The cottage had so much to offer for the amount we paid. We were able to come and go easily in the village, we now want to check out Gretna over the summer when the lake is open! But there are plenty of nearby restaurants and attraction, even in December. This cottage is a real gem!

Absolutely loved my stay at Kara’s place! From start to finish, Kara was an exceptional host—her communication was excellent, always friendly, and she responded to any questions almost immediately. The house itself was beautiful and had a whimsical charm that made it feel truly special. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and it was clear that a lot of care went into creating a welcoming atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommended!

Beautiful home with high end finishes. Very clean, endless hot water, heated bathroom tile floors, loved the doors. The view of the river was beautiful and peaceful. There was lots of different wildlife to admire. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Host, Josh, responded to questions within minutes. Best of all, we were able to bring our two large dogs, which was very important to us as we were there for a family funeral and on short notice. I would definitely recommend this home to someone staying in the area.

We've been coming to Water's Edge for several years as a large family gathering space. The property is amazing for a great relaxing weekend and it's great to have all of us for at the dinner table together. Brian is an excellent host. He's very quick to answer any questions and is extremely accommodating. Every time we come back Brian has made an upgrade to the property. He has a passion for this property and sharing the experience with his guests.

Staying at David's place was a nice, peaceful retreat for my husband, baby, dog and I. The home itself is set beautifully above the Susquehanna. Peaceful, quiet and clean inside. The upper deck was slightly over run by hornets, which was disappointing not being able to sit up there to watch the sunset. David did accommodate by sending someone to take care of the hornets within hours of letting him know. We would probably come again without the baby and dog. There is a spiral staircase to the second floor that took some convincing to get the dog up and not very much flat or open space for her to go potty outside. Overall, Great stay, awesome house, responsive and friendly host. Definitely reccomend!

Hands down one of our very favorite places we’ve stayed! Beautiful, serene grounds. The cottage is tastefully decorated. And the bed…. Sucked us into peaceful, deep slumber nightly. The cottage is immaculately clean and the owners are extremely kind and helpful. We cannot wait to book a return stay and not leave the cottage or the grounds.
