Great place for a relaxing weekend getaway. Plenty of parking, also easy commute to Newcastle/Sunderland/Durham.

great place for a family getaway, there were 11 of us so the games room and hot tub were prefect. close enough to Barnard castle to go out for dinner, beautiful surroundings, what's not to like

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We loved our stay at Darlington!! The host was so responsive, everything went smoothly. 10/10 the hot tub was a great touch for both adults and kids! Would absolutely stay again!!!

We had a lovely break. The position of the caravan overlooking the sea is one of the best on the site and it had everything we needed. We’d very happily go back for another stay.

Russell and Clare are great hosts who have created comfortable, well-appointed accommodation which is warm and cosy in winter and I imagine light and airy in summer. The beds were lush. The shower is great - powerful and consistent temperature. Eppleby is peaceful with walks from the cottage, a local shop & tea room - very friendly - and pub. It's a great location for exploring Richmondshire and Co. Durham. We had a relaxing short break at The Old Milk House and hope to return.

We had a lovely stay at Hall Yard Cottage, the location was in a lovely village, friendly neighbours and great walks on the doorstep. The hosts left some welcome goodies which were much appreciated. The only feedback we have is that it wasn’t mentioned where we could park in the information pack until one of the neighbours told us. The cottage was very clean, dog friendly and we will definitely return.

We booked our stay for a 30th birthday weekend with family, the house is stunning and has everything you need and more. Perfect for a celebration. The stay was perfect from start to finish, the only downside we would say was the 10am check out, which we feel is a bit too early especially when check in isn’t until 4pm - When asked for a later check out there was a charge even though there was nobody else due to stay that day. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would recommend Kimberley and her lovely home. Thank you for having us.

Unfortunately we where needing to find a place for two nights due to a funeral. I messaged to see what shops would be open for essentials And why we where staying. When we arrived there were all the essentials and more waiting for us which took another pressure of us so we could just relax that evening. House was clean And tidy And had everything we needed. And area was really quiet with some lovely views. Would come back and also recommend to others. Owners are lovely too and brilliant communication. We had no issues And would happily stay again but under better circumstances. A******

The Little House is superb. It was spotlessly clean, super equipped and it’s in a beautiful location. It’s only a short walk from the village. We drove to the other villages and into Durham for the Park & Ride. There’s plenty of local walks. Chris even provided an OS map of the area.

Lovely spot for a family get away. House was just as described, amazing bathrooms and bedrooms, perfect garden for the dog. Lovely village and central for exploring the area - just what we needed.

Perfect location for our stay whilst visiting Durham for an open day for university. The house felt homely, whilst also being clean.

Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

We're back from a one night stay at Stephen's place. The house was clean, modern, well maintained and homely. Stephen was good at communicating with us. We certainly recommend this house and would stay again.

We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. When we couldn’t find something, the host replied right away with helpful directions and was super kind about it. Their quick support made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

A real home away from home! The property had pretty much everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, and the linen and towels smelled fresh and lovely. The sofas were also incredibly comfy. The blinds did let in quite a bit of light, which may just be a personal thing as I find it hard to sleep without complete darkness. A few small touches like milk, oil, and pepper would’ve been appreciated, but not a big deal as the corner shop was very close. The bottle of prosecco was a lovely surprise. It’s a genuinely beautiful place in a great location, with scenic walks, friendly locals, and lovely pubs. Easy to get a taxi into the city centre too. I can be quite particular, but this place definitely passed the test! Would absolutely recommend — thanks again!

Stephanie's cottage is in the most beautiful location. The sat nav given in the instructions takes you right to the gate. We went over New Year, and the cottage is beautifully warm, comfortable, completely equipped with everything you need and spacious. If a uniquely beautiful location, remote and quiet, is what you are looking for on holiday, there cannot be many places that are better situated. The farmer, Donna, was available if we had any questions, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The scenery is as beautiful as anywhere in the world - this cannot be overstated.

Great little holiday cottage. Easy to find and great location in center of village. Cottage itself was spotlessly clean and well presented. Nice touch from Sarah to leave some provisions including tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc. CO-OP and chip shop just actoss the road and very handy. Over all a delightful cottage for our weekend stay.

Great stay in this quirky little cottage. Paige was a great host and this place was perfect for our needs whilst mountain biking in Hamsterley Forest. Comfortable, clean and cozy this place is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in the area. Thanks Paige.

Attending a Wedding in Beamish, needed a nice space for 6 of us for 2 nights, which isn’t always easy to find. Emily’s house was perfect, plenty of space, spotlessly clean and comfortable. This was our first ever use of Airbnb, I hope all future stays are as good as this one Thank you from the Lloyd’s 😊
