Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mälaren

We loved our stay at Mariana and Jonas’s peaceful farm just 15 minutes from the Stockholm airport—perfect for our family of five before our flight. Jonas was a wonderful host, showing us the horses, chickens, and even a runestone! Fresh eggs were a lovely touch. He also recommended a great lakeside restaurant in an old factory. A sunny, memorable end to our trip—highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at Susanna and Krister's listing. The decor was welcoming and beautifully curated. The outdoor spaces were little slices of heaven we were eager to enjoy. Susanna and Krister were lovely and attentive hosts and we would love to stay here again!

Fantastic welcome to the house where there were also beautiful tulips and waiting, a nice touch. Brilliant beautiful house fully equipped with everything we needed. Clean nice and just the environment we were hoping for. Looking out over beautiful surroundings morning and evening! It was an unexpectedly cold weekend when the house is nice to be inside and play games in and we especially appreciated the excursion to Väddö farm dairy with the children. Nice swimming area a short walk away!

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

The house is big and with all the facilities you need for a long or short stay. The place is beautiful, close to Sigtuna and many great sites. It was easy to find the house and get in, and we'd love the quiet neighbourhood. Magnus was extremely quick answering, and always with kindness. The best was looking at the sunset through the large living room's windows or from the terrace.

Just everything was great. Göran was one of the best host we ever had, very helpful and flexible. We could check in earlier without a problem. House is supperb. Everything works as you would expect. Souna is great with a beautiful view and relax room + shower :). You will just hear birds singing as there is a privat road that leads there. There is plenty of deer. Hoak flys above. I even spoted a fox when I went for a morning cikling.

Apartment as described and matched the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked for its size. Coffee included! Convenient Gamla Stan location - easy to walk across the river and on a quieter Gamla Stan street. Very close to palace. A nice bakery restaurant is at the end of the street by the water. Obviously keep in mind that it’s an old building as it lists, full of charm. Depending on your family’s preferences, do note that the bathroom is quite snug. Our children also slept on the couch in the living room but they did find the house was a bit creaky when our family member sleeping downstairs would need to use the spiral staircase near the couch to reach the bathroom at night. FYI, if you’re planning on sleeping on the couch but you’re a light sleeper. If you have mobility issues, this probably isn’t the right stay for you. Overall good stay and everything was as expected for a Gamla Stan apartment.

Wonderful views with character and charming features in a fantastic location, walking distance to everything. Apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. A great great host, very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Gamla Stan!

Great place close to Uppsala center. The unit is renovated very nicely and has cool modern interior with ample space for a family of four. Very comfortable beds as well! Definitely recommend.

Perfect as over-night accommodation when visiting relatives in the area. Great central location in Strängnäs. Parking on the street right next to the house was convenient.

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

The house has a wonderful location in the park area, in front of the Siemens Energy office, and it is not far from the town's centre. Plenty of nature and a big lake are nearby. In five minutes, by foot, you can reach the 17th-century Finspang Castle. The entrance to the house, as well as the car park, is very comfortable. The studio is truly unique – its history and interior are inimitable! And it is also very spacious, bright, and clean with a good view. The kitchen has everything you need and even more! I was amazed by the number of sets of dishes – you could always choose one to suit your mood and time of day. I really liked the veranda, where it was very pleasant to have breakfast and dinner with a view of the green lawn and the lake. In reality, the studio turned out to be better than the photos – after all, it is impossible to convey the atmosphere of lightness, comfort and relaxation in photos!

Celebrated my 60th birthday with the immediate family in this wonderful house, there was everything you needed to make dinner, etc., and that you can hang out together at the same time. The sauna was great and other decor. The location is quiet and peaceful. Very child friendly. Perfect for those of us who fished/pimpla

(6 adults, 12 days) House + surroundings are fantastic. More beautiful than in the photos. House + kitchen very well equipped. Large master bedroom (wardrobe, bathroom (double shower + bathtub) large bed + TV). 2nd room - nice bed, but no wardrobe, so also smaller. 3rd room has bunk bed and a 140 cm wide bed + dressing room. More like a children's room. We swapped rooms after a week. 2nd + 3rd shared bathroom (shower) + TV room House has large windows, is flooded with light + offers a breathtaking view of the lake. Large terrace with fireplace, grill and various furniture. Negative points: Some kitchen machines + grill were not clean, but this is more due to the previous visitors. The duvets and mattresses showed signs of use. Linda + Michael were always available + very accommodating. I can only recommend the accommodation + would like to spend my vacation there again. Tack så mycket!

The perfect stay for our little family. Annah and Alex were extremely kind and helpful throughout our whole stay. Our kids (2 and 4) had the absolute greatest time exploring the house, grounds, animals and activities. Couldn't recommend more!

We had a wonderful vacation here. The house is very nicely decorated and the view of the sea is simply fantastically beautiful. We felt very comfortable here and would come back here at any time. The house is in a quiet location and from here we took many excursions. The host was available at all times and responded very quickly. This was one of the best AirBnBs we ever stayed in. The beautiful setting, the great and well designed house, the greenhouse with fresh vegetables , the perfect fireplace and the small boat trips are only trumped by Johanness welcome and openness going out of his way to make sure we have the perfect escape. Beautiful location with great views from the house and sauna.

We had such a lovely stay. The house is beautiful - well cared for and wonderfully designed - and the panoramic view of the archipelago is amazing. We spent a few days just swimming from the private jetty and enjoying the view but the location is also a short drive to Nacka Strand, so we took the commuter ferry to visit Stockholm too. Chicki also particularly recommended the Artipelag gallery near Gustavsberg, so we had a lovely day there too, enjoying their sculpture trail through the forest by the sea. I would very much recommend this lovely Airbnb, its location and the helpful hosts.

We were so nicely received - everything was clean, well-ordered and it was really a nice gesture with freshly picked wild flowers in the vases. The house is secluded and was perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay. The view was fantastic and the surroundings so beautiful. We felt really welcome and hope to come back!
