Family-friendly holiday rentals in Makahuena Point

Veronica’s condo was exactly what we needed to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kauai! The location was our favorite aspect, you could get to each side of the island within an hour and we did so many activities that the location was perfect. The condo itself is exactly as described and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The sunrises from the beach right out front are gorgeous and we really enjoyed all the chickens running around. We would absolutely stay with Veronica again in Kauai.

The condo is in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, restaurants and such. Such a beautiful area to stay. The condo could use a little deep cleaning but I realize the housekeeper has limited amount of time between guests.

We loved our week spent here! It is the perfect size for a couple and has everything you need to enjoy a week on Kauai. Host was very responsive and proactive about informing us of all the details we needed to know about our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here, we’ll be back for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! Everything was exactly as described in the listing—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The space was perfect for me and my wife to relax and enjoy our time in Hawaii. It’s located in one of the best areas of Kauai—Princeville—which made it even more special. We felt right at home and appreciated all the small touches that made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained getaway!

The condo is in great location, nice clean beautiful garden, pool and beach. The walk along the beach to Hyatt and to Poipu beach are nice and great landscaping along the way. Only one thing that caught me unexpected is that I have to pay additional hotel fees for the front desk at check in ($1xx.xx) even though I thought I paid everything via airbnb site already. I should have asked Gordon about that, but I was in a rush and a hundred something for 7 nights is not too big so I was like... ok... and paid.

Annie and Greg, had amazing communication from prior to our stay until after our stay. They were very friendly and kind, answered any questions that we had, as well as responding very swiftly to things. There home was gorgeous, it had all the amenities you would need. If you needed anything else the grocery store was just up the street a quick walk or drive would it. My husband and I love staying in princeville when we go to kauai. We would absolutely stay here again, we loved their home. It was very clean and cozy. Even without AC the fans worked great and they also had an additional fan if you required extra air. the balcony had a great view too. We do wish we used the pool sooner it was so warm. You can walk down to the beach area or a quick drive. Annie and Greg make you feel so comfortable and offer amazing tips for your stay to be smooth. There was a power outage the moment we got there so things were a little confusing. Cleaning people arrived shortly after we communicated with Annie and we found out the whole area was without power. We went to Foodland, only 5 minutes away, to see if we could pick up any groceries there and then power came back on. So we were able to grab some snacks and dinner. Then get officially checked in. Annie was very responsive and let us know what was going on a best as she could. We were very comfortable there. Slept well. Listening to the rain showers or birds chirping. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Liuni's place was incredible! We rented a couple houses in the neighborhood for our group, and could not be happier with Luini's home and her and Tanya's support throughout our stay. Communication was amazing, the house was incredibly clean, amazing location, and had everything we needed. It's in the neighborhood of Queens Bath which is a must-see in Kauai and makes it SO easy because parking is not always accessible for that trail, but we could just walk to it! I highly recommend staying here. It is absolutely worth the price and was so nice to be able to sleep our group of 7. I am so grateful for this experience and Liuni and Tanya's kindness and flexibility with our group.

We definitely loved this spot and was a great place to stay. They had everything you need in kitchen and plenty of fans to help keep the place cool. We loved waking up to the view and sitting on the patio with the ocean sounds. We would love to stay here again!

Tiana was a wonderful host and the home was perfect for our family's visit to Kauai! She was quick to respond to any questions we had and we even got to visit with her during the week when she brought us some fruit grown by her family! Great recommendations on different area beaches and activities. Loved the home, the spacious gathering places, A/C when needed (but not needed much!), and the location within walking distance of a number of beaches, which was perfect for us. Very clean. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The boogie boards and beach equipment was super helpful (used every day!). Will definitely stay here again when we return (hopefully soon!).

We enjoyed our stay at Pili Mai 7M very much. The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we enjoyed the beach towels and equipment that were there for guests to use during their stay. The condo pool was great and just across the parking lot from our condo. We did have an issue with check-in. As instructed to do, we messaged the property manager named Bryan once we landed and also once we had gotten our rental car. At that time, we were to be given the key code to enter the property. After many attempts of texting the number provided, we heard nothing. We resorted to messaging through the AirB&B app and was texted by another agent on a different island and told to reach out to the Kauai agent (Bryan). When I explained that he wasn't responding, they gave us the key code. We also had a drainage problem in one of the bathroom tubs and contacted the company. We were told multiple times that Bryan would be contacting us and addressing it asap. We never heard from him.

We loved our stay at Sunset Kahili! The ocean view was stunning, and the condo was a short walk to Brennecke’s Beach. Lisa was kind and very responsive. Great location for exploring the island. We’d definitely stay again!

This location was perfect for how much you could walk to. Resort is quiet and friendly. Steve was very responsive. When questions arose throughout our stay. I would come back again. The cleanliness of the apartment was impressive. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of outdoor space and indoor space for two adults and two kids.

Douglas was great! They were so flexible, responsive and we absolutely loved staying here. Highly recommend!!

the place was very homey and lots of windows and fans that you hardly need AC during the night and early morning. Very close to the beach, great for body boarding and swimming and Turtle beach was also right next to it. got to see Turtles every night and amazing Sunsets. Nathan was very responsive and quick to communicate with any questions we had. we would definitely go back again next time we go back to Kauai
