Amazing location right on the river with beautiful views and excellent fishing. Incredibly relaxing! Highly recommend and would definitely return.

We loved the property of this cabin. It was beautiful and well maintained. The river was one of my favorite spots to read or have my morning coffee. There were many perks and amenities to this place that weren't listed online, like hammocks, campfire pokers, blow-dryer, yard games, fire pit, folding chairs, plastic storage containers, etc. And I loved all the buffalo plaid decor all around. The signs and decor were really nice too, So much to look at. My family had plenty of room inside the cabin to sleep and have their own space. There was also lots of outdoor seating and space outside on the property to come together for dinner or games. Nina was very responsive and gave clear instructions for entering and leaving the property. She was polite and made our stay pleasant. We would stay at this property again.

We had a nice time at this little cabin! It’s a loved and cared for space, and the hosts are very communicative and helpful. They were also very gracious and flexible when we asked if it would be ok to check in a little early, which really helped us out! Two things to note, just as an FYI for others as they plan a trip and decide if this cabin aligns for their vacation plans/style, the cabin and outside space are located within maybe 150-ft of a fairly well traveled backcountry highway. If some traffic noise while you’re outside bothers you, keep this in mind! It’s very private in terms of neighbors. Also, be sure to have a little extra time set aside to take care of the additional rental agreement & security deposit while you are confirming your reservation. If those two items are fine by you, then go for it on staying here! The bathtub & hot tub are particularly luxurious. Kitchen is great. And be sure to check out the short hiking loop at Bowman Lake nearby. It’s lovely!!

Larry and Kristin were very communicative throughout the process. The cabin and location itself was well worth the price we paid. My family and I enjoyed the cabin, the scenery, and the lake. I really enjoyed and appreciated the privacy and location of the cabin. Lastly, I was very excited about being close the lake, and my son and I enjoyed walking the beach every evening. We had a great time!

This was our second stay at the Peacock Trail cabin with our 2 dogs and it was better than the first! We previously stayed before the cottage was rebuilt and we loved it then but the rebuilt cottage is phenomenal! It’s spacious, open and plenty of all that you’d need. The best part? The trails!!!! You could go multiple times and take a different path each time. What makes them even better? The dog bowls at every corner of the trail and clearly marked with decals and signage. It’s impossible to get lost! Our dogs had a blast with every new trail we took. Everything is very well maintained. We had a fabulous time!

Cute and comfy cabin! Private and serene location in the woods. Hosts were very responsive and flexible. Rustic feel yet modern comforts. Very nice new bathroom and updated appliances. Nice fenced-in yard surrounded by nature. Very clean. Very minimal to zero cell phone service but nice to escape that.

Than & Lisa are amazing hosts. The cabin more than suits the needs for anyone looking to go off the grid and find all the peace and quiet that exists on the property and surrounding nature. Speaking of nature, it’s a stone throw from Manistee National Forest and the North Country Trail (Hiking trail running from Vermont to North Dakota) if you’re into that type of thing. If not, there is plenty to offer even the infrequent outdoorsy person something to gravitate to. Be mindful of the lack of internet (cellphone) service…but that’s the point right?!?!

Great location, great host and great accommodation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dog friendliness of this listing was the biggest appeal for us. The only minor issue we had was we needed a space heater for the bedroom at night - lows were getting down into the 30s over Memorial Day weekend and Denise got us one right away. I recently stayed at this place with my family, and I have to say, we had a fantastic time! The area was super clean, which always makes a stay more enjoyable. We found everything we needed right there, so we didn’t have to scramble around for supplies or anything. The best part? Everything we needed for groceries was just a short 15-minute drive away or go to traverse city was a 45 minute drive! We were able to explore some beautiful outdoor spots, which was perfect for our kids. They absolutely loved it! Whether it was hiking or just playing outside, there was always something to keep them entertained. Overall, it was a great getaway for us. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a place that’s convenient and family-friendly. We can’t wait to go back!

This was such an ideal place to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin is absolutely beautiful in a peaceful and private setting, which gave us permission to unplug and relax. We loved the sauna outside and enjoyed our meals in the shade of the surrounding trees. It’s already a really special place, and the hosts went above and beyond with amenities and details that elevated the experience beyond any other Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. We will definitely return to create more memories and connect with each other in this quiet and lovely cabin. Absolutely perfect!

Truly an exceptional stay. Top tier hosts that have gone above and beyond to make the stay feel like home. Incredibly clean, no bugs. A really nice little house. Property is beautifully maintained. So relaxing. Wildlife everywhere. We loved all the turtles. The only negative would be the goose poop all over the yard, but that’s just wild life being wild (I would just pack footwear accordingly) Overall, we are super happy with our stay and hope to be back! The cabin is charming, with practical and aesthetically appealing amenities and decoration. The private space both inside and out was calming and relaxing. We enjoyed birdwatching, dipping into the books on hand and walking through the woods.

So happy with our stay! So many trout to see in the river, and even though there's a neighbor nearby, it felt so secluded. Amenities were great, and Jordan was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Dan's place. We really appreciate his welcoming dogs to venture along. Our dog, Boone, loved pounding by the fire pit, sniffing through the woods, and running on Arcadia Beach. Dan's specific driving directions brought us right to the door. The house was exactly as described, clean as can be, and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely worth every penny!

Quiet, cozy and kid friendly! We had a lovely long weekend with our young kids here. Nordhouse is just down the road and Ludington was a quick day trip. The cabin was clean and comfortable! Highly recommend!
