Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lothian

Melissa’s place is amazing. 5 stars! There are a lot of wow characters in her place. The place is huge for just the two of us. The kitchen is spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. The room is very comfortable and warm. We did not have to use public transport at all to get to all of the tourist spots. It is close to lots of the main sight seeing spots. Very convenient. Melissa is very friendly and helpful. She is very proactively with her communication. We supposed to contact her before we arrive but I did not read the instructions. She contacted us and sorted things. We only stay 2 days in Edinburgh, which we could stay for longer! Would stay in Melissa’s place again! Highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Curlew Cottage. Daniele was so welcoming and friendly that we soon felt at home in the warm and comfortable cottage with everything you need. It is wonderfully peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside for walks or relaxing with a good book. We would have liked to have stayed longer and would love to go back again. Really lovely large house in a beautiful setting, perfect for dog walks and with access to the coast. Huge garden with multiple lovely seating areas.

We loved the decor - so many lovely touches and were really comfortable. The 26 bus meant we were really well connected to Edinburgh and the pretty coast.

Our booking was a very last minute family emergency situation. I was dealing with Charlotte who was absolutely brilliant. The house was made ready at only a few hours notice. The house provided everything we could possibly have needed, especially peace and comfort during a very stressful time. Communication throughout was outstanding with genuine care for our situation. Thank you so much, we appreciate everything you did for us ❤️

What stunning views and such a tranquil location. Loved our stay and hosts were so accommodating when we were a little late and they opened up for our grocery delivery driver! We are a family of four with a dog and loved using the enclosed garden, bbq and fire pit. Beds are comfortable and showers are super. Even the sofa bed is great! Would stay again. Marvelours placenta to stay!

This has been our favourite destination to-date. We had a wonderful stay, which, as beautiful as the photos are, don't do it (or the surroundings) justice. If you're after a peaceful getaway and gorgeous views then you won't be disappointed. There are beautiful coastal towns and walks within a short distance, and Edinburgh itself isn't much further. Jane is an excellent host and made sure we were well looked after and supported (even when my other half had a make-up disaster...). When the time is right for us to return to the East Lothian area, we know where we'd love to stay again.

Great location, super cozy vibes, walkable to public transport, kitchen well stocked. Perfect spot for up to 6 people. Communication was prompt with Momo.

We were in town for a little over a week - mainly to make photography trips to Isle of May and Bass Rock. This flat was fantastic. Great views of the water and very close to several restaurants and an amazing bakery. We didn't even bring a car. Just took a train from Edinburgh and walked to and from the train station. Never felt the need for a car. If we ever find ourselves back in North Berwick, we will absolutely stay here again.

Incredible location. Easy walking distance to everything. Great neighborhood feel. Apt was exactly as pictured/described. The tall ceilings & huge corner unit windows made for such a bright and cheery setting. We felt right at home. Trudi was extremely prompt in her responses and so helpful with any and all questions we had. Would absolutely stay here again, and can recommend this property without hesitation. And Edinburgh was one of a kind!! Enjoy!

Dawn’s flat was perfect for our four night stay! Really well situated, with lots of shops and cafes in walking distance. The flat is well equipped with everything you need and was immaculate on arrival.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, offering helpful local tips and ensuring a smooth check-in process. The location was perfect— 5 mins walk close to Asda, 45 mins drive to Edinburgh and 1 hour drive to Glasgow, but still quiet enough for a peaceful night's sleep. The bed was super comfy, and I appreciated the little touches like fresh towel and toiletries However, the only comment is the neighbor who live downstairs who greeted us unpleasantly and made us uneasy during our stay as he complaints of footsteps noise-ofcourse you need to walk upstairs and we have kids who are just being kids.

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

Such a beautiful home and perfect for our family’s stay for our daughter’s wedding at a farm nearby. Such a unique property and we were grateful for the gorgeous back garden since we had such great weather. Kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the setup of the house overall.

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

I can’t say enough about this place and how lovely Ian and Flo were in being such great hosts. Not only was the house fantastic but they were so kind and helpful… It was like staying with good friends.!

Angus and Anne were the perfect hosts the house was beautiful with a real homely vibe. Everything had been thought of, we were all so comfortable and loved every second of our time there. Definitely worth a 5star review.

This is a lovely house with beautiful views in a fantastic location! We got very lucky with sunny weather during our stay meaning we could make the most of the gorgeous surroundings - we did white water rafting on the River Tay and enjoyed the Taymouth Marina spa, all of which were a short drive away from the house. The house was just as described and pictured and the hosts were great - they were very responsive and flexible, allowing us to have both an early checkin and late check out. There is a good amount of parking at the property and the kitchen was well stocked with all amenities you could need. The house is on a main road but it is not busy and traffic noise was not an issue. I would definitely recommend this house to a group.
