We had the most amazing and relaxing time on the property, everything was clean and gorgeous. The sound of the river was wonderful and a great way to relax as well as being beautiful. The home was also well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The porch was a little oasis from the home itself and you could sleep out there it was so calming. The owners Dawn and Randall were very communicative and accommodating and made this process as easy as possible! We are definitely coming back to the area and would love to reserve this place again. 5/5 stars

This house was super comfortable, and the location is ideal for enjoying the Tuckasegee river centrally located close to Sylva and Dillsboro. The kitchen is updated with all the amenities. The two bedrooms are comfortable and the porch is well done and very relaxing. We also enjoyed bonfires at night in the adjacent fire pit

Our stay in Sapphire was incredible, all because of the home and the homeowners' attention to detail! The house was not only beautifully situated on the Horseshoe River but was one of the most well-stocked homes we've ever rented. The house in Sapphire provided beautiful views, access to stunning hikes and local towns to tour. We brought our fly rods and spent may days hiking up and down the stairs, and there are a lot, but it is entirely worth the walk down and climb up, to spend time on the deck ideally situated on the river, allowing access to wade in and enjoy the water or fish. Additionally, the homeowners created a comprehensive reference book containing detailed information on hikes, waterfalls, national forest recommendations, and much more. We could not have picked a better home to spend the week! Thank you Zeb and Tara!

This place was so fantastic we are starting a new tradition of staying here! Easy access to the lake, the amenities were FAR BEYOND expectations and the proximity to local parks can’t be understated. Don’t look elsewhere, just book this location and you will be very happy.

It was one of the best vacations I've ever had, a beautiful and complete house, a wonderful and peaceful place, lush landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, I want to go back to the same place in the summer to be able to enjoy the lakes better. I recommend it to everyone.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and it is a treat. The home is charming and the location just beautiful. Carolyn has furnished the cabin with everything we could possibly need during our stay, and is very quick to respond to any questions. We plan to come back!

We rented Michael's house for a weekend kayaking trip on Lake Jocassee. The house is absolutely lovely and the location inside the state park was perfect. Michael is a very responsive, considerate host. I've already booked our next stay!

This was such a beautiful place to stay while we were witnessing my daughter’s graduation from WCU. It was so spacious, clean, and had gorgeous views, all while being minutes away from the University. The host was so proactive with communication and instructions for check in and out. The place was SPOTLESS. It’s an unforgettable trip!

We had the best stay! The house looks exactly like the photos. The extra touches were so appreciated. We loved watching the wildlife from the porch. We spent so much time on the screened porch since there were heaters to use at night. Great for families to spread out or be together. Thank you for having us!

Jake’s Gem was fantastic! My family stayed for the week of Christmas. We watched nightly Christmas movies as a family in the cozy living room with soft fuzzy blankets on the big screen hung above the fireplace. We visited many local restaurants that were a short drive from the house. Also, we visited the pool/hot tub and game room at the Sapphire Valley Resort multiple days, which is a few minutes drive from the house. Jake was a wonderful host and very responsive to my messages offering great information!!

The loveliest part of our stay was sitting out in the early mornings on the screened in covered deck with the fireplace ablaze, coffee in hand and relaxing with a cool breeze whispering through the trees. This is a place of comfy cozy…….stress has no place here, it’s peaceful and pleasing. My friends were so very pleased with this home ….thank you Dorothy for sharing your lovely home.

Beautiful home 🏠 in a very peaceful neighborhood! Saw lots of 🐿️ wildlife 🦌 while around the campfire 🔥 Found the tiny, hidden waterfall across the street 🤍 Met the wonderful neighbors! Visited Looking Glass Falls, Downtown, and went tubing! Great way to celebrate our 16th anniversary 🥰 Cellular service was nonexistent (but I'm not complaining), but the WiFi worked great! Overall, the house, the location, and the memories were worth every penny! 🤍

You can’t beat the view! Breathtaking view of the lake to have your morning coffee or evening cocktail while enjoying the sunset. We found Linneas place to be perfect for what we needed, with kayaks for our boys to explore, fishing off the dock and only a short drive to town. The home is beautiful and well equipped for what we needed to enjoy the wonderful week on lake Glenville! Linnea was a pleasure to work with and attentive as well. We can’t wait to go back!

Jeffrey’s place exceeded our expectations—it was even better than the photos. Thoughtfully stocked, spotless, and incredibly spacious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. He was very communicative and kind!

We just returned from a fantstic week long getaway at Lake Toxaway at Jennifer's place. The house is located in a quiet, peaceful cove with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The porch was so nice, we ended up eating every meal outside. The house was exactly as pictured, very clean and well equipped. The neigborhood was lovely with beautiful roads and houses. We took walks and took our nine year old on bike rides around the neigborhood. Jennifer was very responsive to all of our needs. The only thing better than our week at the lake would have been two weeks!!!!

We stayed at Lonnie’s place to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. We are a family of 6, with teenagers of different ages. Lonnie’s place was clean, homey and felt like home. Great restaurants in the area - about 15 min drive in any direction. Place was a bit harder to find at night, but provided directions were perfect and we did not have any trouble at all. Grocery store is a short drive, made our life easier. The location is beautiful - the view of the lake is magical and surrounding area feels very safe. We used the house as a base for hiking trips -big variety of options 10 months or 40 min away. In 4 days we feel we just scratched the surface. Also close to kayaking, tubing and other water sports. Tv downstairs was easy to operate and wifi signal was great - I was able to log into zoom calls for work. Inside the house, the supplies in the kitchen are great: plenty of plates, glasses, cups and cutlery. Also many spices and condiments. Thank you - it was a great time!

The ad is spot on, the pictures are accurate. This is a cozy downstairs apartment in a unique circular house in an amazing location in one of the most wonderful places we have ever been. It is in the mountains AND on a lake, the ultimate combination. Cool nights and mornings and the perfect temperature to enjoy time on the lake or exploring the surrounding nature. It is cozy and comfortable with typical mountain cabin type furniture. You will spend a lot of time outside just staring out at the ducks and sunshine reflecting on the lake through the trees. The host was wonderful. She was available anytime for anything you needed, from delicious blueberry muffins to advice on things to do. Highly recommend this very affordable option in a location full of 1-7 million dollar homes! You won’t find a nicer host or a more beautiful location. Bring a boat, rent one there or just swim to the most beautiful waterfall on the lake 100 yards away!

The home was beautiful and Randy was a super friendly host. We had an issue with the alarm and when I reached out for help he was quick to assist. He was very friendly and a great host. The home is tucked in the mountains with a beautiful view and peaceful area. Thank you so much for sharing your home with my family.

We had a house full at Kim’s house and the bedroom/bathroom count was perfect. We loved the fire pit and corn hole. The kitchen was amazing - essentials and more! We cooked all weekend. The location was quiet but convenient, cozy but close to town and Highlands was a short beautiful drive away. We fished, shopped, hiked, played games and watched football on the huge TV. It was a magical spot. You won’t be disappointed if you come here. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Kim!

Two families stayed here for a local wedding. Everyone had their own space and private bathroom. We also went fishing off the dock, kayaking and canoeing in the lake, made s’mores at the fire pit and swam in the lap pool. On the morning of the wedding we experienced a power outage due to a local accident. We contacted Liz for information on the power outage. She responded quickly and let us know the status of the outage which was resolved quickly. She was great!
