Family-friendly holiday rentals in Makahuena Point

Veronica’s condo was exactly what we needed to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kauai! The location was our favorite aspect, you could get to each side of the island within an hour and we did so many activities that the location was perfect. The condo itself is exactly as described and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The sunrises from the beach right out front are gorgeous and we really enjoyed all the chickens running around. We would absolutely stay with Veronica again in Kauai.

The condo is in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, restaurants and such. Such a beautiful area to stay. The condo could use a little deep cleaning but I realize the housekeeper has limited amount of time between guests.

Tiana was a wonderful host and the home was perfect for our family's visit to Kauai! She was quick to respond to any questions we had and we even got to visit with her during the week when she brought us some fruit grown by her family! Great recommendations on different area beaches and activities. Loved the home, the spacious gathering places, A/C when needed (but not needed much!), and the location within walking distance of a number of beaches, which was perfect for us. Very clean. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The boogie boards and beach equipment was super helpful (used every day!). Will definitely stay here again when we return (hopefully soon!).

We loved our week spent here! It is the perfect size for a couple and has everything you need to enjoy a week on Kauai. Host was very responsive and proactive about informing us of all the details we needed to know about our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here, we’ll be back for sure!

The space was perfect for me and my wife to relax and enjoy our time in Hawaii. It’s located in one of the best areas of Kauai—Princeville—which made it even more special. We felt right at home and appreciated all the small touches that made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained getaway!

This place is INSANELY BEAUTIFUL! If you are going to Poipu, you HAVE TO GET THIS PLACE! You will be hard-pressed to find more spectacular views. No exaggeration. Stunning views. Walkable to most everything in Poipu. Next to great beaches. The management is so great and friendly. The home is well-stocked with everything you need. Get this place.

Annie and Greg, had amazing communication from prior to our stay until after our stay. They were very friendly and kind, answered any questions that we had, as well as responding very swiftly to things. There home was gorgeous, it had all the amenities you would need. If you needed anything else the grocery store was just up the street a quick walk or drive would it. My husband and I love staying in princeville when we go to kauai. We would absolutely stay here again, we loved their home. It was very clean and cozy. Even without AC the fans worked great and they also had an additional fan if you required extra air. the balcony had a great view too. We do wish we used the pool sooner it was so warm. You can walk down to the beach area or a quick drive. Annie and Greg make you feel so comfortable and offer amazing tips for your stay to be smooth. There was a power outage the moment we got there so things were a little confusing. Cleaning people arrived shortly after we communicated with Annie and we found out the whole area was without power. We went to Foodland, only 5 minutes away, to see if we could pick up any groceries there and then power came back on. So we were able to grab some snacks and dinner. Then get officially checked in. Annie was very responsive and let us know what was going on a best as she could. We were very comfortable there. Slept well. Listening to the rain showers or birds chirping. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Liuni's place was incredible! We rented a couple houses in the neighborhood for our group, and could not be happier with Luini's home and her and Tanya's support throughout our stay. Communication was amazing, the house was incredibly clean, amazing location, and had everything we needed. It's in the neighborhood of Queens Bath which is a must-see in Kauai and makes it SO easy because parking is not always accessible for that trail, but we could just walk to it! I highly recommend staying here. It is absolutely worth the price and was so nice to be able to sleep our group of 7. I am so grateful for this experience and Liuni and Tanya's kindness and flexibility with our group.

The pictures did not do this place justice. Great Villa, super clean, the patio was so nice and location was excellent for the south side of the island. 5 minute walk to the beach and Gary had lawn chairs, umbrellas and body boards waiting for us. So many great coffee shops and restaurants close by. This place was perfect for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Thank you!!

Great location, great room. We were in a renovated building. Very clean and modern. Nice setup for 2 couples or a family. Very friendly staff. Will definitely book again.

We loved our stay at Sunset Kahili! The ocean view was stunning, and the condo was a short walk to Brennecke’s Beach. Lisa was kind and very responsive. Great location for exploring the island. We’d definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at several Airbnbs in Kauai and in the condo complex of Pili Mai, and this was a fabulous spot! Would absolutely stay again. You need a car here, as you do anywhere you stay in Kauai, but this home is within 5 minutes’ drive of everything great on the south shore (best restaurants, beaches, coffee shops, etc.) Clean, full of amenities with more than expected in terms of shampoo and conditioner and such, and beautiful. Our whole group of 5 loved it. Highly recommend, will be booking again for my annual trip!

This location was perfect for how much you could walk to. Resort is quiet and friendly. Steve was very responsive. When questions arose throughout our stay. I would come back again. The cleanliness of the apartment was impressive. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of outdoor space and indoor space for two adults and two kids.

Douglas was great! They were so flexible, responsive and we absolutely loved staying here. Highly recommend!!

the place was very homey and lots of windows and fans that you hardly need AC during the night and early morning. Very close to the beach, great for body boarding and swimming and Turtle beach was also right next to it. got to see Turtles every night and amazing Sunsets. Nathan was very responsive and quick to communicate with any questions we had. we would definitely go back again next time we go back to Kauai
