Chalet holiday rentals in Lackawaxen Township

My wife and I enjoyed our winter anniversary stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. We enjoyed time by the fire place, free streaming services, and the Keurig(bring bottled water for coffee). The area around the cabin was very walkable in a development with two lakes. It was close to amenities like Walmart (we had to purchase wash clothes and firewood), the interstate and food. We recommend to bring your own pillow if you like them soft. The water pressure was fine in the kitchen but low in the bathroom. Jessica was easily reached to work out any questions. If you are looking for a cozy, comfortable cabin close to everything, stay with Jessica. We would stay again.

Excellent great place has plenty of room 2 of the bedroom has private bathroom and the basement with the bar and the pool to play was great. Has a fire pit outside.

My husband and I adored this place! It was in a beautiful location that was very peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. It was a nice escape from the city where we are from. It was a very friendly community and the lake was a walk away. We were fortunate enough to be during a snowstorm and it made everything mystical and cozy. We got to stay in, cook a nice meal, watch movies and see the snow fall! The place was absolutely beautiful and everything you could imagine/hope for as a cabin in the poconos. It had absolutely everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t even do the beauty and warmth of this home justice! Magda was very welcoming, attentive to our needs, and quick with her responses. We felt at home and would love to come back and enjoy another getaway in this dreamy woodsy wonder.

We had a fantastic stay at John’s lovely, cozy home! There was plenty of space for our group and 3 toddlers who loved the game room, also the games provided. We enjoyed the pool table downstairs and the spacious indoor and outdoor areas to hang out. The location was convenient, close to the lake and stores making it easy to enjoy nearby activities. John was amazing, I booked a day before and he made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for families! Thank you 😊

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and peaceful getaway, just a short 2-hour drive from NYC. The place is beautifully laid out, quiet, and surrounded by nature, it really feels like a true escape. We especially loved spending our time playing board games, relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and listening to the birds each morning. One small suggestion to the host: consider installing an electronic lock for convenience, as it’s easy to accidentally leave the key inside. Also, adding a microwave would be a great bonus for quick meals. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Great house! Arek was responsive and helped us with whatever we needed. Kids had a blast with the ping pong and the arcade. Well stocked kitchen and great living space. We loved the table and chairs on the deck overlooking the lake.

Brian was an excellent host! He has a lovely home and it was perfect for our long weekend with our family. Absolutely beautiful outdoor surroundings with two fire pits. Lovely decor throughout his home and even a little coffee closet (so cute!). Brian was so accommodating and responsive to our many requests and always very helpful.

Danny is a great host. Very responsive and helpful, and he even offered to mail me something I forgot to take home. The chalet itself is a charm with all the amenities needed, 100% worth a stay. We will definitely be back when we get a chance!

We had such a wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed—so well supplied with towels, soap, laundry detergent, and everything necessary to cook and bake. Kevin even left us some snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch! My favorite part was the coffee bar—fully stocked with different flavors to choose from. Coffee lovers will be in heaven! The playroom downstairs was a hit with the kids! My child, nieces, and nephews had a blast playing arcade games and even enjoyed the karaoke machine. The house was beautifully decorated and felt cozy and inviting. We also loved watching the wildlife—spotting deer and birds right outside the window was such a treat! The location was easy to find, with Larsen Lake just around the corner. My daughter fished for the first time and even caught a fish—she had so much fun! Kevin was a great host—he checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly and was easy to reach if we had any questions. We truly felt taken care of!

My family loved spending a couple of nights here for a weekend getaway. Hosts were very proactive and shared a detailed website about the property which was so helpful and answered all questions upfront. We did have a couple of questions while on site, and the host responded right away. And although the weather was not optimal for the pool, our kids were still able to enjoy it because of flexibility of check in

Elyse was a fantastic host, really quick to respond. The property was excellent, the whole family really was able to relax and enjoy the nature right in the backyard as well as the fun games in the game room. Everything as far as attractions were within 10-15 minutes, so really convenient. Would come again

We had a nice stay at the house, even though the weather wasn’t ideal during most of our trip. Thankfully, the hot tub, jacuzzi, and game room kept us entertained and made for a cozy, relaxing experience indoors. When the weather finally cleared, we loved getting out on the lake with the kayaks and paddleboard. The area is peaceful and surrounded by nature — we saw plenty of wildlife, which was a real highlight! A special thank you to the host — my son really enjoyed and appreciated the gift you left for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay feel even more personal. Overall, the home had everything we needed to enjoy our time, rain or shine. We’d love to come back during a sunnier stretch to enjoy even more of what the area has to offer.

We had a wonderful weekend for my husband’s birthday with our two small children. Edo and Nata helped create a wonderfully intimate birthday celebration with snacks and balloons waiting for us upon entry. They anticipated our needs and had the playpen and highchair set up, making check in with a baby, very easy! As parents, we appreciated all of the kid’s toys, silverware and puzzles left around the space. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! I visited with my two daughters and two of their friends, it was the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. The home was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the hot tub, sauna, and fire pit—such fun and relaxing amenities that made our stay feel extra special. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and the host was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Kellie's house is amazing! We would definifely come again. The hot tub and sauna were great to relax in. We really like that the back yard was fenced in so that we could bring our dog with us! Beautiful place, highly recommend to anyone.

This house was great, this was honestly the cleanest airbnb I’ve ever rented. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Would absolutely rent again. I only had 2 minor issues, 1. The water in the house was not great, we always travel with bottled water so this was fine for us, but for anyone traveling here I would recommend bringing bottled water if you don’t normally do so 2. They don’t have a trash pickup service for the local area, you have to drive your trash up the street to a compactor which was honestly really easy, but they’re closed on Tuesday and Thursdays. We had a Thursday checkout, so it was annoying that we had to figure out how to get rid of trash that we couldn’t the day before, which when you travel with a dog, it’s just not a good time. Even with the 2 small issues it’s still a 5 star visit for us, we would absolutely rent again. Those issues are completely out of the airbnbs control, and the owners were quick to respond and helpful.

My family and I had an amazing time at this location! The pictures were absolutely representative of what we saw. There were plenty of space and very modern appliances and furnishings. A huge plus was the fire pit where we made hot dogs during the day and s'mores at night.=) Very well lit outside and safe surroundings, which was paramount for my family. The hot tub was beautiful! We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as well as watching movies in the amazing movie room...we even had a karaoke contest via the karaoke system. This is a great place for friends and families as it allows privacy and common areas for all to share. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful A-frame home!! Thanks Zaras Getaways!!!!!

What a relaxing stay for our mini getaway. I will start with the responsiveness and friendliness! Great hosts. When we checked in, we saw a bday balloon (for my bf’s bday), water, a bday glass, and pretzels. Totally sweet and welcoming! House was spotless. We loved the view, fireplace, and hot tub. We cooked some great meals on the grill. We took out the paddleboat for a quick trip which was so much fun. We also enjoyed watching movies on the huge tv downstairs. It was a quick, relaxing time away. Thank you for having everything that made our time away worth it!

3rd times the charm!!! This was 3rd straight year myself & my crew(family), plus Charlie(Golden Retriever) have been to Alyson & Rob's house! Even though Mother Nature wasn't on our side all weekend, we still had an awesome weekend! Daytime down by the lake, then spending nights around the fire with a few cocktails is a great weekend! Rob & Alyson are quick with a reply to any questions! Looking forward to next year for Round 4! Highly recommend!

Great location. It's nice and very open in the back with lots of trees. Very serene. Just wish the weather was better for the pool but enjoyed the hot tub a lot. Everything in and out of the house is in the right places. Will definitely consider coming back in the fall next time.

Great Poconos stay. Has it all! Well thought out, Spacious and cozy. Game room with ping pong table and billiards table is super! The house is located right across the street from the lake and a nearby shared dock to launch the owners kayaks. The hot tub is a nice touch. But wished it was in a nicer area to enjoy the environment. The host were super responsive and were very patient with us as we got to know the property. All the amenities worked well. Would surely rent again.

House was ideal for our party of 5 singles. Host responded quickly to questions prior to check in and was also one of the most clean homes we’ve been to in the area. Requirements and restrictions were straightforward and minimal, which was convenient. Host also sent timely check ins upon our arrival but were almost unnecessary since everything met or exceeded expectations from get go. Obviously coming back if available!

The views were breathtaking! The house was spacious and filled with everything imaginable! There were tons of toys for my grandson to play, games, crayons, TV in every room. He loved the upstairs bedrooms with the turtle light and went to sleep without a fuss! The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for us to cook, plus there was an outdoor grill, kayaks, a hot tub, the list was endless. Fred was always quick to respond and we really appreciated the flexibility and extra touches that made our long family weekend special! Loved having 3 floors so that we had our own floor to spread out at night and everyone slept peacefully. The downstairs bathroom looked recently renovated and was so comfortable and beautiful! Also loved that every room was equipped with it's own digital thermostat! We hope to be back later in the summer for another beautiful family weekend! This rustic, spacious "cabin" on the lake was a great place for us!
