Great location for a summer trip to the area! Lots of amenities in the house and just as described.

My family and I loved our stay at Sherilynn’s cabin! The cabin has everything you could want and then some! It had plenty of space and everyone appreciated not having to share bedrooms or fight over bathrooms. We really enjoyed eating on the screened in porch, playing in the creek (We watched a snake eat a fish one night) and both fire pits. The cabin is a perfect base camp for adventures in Shenandoah National Park too. Sherilynn was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a really nice time at the cabin. Everything was laid out very nicely and was ready for us the moment we arrived. The space is beautiful and right on the lake. It was extremely peaceful to sit in the large screened deck and hang out with the stunning lake in view. Hope to stay here again some day!

My family and I loved this air bnb! It was private, clean and had everything that we needed. Loved the fire pit and the hot tub, beds were comfy and towels were soft. Great communication with the owners. If you are looking for a nice get away with lots of privacy and to be able to relax this place is it! If we are ever in the area again would love to stay in this beautiful cabin in the woods.

We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the woods. Standing at the center of the cabin, you end up surrounded by nature as you are able to look through all the windows and the sky light at the beautiful greenery. It was a sweet sanctuary from the city. I appreciated every detail that enhanced my relaxation and comfort at this cabin from the many amenities to the decor. It’s a perfect escape.

A beautiful cabin, well updated, and well located. Loved that Maybelle’s is just a stone’s throw while at the same time you are nestled in the woods to getaway. Beds were super comfy, and creature comforts were available. Made for an excellent blend of rustic look/location while having new conveyances. Absolutely recommend and also want to say how I appreciated the personal touch of host reaching out personally to ensure everything was going well. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay! It was nice & quiet, listening nature on the porch and using the hot tub was a couple of our favorites.

Joshua and Joan were great hosts. The cabin is located in a very quiet, peaceful, subdivision with a few other cabins around. It’s a great space and made for a very relaxing getaway!

I stayed in the cabin on the river, I must say it was probably the best few days I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful and peaceful set up, not to mention the farm as a whole was amazing. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great time at Tracy’s cabin! The cabin had all of the amenities listed in the description plus some extras and was more accommodating than I expected. The area is private and quiet. If you are someone who isn’t comfortable with using water sparingly for dishes/bagged showers, consider bringing extra. The cabin had about 12 gallons available and we used a little more over 4 days. Be advised that this cabin is deep into the mountains, we lost service about an hour away. I recommend saving the address of places/trails you’d like to visit and using your vehicle’s GPS. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed unplugging for a few days. Highly recommend!

The host always responded quickly. The log cabin is so cute on the outside with charming mountain vibe and newness on the inside. Blooming flowers surrounded the cabin which is set in a meadow with a forested hill as backdrop. It rained some of the time we were there, so we really enjoyed the coziness of the cabin. We appreciated the supplied hose and water that made cleaning mud off our bikes after each trail ride easy. We could store our bikes under the porch roof at ground level which meant we didn't have to lift it up stairs. This was a major help to us. We loved this trip and the cabin was wonderful, only 5 miles to the Greenbriar Train put in.

My girlfriend and I wanted to take a vacation to visit her hometown. Little did I know I would pick a spot that was on the same road she grew up on as a child. It’s a beautiful mountain drive a little scary at first but you’ll get more comfortable with it the more you drive it. Beautiful little home, awesome heater, cool roomba, microwave, toaster, fridge with ice everything you could possibly need they had. I would definitely come back and you all should definitely check this place out!

Our stay at Hat Creek Camp was short but exceptional. I wondered if we would have enough to do outside of wind down, which was our primary goal. I had no phone service on my apple which was fine with me. My husband’s Samsung had a signal, go figure. We were there to disconnect and let our dog run free. I’ve never seen her so happy, jumping in the lake and stream. Time flew walking the trails, being on the lake, barbecuing and just sitting by the fire pit. I thought we’d need cards but there was no time. The cabin was small but clean. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. I wondered why past reviewers mentioned the bed but it was comfy enough to mention. My dog cried after we were gone 10 minutes on our way home. Thought she needed to potty but after a break and 3 hrs home she never went. I think she was missing camp and didn’t want to leave. I know we didn’t.

All I can say is wow! I booked Rebecca's place as a one-night stop for a group of us from the UK on a short road trip in Shenandoah. I was hopeful that it would be a good stay based on the photos and description, but I don't think any of us expected how wonderfully cosy, rustic and yet clean and comfortable it would be! There were so many small touches to help us enjoy the stay - for example the fire pit already had logs and kindling arranged and Rebecca had even left S'mores out, so we enjoyed a great night sitting around the fire toasting these and even saw a firefly! Our only regret we all agreed was that we hadn't booked to stay longer - given the location right in between Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway this is THE place to stay when visiting the area!

The perfect getaway for us and our two pups. A great location to get away, disconnect, and relax. Peaceful, secluded, gorgeous surroundings. No noise except the nature all around you. The cabin itself has everything you need to feel right at home. As well-appointed inside as it is rustic on the outside. Comfy, cozy, and clean. Can't wait to come back!

This place is truly a rare find. The house is immaculately kept and is situated on a waterfall and nestled in the woods. It was perfect. Rhonda thought of everything and was so thoughtful and kind. We will be back!!

The cabin was adorable and very close to some great hiking trails. It was very convenient having the general store so close. I really appreciate being able to bring my dog! I hope to stay at The Chimneys again. Thanks for everything!

Stay was great. Hike up to Crabtree falls was amazing. Definitely a great place to disconnect from the phone with no WiFi and connect to each other and nature . Beautiful property!

Stephanie's little cottage was just as pictured. The bed was very comfortable as was the furnishings. We took advantage of the well stocked kitchen making about half our meals in house. We enjoyed sitting out in the screened porch both in the mornings and evenings. There was ample parking for our truck, small motorcycle trailer, and two bikes. It might not be the easiest to find but it is very quiet and peaceful once there. Groceries and restaurants are conveniently close by but the cottage has the feeling of being away from it all. We saw two friendly woodchucks almost everyday and two deer bedded down in the yard right outside our door. We rode the Blue Ridge parkway, which is accessed about 15mi from the cottage, at the James River. Heading south we climbed to the Peaks of Otter topping out at 3950ft. Heading north we made it to Whetstone Bridge before turning around. We found Stephanie's little cottage to be the perfect place to stay while exploring the area.

The cabin was beautiful! Wish we were there for more than the one night. We will come back for a longer trip! The trout pond was a lot of fun for my 12 y/o as well. He caught several large rainbows!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The space was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, offering both privacy and breathtaking views. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Pieter and Jenna’s cabin is a lovely, modern tiny home! It was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay for a weekend, and a great base for exploring Smith Mountain Lake and Peaks of Otter. The kitchenette is well stocked and the entire place is extremely clean! We enjoyed the back deck for meals, when it wasn’t raining.

This place is a gem!! So enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the solitude. I highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway or a fun filled family vacation. It offers so much!! It was clean and comfortable. Sarah is a great host!!

We had a great stay celebrating our 10 year anniversary and also a birthday. The house has everything you could need and we loved cooking on the grill and loved that the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. The house is the perfect layout for kids and dogs as well and the hot tub felt amazing after we hiked Crabtree Falls. The proximity to town and the local pie shop was perfect. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to come stay again.
