a great host, we hope to see you again before too long.

Red Mountain Garden Cottage (Self Catering)

RosemaryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Red Mountain Cottage is a wonderful play to stay - great views across Loch Harport at both sunrise and sunset, well equipped and clean cottage, quiet location and we found it centrally located for all the hiking and sights we wanted to see. Can highly recommend booking a table in advance via email to eat at Elgol Bistro if heading that way, catching the Bella Jane boat from Elgol to hike above Loch Coruisk up Sgurr na Stri is a must!! Stunning views. Thank you so much Allan & Linda and we look forward to visiting again, there is still so much to do!!
