Family-friendly holiday rentals in Liberia

We stayed at Ilya's condo for a week and really loved the location! The condo is a 3 minute walk to the north end of Coco beach and a 3 minute walk to the restaurants, bars, and grocery store in the Las Palmas neighborhood. We also walked into downtown Coco a lot, but that was a little farther, maybe 15 mins. My favorite part of the condo was the rooftop terrace. We sat up there in the mornings drinking coffee and listening to the ocean waves. And in the evening, the sunsets were amazing! Ilya was a great host. He sent us recommendations for restaurants, activites, beaches to see, etc. He was very thorough at check-in, showing us features of the condo and around the complex. I'd recommend staying here to anyone interested in great views and close proximity to the Coco beach.

My family of 4 had a great time in Coco. The condo is incredible and we felt super safe. Very comfortable beds and nice balcony. The previous tenant took the keys for the cart and Jennifer gave us her own cart for the stay. Best host ever!!

This is such an amazing house in the Potrero area. Just a quick drive up the hill from downtown, easy access to restaurants in the beach. The caretakers went above and beyond to make our stay special, and the hosts were really responsive when needed. As other reviewers have said the pictures don’t nearly capture how wonderful the view is from the property. We were surprised by the overall size in space in the house, it was much larger than we anticipated but very nice to have all of the room. I would recommend this property for an upscale getaway to anyone.

This place exceeded my expectations. Pictures don’t do justice. The restaurant at the top is AMAZING. Lizette, the person who received us, is a beautiful person and very knowledgeable. Don’t think twice to book this!!!!

We love going to Reserva Conchal and Daphne's place had everything we wanted, from plenty of bedrooms, to a great location and view overlooking the golf course. Once inside the reserve, we had access to both The Westin and The W and all the amenities they had to offer. Great place to spend a weekend.

Great location, our only wish is that the property would have an elevator. Everything about this condo was exactly as listed, great private beach to anyone that finds this place.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Casa Gecko. It was clean , comfortable , great location and was like a resort. It was a pleasure meeting Les, and we will definitely go back

We loved Drew’s place, everyone was so friendly and helpful, perfect place to bird watch and relax.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It had all we needed and loved the pool and barbecue area as well. Jorge and his family made us feel welcome and even took us to the store when we got there. He surprised us with fresh watermelon, coconuts and honeycomb! There is much to do in the area such as swimming, hiking the volcano area, horseback riding, zip lining and resting in the natural hot springs. We had a wonderful time and plan to come back. Absolutely five star location, condo and resort. So many amenities and attention to details at the condo. We were a family of four with grandparents joining and the condo was the perfect fit! We were all drawn to the wrap around porch and hammocks instantly. As other reviewers stated Andreina is super sweet and helpful. We were able to explore the resort and take advantage of the pool as well as several private beaches within the property. I would highly recommend going to a grocery store on the way in or having them delivered upon arrival. The kitchen was so well stocked we ate almost every meal at the condo for the week we were there. On our last day the howler monkeys came right to the the trees across from the condo to wish us fare well! What an unforgettable trip! Hope to one day be lucky enough to return!

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

Nice comfortable and clean place, right in the center of Playa Grande. There's everything in the house for a short and long stay. We recommand.

Awesome place to stay! Beautiful view! A short walk to the beach and some local shops - it is a steep hill, but there are stairs. Staff and other guests were extremely helpful and friendly. There was more than enough room for our family of four. When we needed assistance with an air conditioner, Floribeth was quick to respond, and had a repair person there in no time - problem fixed immediately. We were not planning on returning to Costa Rica, but after our stay, we fell in love with the area and people, and can't wait to return. Floribeth gave us precise directions, found it right away. You will not want to leave here. Thank you Floribeth!!

This was just what we were looking for - Peace and quiet with a beautiful view. The condo had everything we needed and more. One of the best stocked places we've stayed in with plenty of towels, paper supplies, kitchen supplies - everything except washclothes! Bring a few if you use them like we do. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Loved having our own private pool. Definitely recommend!

The bungalow was fantastic, very comfortable, and José was a great host. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Tamarindo.

Our stay at Alejandro’s was amazing! The house is exactly as pictured and even a 5 minute drive to a beautiful beach. The house had everything we could need. We had a large group and everyone was able to have space and we cooked many shared meals in the spacious kitchen. The pool had stunning views and it was incredibly waking up to the nature sounds every morning. We had a bit of a rough time getting to the place as our GPS routed us up the back dirt road and there were many pot holes and ditches. I would advise in wet season to only stay on main roads. Once we were able to navigate to the house everything was great for our stay. Beware of giant grasshoppers (and other creatures of nature around you in this property!) but that’s all part of the experience.

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bahia Pez Vela, Villa 10. The house is lovely and the view breathtaking. We spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the view. We really enjoyed having the beautiful black sand beach just a few steps away, as well as the pool and restaurant right next door. The restaurant on the property Soluna Beach Bistro has many delicious options and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed checking out some of the restaurants in Ocotal Beach, which is just 5 minutes away. Don't miss out on Father Rooster's. Take advantage of the the wonderful massage and facials available at the resort, which we were able to get on our patio. Also, make sure to enjoy the kayak rentals and you can also have jet ski rentals brought to the private beach. Thank you Alvin and we look forward to visiting again someday. I long to be back there already!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Encantada. It was private and peaceful. It is meticulously maintained and very clean. Lorraine and Real are helpful hosts, who have lived in Costa Rica a long time and have many great recommendations for the area. Highly recommended!

We had a great and relaxing stay at the ranch. We enjoyed some lovely food, horseback riding and the hike around the property while we were here. Leonardo and Jorge were very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Overall great stay got to see a ton of wildlife live like monkeys, lizards,bats and birds. I understand location on Airbnb is an estimate so it should the beach closer walking distance than it was. Very buggy if u do like insect be cautious. But great area for food and surfing.
