This was a lovely stay! The house was clean (obsessed with the woody fresh smell of the pine) and had everything we could have needed. We even enjoyed stormy weather under the roof on the back deck!

This house is very well located for enjoying Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, & Front Royal, VA. The northern most park entrance is a very short drive, & the town of Front Royal is also a short drive. The house was very comfortable for my family of eight adults and one grandchild plus dog. We convened there for a week for a family get together. You won’t be bored. Solomon has provided everything you could possibly want to have fun and relax, from the very nice outdoor hot tub, fire pit with chairs and the makings of s’mores, hammock, and corn hole game, to the downstairs game room with pool table, the extensive library, fireplaces and nice back porch with grill, table, chairs, & porch swing, etc.! The master bedroom is amazing, the downstairs bedroom is also very nice, both with en-suite bathrooms. The other two bedrooms are much smaller and share a bathroom although there is a half bath off the kitchen. It worked for us. We hated to see the week end! Would come back.

We absolutely loved staying at this cozy cabin. It looked just like the pictures and even had a little welcome card when we arrived on the island. It had every appliance we needed and then some. The location although 20 mins from town was perfect and peaceful. Very private and relaxing. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The host was responsive and very helpful with any questions we needed. It was a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was incredibly clean, cozy, quiet and peaceful. The cabin had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the toddler gear, which saved us from packing extra items. We loved making s’mores by the firepit and curling up with books next to the gas fireplace on cool summer nights. The beds were super comfortable, and everything felt well cared for and inviting. As others have mentioned it’s quite the hike up the dirt road, but we had no problem in a small suv. It was a great retreat and would come back!

We had such a great stay at the cabin. Steve was super communicative, responsive, and professional. He didn't just respond quickly if we reached out, he proactively reached out to us, to welcome us, to ask if everything was ok, to remind us about checkout time and procedures. He was really invested in our havinb a wonderful time, and we certainly did. He’s taken great effort to ensure the home is well appointed with kitchen supplies (e.g., spice rack, coffee, both keurig and drip percolator, teas, basic ingredients, pots/pans, etc.). All was in great condition, from spacious deck and grill, bath towels, toiletries. The parking area and fire pit w chairs are clean and convenient. Free, seasoned firewood kept under cover. Great views from a secluded, remote mountain property. We didn’t use the arcade game room but it’s a great space and amenity for families and friends. The deck is extraordinary. We loved listening to the birds calling and, of course, the quiet. Thank you, Steve!

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. THIS is a great house and property!! It’s a beautiful modern feeling cabin. And this place is super clean!!!! I can’t stress this enough. The bedrooms are so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the laundry area and all. Living room is very comfy with great seating. Outside on the back is a patio sofa, fun lighting and a swing. The front entry is very easy to get into. Great gravel driveway and just a few steps to the door. There is a great fire pit with a huge swing. It is private. It felt very safe. And the pool table room was so fun! We spent lots of time there. Plenty of towels, blankets, throws, etc. We highly recommend this property and would love to come back.

fantastic mountain getaway. at first we were bummed the weather was going to keep us inside but this Airbnb made it such an enjoyable and relaxing vacation nonetheless. beds were very comfortable, space was beautiful, and such a bonus that they provided the firewood for evening fires. will absolutely be coming back to see this space intiple seasons.

Loved staying at this sweet little cabin! It was a little smaller than expected but the coziest cutest thing ever! I agree with Heather that this place is best suited for older kiddos and adults, loads of cute decorations and the loft could really trip someone up if they weren’t careful! It was such a peaceful, private place and it really felt like we were in a cabin to ourselves despite being in a neighborhood! Super close to a bunch of amazing wineries, hiking, and downtown Frederick, it was perfect! Thank you Heather!!

If you want a place with things in walking distance, this isn't for you. But you can't beat the view from the deck every morning. Place was rustic (which i like in a cabin!) but tastefully done - nice blend of the historic with newer touches. Beds comfy. Had everything you need. Corey sent good instructions on how to find it. Recommend.

This cabin is exactly what my fiance and I needed. It was extremely cozy and we felt right at home. Raymond ‘s listing is exactly what we expected and exactly what we got. The outdoor shower is DIVINE, and with nobody around we felt at peace. Besides Raymond’s house (which is right up the hill) there is nothing around except for trees. There’s two of the cutest little hammocks with the prettiest view and a huge outdoor fire pit. We brought our two dogs with us and I think they were more relaxed than us. It is super dog friendly and they even had some dog toys there for them to play with. There is a previous review that says cell service is spotty, but we had no problem with text messages sending or outgoing phone calls. The host is extremely friendly and does make sure that you have everything you need. If you’re looking for a getaway where you can unplug and unwind, this is your perfect place. Ps, the outdoor shower water gets really hot!! 🤤

Had a peaceful, relaxing weekend with the family at the cabin! Everyone loved the hot tub and the kids settled right in with the projector / game room. Leah was super responsive and helpful with our questions.

Herry is responsive right away for any questions you may have. What we appreciate the most about this lovely home is the cleanliness. It is not only clean but decorated very nicely. Just a beautiful place. The hot tub was very clean which is so nice, this is probably the cleanest we have ever had, ever. That means a lot! And it is completely private from the neighbors. We also enjoyed the string lights on the patio, the protection screen was fun to watch re-runs of Friends on a rainy night, and the couch is so comfortable! Loved that there is a bedroom on the main level. We had everything we needed. It was easy to get inside, well lit. Nice peaceful quiet neighborhood. We will be back to visit again. Thank you Herry!

Such a nice off the grid spot with access to great food and restaurants within a short drive, the location was very peaceful and had one of the cleanest portable restrooms I’ve ever used.

We loved our stay at C & O abode. It was exactly as described and as the pictures showed. The house is beautiful with amazing amenities such as heated floors, room darkening shades, sound machines in every room and toys and books in the kids room. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and beautiful decor. Jen was very responsive and even sent a long list of recommendations for things to do! The kids loved the crystal grotto caverns and the arial adventure park. Also highly recommend Harper’s ferry brewing for locals beers and delicious pretzels! We look forward to staying here again in the future.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to visit the past and full of history too!! The cabin exceeded our expectations!!! We will definitely make this a place we plan on visiting over and over!!! They even have a beautiful bank barn to host weddings!!! We needed more time to explore the beauty this place offers!! A weekend just isn’t enough time!! Our heads were on swivel the entire stay!! And somehow we ended up just driving around and looking for all the historic gems in the area!! Southern charm galore!! Thank u for being on Airbnb!! We sooooo fell in love with this little gem!!!

Amazing secluded mountain cabin! Beautiful interior and well appointed, upscale choice furnishings, countertops, and bath vanities. we found everything very clean and lots of little extra touches available in the kitchen, and bath robes for bath. Appears almost newly refurbished, while maintaining that cabin charm. Even a few items for littles like a pack n play, kid table and a few toy items, if you’re bringing children. Feels very comfortable— love the leather choice for chairs! Host was very responsive as well. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels/linens all around. Drive way up was entirely paved and easy enough in our van. Some homes visible in the distance thru trees but this home felt very private. Would absolutely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Darren’s cabin. The house and location were great phenomenal and she was very responsive and helpful! We can’t wait to visit again!
