Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Tawakoni

Overall our stay was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for dining and the kitchen was nice with a gas stove. For me that is a plus! Kitchen also had the majority of items of home. The yard is nice for dogs to roam with fishing available at the back of the property. The only thing I wished it had would be a dock. The property is located close to most things to do. The host is very nice and responsive. This would be a repeat to stay if I was coming back to the area.

Our home unfortunately flooded and I was completely distraught since my husband was out of town. I reached out to this place on the lake to see if we could stay that same night since our home was being torn apart. Danelle responded right away and we were able to check in within a couple hours of booking. What a relief! We booked 4 nights since that was what was available. Then, when their weekend booking canceled, she reached out to me immediately and offered for us to stay through the weekend. We very much needed that since our home was still being worked on. The home had everything we could possibly need including things we didn’t need but it was nice to have (sonic ice? Heck yes!). The lake was exactly what we needed after all we had been through. The kids loved the kayaks and jumping off the docks! The roof deck was perfect for laying out in the sun. We had all the beach towels we needed and the couch was super comfy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Buffalo Inn. 10/1

My family and I was there for only two days. We spent most of the time between indoor and outdoor activities as a family. It was a great time for us, peaceful and quiet.

Great stay with the family! The house was just like the pictures clean, cozy, and with a beautiful view. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were fun games for the kids. Only downside was the outdoor grill and furniture, which needed cleaning before use. Overall, a great experience!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was such a peaceful & relaxing trip. The house itself is wonderful & you will feel right at home. Ron was an awesome host. He is very attentive & very responsive. It was so much fun to just be able to walk the path from the house to the lake & go fishing. We caught lots of crappie & catfish right off the dock & my husband actually caught a 6 pound bass off the dock as well. That was the coolest experience & the biggest bass I ever saw in person. We also had fun fishing at night with the green light/green monster that Ron has submerged in the water near the dock. It was a wonderful stay :)

The house is amazing but the back patio is the real show stopper! We were able to cook all weekend and really appreciated how stocked the kitchen was with utensils and other items to make it easy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway.

Great lake house to stay at, had all the amenities you need. It has kayaks and paddle boats ready for you to use. The inside of the house is great has a lot of electronics that you can use. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to have a great lake house experience.

The owners were so nice to work with and communicated very well. The house was more than advertised as the kitchen was very well stocked. The lake access was just what we needed via the dock and ability to use the boat lift for our boat. The deck over the boat lift provided a great view. The house was very clean. The bedrooms were bigger than we expected. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable. We had a great time and hope to come back for another visit.

The place was so peaceful and quiet. The master bedroom had windows facing the lake so it was always a treat to fall asleep and wake up to views of the lake. The fishing off the dock was outstanding. At one point, there was a power outage in the neighborhood and the host was quick to update me as she received updates which was very nice and unexpected! I will visit again.

I needed a place to just unwind and relax for a couple of days. I was looking for a place that was quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature, scenic, and go fishing! This place was all of the above and then some. (There's also a very nice golf course just down the street) Mike and Sheryl make you feel right at home. They are both very friendly and kind. They kept their fridge stocked with drinks and breakfast foods. There is also a coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster in the common/kitchenette area. I even caught my biggest catfish off their brand new dock! (5lbs). I will definitely be back for another stay. I highly recommend staying at Mike & Sheryl's lake side house.

We had a wonderful time and loved this spot so much! Kristi was amazing with any questions and the house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Outside the lake was wonderful with kayaks and rafts to keep you busy for days. We will definitely be booking again. We enjoyed every minute of it!

We have the most amazing stay at this lake house! The property was absolutely beautiful, clean and perfectly set up. The lake views were stunning, especially the sunset. The house had everything we needed and more. We love spending time on the back deck using the fire pit and taking the kayaks in the water. The pool table and abundance of games was great when the weather got bad. You can tell that the owners really care about the guest experience!

Perfect place foir family to watch the eclipse. Used the kayaks and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. It was especially great that he did NOT change the rate just for the eclipse.

Linnea’s place was perfect for what we needed and looking for. Very comfortable, had everything we needed, she was always available and quick to respond. Ready to go back.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. My only complaint would be there is not a dishwasher. Everything else was perfect. The neighbor dog that came to visit was a plus. Everyone loved playing with him very sweet and friendly. Great vibes at this location would definitely stay again!

Went for a couple of nights with my husband. Our 13 year old son and his friend came as well. House was easy to find and check in. House is very well maintained. Master bedroom and bath do not have AC only living room and other room do. We would have liked to shut our door for a little privacy but in the Summer it was just a little too hot for me. Master does have a good ceiling fan and a stand up fan if you don't run hot like me you will be okay. My husband was fine temperature wise. My husband and boys were able to fish and get in the water and had fun! Caught a small bass, couple of small cats, and perch. We also rented a jon boat which was convenient. Overall great stay for a few nights to relax!

Fantastic stay! This Airbnb was clean, comfortable, and in the perfect location. There were tons of activities to keep the kids entertained, and we caught plenty of catfish during our stay. It truly couldn’t have been a better spot for a lake getaway. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This place is absolutely beautiful, very clean and private. Luckily this place is walking distance to my dad’s house so I will definitely be back soon. The place was extremely clean and beyond comfortable. Great fishing in the pond and so relaxing . To not hesitate to book this place . There is a bridge you must cross and it’s a little steep but manageable and kinda fun. Skip was an awesome host and very quick to respond. 10/10

This place is a cute hidden gem! very peaceful & quiet. the house has everything you would need. the upgraded bedding & lines are much appreciated. My fur babies loved enjoying the outdoors chasing squirrels. The host was very friendly & responsive! loved the water pressure in the shower! we will be back!

Took my gbabies for a night little pricey for one night yet worth it, with a kayak and 3 seat boat, beautiful place, fish were biting, they were so thrilled and didn't want to leave!! I will definitely do this again!!

Our family spent a long weekend at Alex’s place for the 2024 eclipse. The house was very comfortable and worked well for us and our preschooler. The area is nice and quiet. The foosball table, ping pong table, and other games were a really fun perk. All the TVs were Roku TVs, which made it really easy to stream everything. Host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend.
