This place was absolute amazing!! Very cozy and relaxing makes you feel right at home 😊! Great communication!! Lots to do and making memories!!! Sitting around the campfire was so relaxing and waking up to the view of the lake was so relaxing! Neighbors were amazing and very friendly!!! Had everything you needed. Including a washer and dryer was a plus!!! We’ll be back to stay!!!

This is our 5th time staying here and it is always wonderful. We has such a great girls weekend cooking in the kitchen and sitting on the patio. Even though this time we watched more TV because it rained the whole weekend. It was still relaxing. Looked forward to next year. Thank you Joel.

Pictures do not do this home justice. The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Check in was easy. The pier fishing was great Could not have asked for a better place to spend time with my family!

We loved this place. Great location, beautiful view from sun up to sun down. Had everything we needed. A/C works great downstairs, upstairs we needed a fan, but there was one available so we were all set. We would definitely stay here again.

The home was amazing with a gorgeous view of the lake! Cement steps into the lake made it easy for everyone to have access to swim. Evenings on the porch were the best with a constant breeze blowing and boat watching. Highly recommend! We look forward to booking again!

Great place to fish, caught about 14 catfish in one day, night time I would fish from backyard area, lots of spiders on the dock at night.

The peaceful atmosphere made for a truly relaxing stay, and being right on Lake Athens was an incredible bonus. A friend picked me up from Laura’s dock, and we had an unforgettable fishing experience—I even caught a 7-pound largemouth bass! Every detail was thoughtfully provided: the air conditioning was perfect, WiFi was fast, TVs worked flawlessly, and the kitchen was well-stocked with essentials. This location was ideal for my business needs, and I’m so glad I booked it—I’ll definitely be back! When an emergency cut my stay short, Laura handled the situation with grace and kindness, which I deeply appreciate. The exceptional value and top-tier hospitality make this a standout place, and I wish Laura and her family all the best. I’m grateful for the wonderful experience she has created for others. Lovely and clean three bedroom lake cottage across the road from the lake, with good views of Lake Palestine from the house and 15 minute drive to Chandler. Good kitchen and bathrooms, beds are comfortable. Nice back porch, with shade in the morning. They have constructed a viewing porch above the new concrete covered driveway for even better lake views. It's peaceful to sit up there, or sit on the front porch and also view the lake. The road in front of the house is quiet, with little traffic, and walkable to both sides, good lake views during walks along the road near the lake. The concrete driveway was closed while we were there, so ask the hostess if the driveway is open if you need additional parking. Construction of the new driveway and shed looked mostly finished, but a new fence was in process. Also there is little drawer space for your stuff, you may have to live out of a suitcase. We stayed three nights.

Great place close to the lake,has good size yard for parking,clean on the inside and has a good lay out with several bathrooms and showers

Hollie was a great host. She responded to my inquiries quickly. We enjoyed her place on the lake. Very peaceful place to relax and reconnect with family. Enjoy bird watching on the back patio while watching the lake. I would highly recommend this location if you want a nice quiet place to relax. Tammy

I stayed here for a little weekend getaway with some friends and we loved everything about this property! Karen was so helpful and sent all the info we could possibly need ahead of time. The house is darling and has so many little touches and amenities. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable, Spacious, Clean, with plenty of beds. The house is stocked with a few games. My family played Monopoly inside, bad mitten rackets outside. The back porch had a beautiful view of the Lake. I drank my Coffee there. Nice Covered Fishing Dock. We caught Brim and Catfish. Grandkids enjoyed swimming off the Dock with floats. My Family will definitely rebook. June West
